Graphics Glitch in Games

Hi, everyone. Whenever I play a game for a while, it freezes. It stays frozen for about 10-15 seconds and once it is playable again the graphics is all messed up.

I play a lot of games, and it has happened with a lot of them.

Games where I encounter this glitch: GTA SA, VC, Max Payne 1 & 2, The Godfather (Game), Mafia, Call of Duty etc.

Please help as I have no idea how to fix this, and it's annoying. Only way I could reset the graphics is by restarting my computer.

CPU: Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.8GHz

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 - 256 mb

RAM: 1 GB

OS: Windows XP SP3

Would guess your graphics cards on its way out. Try getting the latest drivers.

 

But you do realise that you have a gaming pc from about 2003 so it may be that it is just gonna die on you.
