Pat
That 525i is nice but he's insane if he thinks anyone will pay that much for it. That's the price range for a good 540i M Sport or a bad M5. Even in that condition with those miles, that's still a $4000 car on a good day. I also had a laugh at the "rare" fender markers - those were standard on all E34s in '95, and probably '94 as well (not 100% on that). The 2000 CS is ace, though, aside from the badging error. sivispacem
That CS is gorgeous, but you'd have to be terminally stupid go think forty-six year old tyres are a notable positive. Flachbau
Wouldn't a set of tires that old show significant signs of age by now? I mean I guess it's entirely dependant on where it's been sitting, but that's just really odd.
sivispacem
They'd be absolutely perished to buggery. Ten years is about the shelf life of stored tyres, on a vehicle and exposed to the elements it's typically less. Pavle
There's this blog that sometimes features cool cars for sale that are ex-YU countries. This one is on a Slovenian car website: 1970 Mazda Luce 1500 Deluxe First owner, 69k original miles, for 5,500 euros. linky Pat and epoxi

epoxi
Serious question: is a car like this worth $7,000 in the US? http://raleigh.craigslist.org/ctd/5839407265.html 2002 Acura RL with 125,000 miles In the UK the car was sold as "Honda Legend" and even in the best condition with sub-100k will sell for under US$2,000, so I'm having a hard time telling if a car really holds that much value in the US or if the dealer is just trying his luck. Pat
The paper floor mats and lack of a license plate scream buy-here-pay-here dealership, and that would explain the outrageous asking price. Flachbau and epoxi

Can you haggle with BHPH dealers down to a reasonable price if you have cash, or is it a waste of time? There are a hell of a lot of them around. Pat
I've never dealt with a BHPH myself but I'm willing to bet a lot of them don't want cash deals, they want idiots who will finance at ridiculous interest rates. I know a guy that used to work at a car dealership and he had a couple come in once in a like, I think '02 Mercury Cougar that was in awful condition and they were financing it through a BHPH for something like $600 a month. Pat
I'm completely serious, if I could afford a $7K loan right now I'd be contacting the seller. It looks like it even has the L6 interior, which I can say from personal experience kicks the sh*t out of most modern interiors. I posted it on the Facebook group for The Vintage, maybe someone in there will get it and I can see it in person next year. Pat
Yeah I'm double posting but it's been a week and it's f*cking worth it: https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5901472571.html This is an insanely low price for a B10 even considering the transmission. I figured they'd be asking $12K before opening the ad, and I thought it would be a steal even at that price. I don't know how this didn't sell immediately after being posted. sivispacem
The non-turbo B10s were all automatics AFAIK. Today, I'm mostly coveting This Tornado/GBS GT40 replica. Ford 302, SVO heads, four twin Weber 48's... Also, This seems surprisingly cheap for a 964 RSR, even one built on a standard 964 shell. 380bhp 3.8 RSR spec motor. Pat
Here's a 1953 Dodge Meadowbrook from one of my local facebook groups, asking $5K with 79K original miles. I would want to chrome the bumpers and headlight/taillight trim myself (or possibly body match the latter - would definitely want to do a mockup in PS first to get an idea of how it might look) but that's not very expensive. The only thing is, it's a 3 on the tree. I'd be more willing to DD something this old than most people, but man, I would not DD a 3 on the tree. Flachbau
https://newyork.craigslist.org/wch/cto/6050554991.html Not sure how to feel about the price but it seems to be a decent offer.. and you don't see many of them around here. 54K original miles, 5 speed manual trans. That being said, I'm sure it probably has some rust on the undercarriage, also looks like there's some where the rear license plate goes, unless that's something else. Edit: I was told this is a "onevia", which makes it even more interesting Edited April 13, 2017 by Android Murciélago
