Pat
I'm curious, which do you guys prefer? The E34 M5, or the B10 Biturbo? I mean, can you really even compare them when you consider that the B10 is worth twice as much in comparable condition? Anyway, here's a B10 on BaT. Flachbau
I've always loved Alpina models, and that one in particular looks like it's been babied it's entire life. I appreciate it when owners actually look after their cars. The decals / pinstripes are a bit unappealing to me, but I guess it suits the car. I found a Toyota Soarer tonight on Craigslist, looks awesome. It's RHD, but it's an auto.. link Zyo, Pat, epoxi and 1 other

Pat
http://chattanooga.craigslist.org/pts/5634925175.html I could have afforded this next month, but the guy is so eager to get it gone that there's no chance it will last that long. I mean, sh*t dude, 5 speed swaps for my car are usually $600 by themselves, and with this I could probably recoup my investment by parting everything else out. Seriously if I had $500 and a trailer I would be on my way down there tomorrow. Pavle and Flachbau
Pavle
Since we're looking for a car to get, mom said we could get a used car if it's good. I found this nice first-gen Miata. Showed it to her, and she was like "ooh it's too old. I don't want that." After discussing it with her she said she's interested, and we might look into it anymore. We don't need a hatchback or a sedan, basically we don't need a family car since us the kids are grown up now. Here's the Miata: http://www.polovniautomobili.com/putnicka-vozila/8258826/mazda-mx-5 Has 200k+ miles on the clock, 1991, registered, has all the papers, and has a propane tank. I'd get it for myself if I had the monies.
epoxi
It's a very unusual car: it looks resprayed (non-standard colour), as you say it has an LPG conversion, but also I notice it has an extra rear fog light. Usually the additional light means it's a Japanese import because JDM cars don't have fog-lights so it is added to meet European regulations, however it's LHD and doesn't have the JDM trunklid (for square number plate) so I doubt it's actually Japanese car. It looks well kept, 125k miles is reasonable for the age. I think my main concern would be whether it has been accident damage (hence the paint respray) and the fact the car has almost zero luggage space with that LPG tank. universetwisters
A make & model that's a couple years older than the one I grew up in for 1600, I think it's a good deal. sivispacem
Love the E21. Had one as a track car a while back until my mate binned it. Picked it up from done old biddy for an idiotically small sum of money, it was her daily driver until the exhaust rusted through. She took it to some aftermarket custom stainless place and it ended up being so loud she never drove it again. Wish we'd kept it because they're worth a small fortune now. Svip
You can get a 1950s Lamborghini, an RM2, for only 15000 DKK (~1500 GBP/~2000 EUR/~2500 USD). Ad. epoxi
Tow bar is a big warning sign the engine might have been under some stress, the rust on that exhaust is likely consistent with the rest of the car's under-body (salty NY roads). To be fair most cars with decent body panels look very clean when polished and detailed, you could make the average Civic look like that for a couple hundred dollars and some elbow grease. sivispacem
Saw this posted on another forum I lurk on http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C734720 Terrible photos, but a lovely car. Very late (95/M) Audi S2 Avant. 230bhp from the factory, proper AWD, urQ derived 5-pot, utterly bulletproof and very stylish in that boxy, 90s way. You could probably knock him down to £5k, which seems pretty good for such a rare car. Only 64 left on the road in the UK. With a bit of love and care they can be made to look like this: epoxi, Flachbau and Pat 3 AMD Ryzen 5900X (4.65GHz All-Core PBO2) | Gigabye X570S Pro | 32GB G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz CL16 EK-Quantum Reflection D5 | XSPC D5 PWM | TechN/Heatkiller Blocks | HardwareLabs GTS & GTX 360 Radiators Corsair AX750 | Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic XL | EVGA GeForce RTX2080 XC @2055MHz | Sabrant Rocket Plus 1TB Sabrant Rocket 2TB | Samsung 970 Evo 1TB | 2x ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Q Acoustics 2010i | Sabaj A4
Pat
Saw this today on the Middle TN BMW enthusiast facebook group: I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole myself, but I figured it was impressive enough to share. SouthLand
The only valid reason to buy that BMW is once you get it, throw everything away and rebuild it with a new engine, clutch, transmission...In other worlds, i would buy it if the price is the same as buying one from a junkyard.
Pat
That wouldn't really make any sense at all, you'd spend several times the price of a different one in good condition. That car is for someone that needs something cheap they can drive until it finally gives up and dies. As long as they've kept up the maintenance, it should still have a surprising amount of life left in it, and I doubt it would have made it to almost 400k if it had been neglected and abused. sivispacem
If it's done 400k it's probably been maintained pretty fastidiously. It's probably in pretty decent order. sivispacem
It's f*cking awful I'm afraid. That spoiler in particular. The quality of the fit and finish is also shocking.
