Anyone else finding themselves playing GTA Online less often?

Lately, I find myself spending less time on GTA Online than I used to. Back in 2013-2014, GTA Online was pretty much the only thing I played. Now, I often don't play for several days in a row. Part of the reason is that I'm taking some tough college classes this semester, so I don't have as much time for gaming, but also because I'm currently more focused on Forza Motorsport 6. Furthermore, there are other great games coming out this fall, so I can see myself focusing more on those.

 

Anyone else finding themselves playing GTA Online less often?

Eh. Tried switching it up a bit. Little bit of Mad Max, Until Dawn, BF4, patiently waiting for these new games in the following months.

 

But no matter how many god damn times I sell that f*cking gta game, it always makes my way back into the house. It's a love hate relationship.

Actually lately I'm playing it a ton because my laptop caught fire and I can't afford a decent replacement just yet. When you can't PC game at all, you're... limited in what you can do.

 

There aren't many PS4 games that are worth playing. I can't afford the new Destiny expansion so that game's a bust. The Witcher 3 bored me to hell for some reason. I'm just stuck playing GTA V and Rocket League on PS4, and the occasional game of Guitar Hero on 360 (which I can't even Twitch stream anymore).

 

It's a pain.

I play it on and off now compared to (nearly) two years ago. Got more bored since the fixes and nerfs (fixed gate launch, glitched airport gates, and killed the fun with the cargobon and titan).

 

I mainly play to make time go faster so I can get paid in real life quicker.

the last update was final straw for me, I announced closure of my crew yesterday, after two years. Clearly R* have no attention of online being the criminal enterprise and crew orientated game it was made out to be. Its just the bastard son of COD and SAintsRow now, no thanks.

There's just nothing left in the game. Not complaining though, GTA online lasted me 2 years which is one of the longest for me in my book. I still go back into it from time to time.

Now playing Elder Scrolls Online =) and having a blast. Might just last more than 2 years.

Been bored since I completed all the heists and even more bored since completing Criminal Mastermind. GTA O is a fantastic game, there is no denying that fact when you look at what Rockstar have created and realise there is no other game that offers the same experience. Having said that, it's been 2 years with nothing game changing or innovative. Seems to me that Rockstar have inadvertently created an MMO and don't realise it as they clearly have no idea where to take the game, as we can see by the update content being a bit "what on earth were they smoking?!".

 

However, it is deeply flawed. The same connection issues persist after nearly 2 years, no DLC (only forced updates which often break the game more than they fix it), the ranking system is totally screwed - it's good in that you are guaranteed certain items (unlike Destiny which is annoyingly random) which are an upgrade once you reach certain ranks but going beyond 135 is totally pointless, update weapons being available to everyone regardless of rank, too much content aimed at people too young to play the game and idiots, too much hand holding (single player heists were a hell of a lot better than online).

 

But above all else, no dedicated servers - why? Just why? It makes no sense!

Yep, this game is all I played since it was released. Absolutely love the game, but the lack of attention to detail and not addressing things that should be obvious, just has me frustrated beyond belief. This last update was by far the biggest disappointment, and that's no small feat. Now all I do on gta basically is help people spawn dubsta 2s and fill my garages with them.

 

I'm so sick of Pegasucks, for one thing, that I won't even call it to get my vehicles anymore. Now they put a fully modded insurgent pickup in one of the crappy new events? Wtf? That's like a slap in the face to those of us who've been screaming for even basic mods to Pegasucks vehicles forever. "Hey look at this fully modded insurgent pickup, too bad you can't do this with the one you paid over a million bucks for huh?" This just seems to be Rockstar's style. They've made a habit of taunting us with things that we should have, but can't. sh*t gets old.

Yeah February. But on the plus side... it really looks like they are taking it to the next level - it looks awesome.

Overall yes i am playing it a little less, not because of the being bored, my switch to the PS4 made the game feel fresh again,

 

But mainly because when i jumped to the Ps4 GTA5 was not the only game i brought home with me with the two consoles

The games "The Last of Us"and the "Batman" were bundled games, I havent tried the Batman game yet (wife keeps hogging the disc lol) But "The Last of us" seems like it might have the possibility of being a good game.

 

COD AW got some of my time because i wanted to do the campaign of the game since i didnt do it on the PS3

MGTPP will get some playtime for sure already tried it and like it

But the Witcher 3 has got me captivated with its story so its getting a lot of my playtime for now, I do wish it had an online element to it

 

I play GTA everyother night or so because i like the game, But not getting notified when friends come online has hurt it some, I guess this one thing has caused me to start and finish the story modes to GTA5 (once again) and to COD AW, because when i sign in there is no one on, and i just hit the story mode....and several times after playing for a few hours and ready to sign off ..i see several friends on playing that came online but no notification to know this ..this will probably change IF the PS4 systems gets undated and includes this feature

The only real difference for me is that now I don't feel I NEED to play all night...now it's more of me playing for as long as I WANT to (which is still quite often). I've got all the cash 4 characters could need and nothing to spend it on, so I'm enjoying just doing what I want to do, be it the free roam events for the past week and change or help a friend in a heist if I feel like it. I've returned to simply having fun in the game and it keeps it alive for me.

Barely play it anymore since they just add a couple cars every couple months and that's it.

 

We need more playable content, not clothes and cars... (Even though I do get in just to check the new cars, they are like 50% the reason I love GTA)
