GTA 5 Online: Prison Break Finale

Hey Guys,

Some tips for the finale if you don't already know.

The supposed glitch where you can't lose the wanted level is not really a glitch (as far as I know).

Demolitions HAS to stay back beside the wind farm and destroy at least three choppers. If you are playing the role of demolitions DO NOT get in front of the Velum or try to race it to the checkpoint.

Also, if you are the pilot, don't take off as soon as you get to the plane. You have 8 minutes, it only takes 2 minutes to get to the airfield. This gives demolitions plenty of time to grab the prison bus, destroy it and then get in the buzzard.

Hope this helps.

It's long overdue that someone made a post like this. There's only 2 things (that I know of) that might need to be added.

1. As the pilot, the safest place to fly is behind the jets. They don't have any weapons pointing backwards and they'll fly slower allowing demolitions an easier kill.

2. As demolition, steer clear of the prison. I'm not sure if the trigger is getting within a set range or firing missiles into the compund, but they do have RPGs and the officers know how to use them.

no, it's not "long overdue" as there are already many tipps&tricks threads and guides about this!

Well thanks for the support 'size_m', LOL. I guess not everybody pays such close attention to these tips and tricks as you.

Every time I play Prison Break in one of the other roles, the pilot takes off straight away and 70% of the time the dreaded "Heist failed, Velum was destroyed" appears.

I have yet to play with another pilot who has the patience to stay on the ground (despite much texting from me) until the timer goes down to at least 3 minutes.

50% of the time Demolitions thinks its a race to get to the Drop Zone, when what they should be doing is their job of 'demolishing'.. The clue is in the job description.

Not sure why you're so upset at more information being posted size_m, In my opinion the more help the better in this game.

Thanks for the support FireBird58, appreciate it.

that's true though.

but unfortunately this thread won't change very much, as the majority of the player base out there doesn't read on this forum.

Who spawns lazers this far after heists come out? I never see a lazer on the finale now. Demolitions helps in the prison (from a safe distance). Pilot lands right outside the prison just as the two in the prison are coming out. Lazers don't spawn, demolition just has to take out one or two cars coming for the plane then hit the choppers as the plane flys to safety.

With demoliton helping with the prison you can run through it very quickly so taking off at 2 minutes to go would be a bad thing, this is why I circle the casino until given my que to bring it in. Although to be fair, the lazer pilots are dumb, if you get taken out by a lazer you don't deserve to be playing the game.

Personally, I think it's great that you're posting tips, Aliashu.

I don't mean to derail, but I just wanted to share my thoughts.

It really doesn't matter if it's been written before or how many people will find your posts. The bottom line is that you had the info and you decided to help others by posting it. If it's already been posted, it just means that there's one more place you can find it. And numbers don't matter. It's still an awesome thing to help people, even if only one person found your post helpful.

As you already pointed out, there can't be too much information out there. Especially in a game where a good number of people are rude and unhelpful.

So good on you, and don't let this discourage you from posting.

Trust me, there will be people that will not only deny the usefulness of your posts, but there will also be people who feel the need to insult you and make you feel like crap for even trying.

For example, I posted my strategy guide on another forum, and holy crap! You would have thought that I had posted nazi propaganda! They really ripped me a new one, when all I was trying to do was help. But I kept trying, and as soon as I'm able, I will continue. Cause the way I see it, if I've helped even one person out, it was worth it.

Anyways, you have my support.

And personally, I haven't played the finale yet, as I spend most of my free time in free-roam, but when I do I'll keep these tips in mind.

-Victor

I actually prefer demolitions helps at the prison since noose in there are beefed up more than usual, I find anyways, and the pilot shouldn't have any trouble following the Lazers.

The outer perimeter fence is the boundary so if you can strafe the heli around the outside comfortably you'll be safe and save the ground team a lot of headache.

Also, the missiles actually spawn from nowhere. It's a fail safe R* put in to stop people from landing the buzzard in the prison, at least I think that'd be the reason.

My preferred role since I worked my way around the glitch has always been Demolitionist.

- I follow the objectives, from intercepting the Prison Bus to Stealing the Buzzard.

- from there I provide aerial cover for the Ground Team while the Pilot stays behind the Lazer until they get into the N.O.O.S.E van. I quickly down the two choppers that follows them and hover around until the objective changes from waiting for Rashkovsky and the Ground Team to board the plane to protecting the Velum. From there I haul ass to the drop zone and by the time I get there the wanted levels would have disappeared. From there everything should be fine :)

I don't know if it is worth noting that I play on Last-Gen...

Lol Victor Strawn.

Passive-aggressive much?

Just posted on yours and then looked at mine.

My apology still stands. The difference however is the length of time it takes to read 'helpful' Information (half hour V's 30 seconds).

You're too nice to be a sniper, stop it lol.

What?

You joking?

I'm unsure what to say.

Just being friendly, that's all.

I was just trying to help.

Why am I too friendly to be a sniper?

I never saw a reason to be unfriendly.

But I am getting frustrated now.
