I only beat it by a second on a clean run in the re7b. after playing the game as much as I have, I wouldn't consider myself a noob driver, but seeing people beat by way more in older cars has me scratching my head wondering what I need to do to improve.

Sure do. Has to be something in my technique I suppose: was never really a racer, more a money guy, but I diddnt consider myself a bad driver by no stretch til I saw this thread lol.

To be fair if you can beat this time trial then you're at the least a fast driver. It's not like the RE is so quick that anyone could easily do it using it, you still need to be able to tame the beast and drive it well.

 

It's easy to read these threads and feel like you must be pretty slow but there are some excellent drivers in here. Anyone who can beat par in any vehicle is a skilled racer in my book.

Maybe watch some of the vids in this thread and see the times they have at certain points, and compare to your times. Maybe you can see where you are loosing time

I bettered myself to 1min45.xish.. My son was a lil jealous of my time and he put his old man to sleep, ehhe...

 

He pulled of a 1min43.5secs... Time to try and better him, ehhe... We got a good competition between us going on here... TBH, he's a (way) better racer than me. Being 30 years younger helps a lil too, I guess... ;-)

If you can't beat him before the TT ends tell him he's grounded.

My old man gave me the same line any time I beat him at Snooker, cribbage, shooting or golf.

Hehe, I wouldn't go so far. I'm actually pretty proud he's giving his ol man a lesson in this TT (and racing). It's very entertaining (for me at least) seeing him fly over the tracks. He doesn't like it that much, as he says I'm putting to much pressure on him, just by watching him, ehhe...

 

Anyhow, the combo of the RE7 and this week's time trial is much fun.. What's not so funny is some folks lure the cops on themselves and then they camp on the TT-route... Had that happen twice....

How many fps did you have?

It was jumping between 100 and 130, it was never stable.

But I avraged a 120 I think.

^ That's only possible using that PC FPS bug, right? I doubt I could break 1:50 on the XBox - the car just doesn't go that fast.

Damn that Voltic run was smooth af though. If it could maintain that top speed from the boost it would demolish this trial.

I've been trying the Furry route a bit today on PS4, but the closest I've come is about 7 seconds over; has anyone else managed it? I think the snow is screwing me on the corners, but I don't know if a dry road would save me that much time.
