~Tiger~
I won’t look at the sky. I know it is the colour of blood. A festering tempestuous finale And I know the fires still rage. The alarm rang for days but now there is silence. I can still see the flash. The moment that day became night. And as I squeezed my eyes tightly closed, The light became brighter and brighter, And then.... Oh god, and then the noise. The rumble that rushed to a thundering crescendo, As the world was torn away. As my mind was torn away. The landscape is blackness now. A red and black nightmare. Ash falls from the sky like negative snow. All is silent. Once, a telephone rang but it was probably just another warning. I want to go outside, But if anything were to happen to me, There would be no-one left to look after the children. And it is time for the children to go out and play. I wonder which one of them will die today? Two minutes before the end, Life was normal. Now there is nothing. The cobwebs of existence have been swept away by the hand of war. The hand of mankind. I must be firm. I must be strong. After all… It’s only the end of the world. saintsrow, GerryM, Vik and 1 other
