Could be that they were using a private fivem version and since that project got taken down by R they can't share it

Map was done already by GTARandom, placement is working fine, so authomatic conversion from IDE/OPL to YTYP/YMAP is needed and voila.

Looks like something related to LS map is still loaded and models sometimes dissapear, like occluders or something.

Fixed by NTA.

Still, not a bad idea for anyone planning to release LC. Create an addon for like (V Vegetation/Props), it might fight in some situations, not all but kek.

Just wondering - does it replace core files (if so, which?)

 

Also, would it be possible to make it load as a DLC / Override? Save space instead of make my backups n stuff.

Does it have proper LODs and stuff? IIRC, FiveM map loader didn't support LODs at all, which led to the lack of reflections. Are they present here?

They're missing because they weren't in GTARandom's map for FiveM or because there's still no way to make them work?

In about a week, I will have access to my old PC so I can get the EFLC Map Update files. It would be best if you used that map if you plan on including the episodic content. Then I'll have to get the TBOGT PC Quality Texture update on the the EFLC Map Update map so you won't have old gen textures lurking around (except in TBOGT interiors, but it isn't very noticeable).

 

Also, I am hoping that we can get the LC map running in the map group that the SP DLC was supposed to be running on. That way we can switch between LC and LS/Blaine County on the fly.

How about converting map updates from Episodes as a separate content pack? Then the map could be switched between original IV and Episodic variant, just like SP and MP Los Santos. I know a bunch of people who love IV, but strongly dislike both Episodes.

EDIT. I heard that LC map was a mess. Are you going to optimize it like you did with 1984 Vice City map, or you leave it as it is?

Firstly, let's do the stock map with props and linked LOD objects to keep good performance. Finally we'll see LC in 60FPS, "remastered".

I think it's now time to bring up an old question.

Theoretically, will it be hard to port original IV or VisualIV weathers to GTA V? I mean, one day there'll be a IV to V conversion and it will need weather system too, that's only question of time.

Well, since _CP_ has done both VisualV and VisualIV and knows the ins and outs of both timecyc systems, you should probably ask him.

 

I think going from scratch is easier though.
