This thread puts a smile to my face every morning. Thanks scag This times a thousand. Ironically it isn't the V fans that keep resorting to childish attacks every five seconds. I genuinely don't know why I even bother coming back here. The attitude toward fans of GTA V is appalling. You aren't allowed to be positive without being called a fanboy. You aren't allowed to point out that the MAJORITY of players liked the game but can still admit it's flaws. You aren't allowed to compare it to other games in a critical way unless it is to sh*t all over V and gush over how much better any other game was. You aren't allowed to say you like all the games in the series in different ways. You aren't allowed to point out that younger fans should have the same amount of say in the direction of the series as the rest of us, and you definitely can't point out that most of us were kids when we started playing the games. And finally, you can't point out that from a practical business point of view, it frankly makes NO sense for Rockstar to ever make another SP Dlc ever again, because last time around, the dollar signs didn't show up, and I'm afraid this time would be no different. This thread puts a smile to my face every morning. Thanks scag First of all read my posts in this thread. I'm not saying that all V fans are preteens and I don't know why you're getting the impression that I'm a IV fanboy when I posted how I felt about V in this thread and how I thought it was a beautiful game but with flaws. Second of all, generalizing all GTA IV fans is just about as immature as you can get in this argument. Thanks for letting me know if I should block you. I don't have time for anymore of you "all IV fans" hypocrites. Even if I did say that all V fans were preteens, you claiming that all IV fans are pretentious would be very hypocritical. Nice job. @KV: You can't like IV or V without being a fanboy on this forum, don't you know? dyspoid
At some point in time, people will consider GTA V a classic in video game history. I can agree with all sides of the arguments proposed here because, honestly, everyone is right to a certain extent. The game was good in many areas, and poor in some other areas. My biggest gripe is that the areas that DID suffer were simple, little things that were almost perfect in other games - but this is a big, huge, monstrous issue for R* throughout every installment. Every time I booted up a new game in the franchise, I would hope to see the great aspects of precious games only to find them absent, with new good features in other areas. A little off topic, but I wish V had a little more of VCS in it. That game was fantastic and is easily one of my favourites. Why couldn't the businesses in V have emulated those in VCS? Algonquin Assassin
The attitude toward fans of GTA V is appalling. It's just as bad towards GTA IV fans really. I don't think it's right to insult anyone regardless of the reason, but both sides are as bad as eachother. Osho
V will be remembered in the future as a classic and one of the best games of last generation. It's pretty much guaranteed at this point.Nope. If you do sone research then you would find something interesting from some of the people raising the concerns with the results of "making multiplayer more, and more important that the story mode becomes less interesting, more disjointed and not nearly as much fun, with the increasing amount of development time put into multiplayer which affects the story mode quality to change dramatically. The struggle to meld single player and multiplayer has led to a number of other gaming disasters"Basically, the history of such single players will be remembered as full of failures, and disappointments. SP is clearly dependent upon the Title Updates, unless you are fine playing the vanilla and base 1.0 versions of any platform without downloading any updates. For PC, its even worse. You can't even play offline without periodic entitlement verification, and downloading extra DRM crap that is tied to your hardware, despite buying the game from Steam. Yeah, classic, my ass. Raynos
I just wish there was a way to just get away from the economy system and just have fun with the huge, expertly-crafted world with no pointless interruptions like that. Ok, yeah, it'll be fun for a few hours and then what? You'd get bored, just like single player and stop playing. The "economy" is what keeps online going, for me anyways. Someone would have to really have pissed me off for me to even consider blowing them in their T20, all my actions in online come down to considerations to economy. Heck, I just get a kick out of growing my GTA:O bank account. ($31,699,563) Also, the latest addition, Freemode events, dang, there's always something to do. I'd have to disagree with most of your points in the OP. Sure, there are things that could've been done better, regardless of that, this game is a close 9.8/10 for me. The amount of time I've spent playing GTA V and the amount of fun I've had and am still having is just enormous. I had GTA:V on last gen and played the sh*t outta it, the moment it landed on Ps4, I bought it again and am still playing the sh*t outta it. I bought it on Steam for pc aswell, just for support! Great value! that's just for me though. hornedturtle

Gnocchi Flip Flops
^ If I were you, I really wouldn't be calling anyone a moron. Don't try me. It seems nobody can have a discussion here without: 1) Throwing insults. 2) Repeating themselves fifty million times. 3) Throwing outlandish accusations and claims. 4) Generalizing and stereotyping everybody. I actually want to have a discussion but when sh*t like "VI will be hated and V will be loved" is thrown around, this thread gets stupid as f*ck. Saying stuff like that adds absolutely nothing of substance to the discussion. It just adds fuel to the fire for those who feel the need to troll and hate on V and it's fans. Are you encouraging this kind of bullsh*t? Because all I've seen you do is fling sh*t at everybody, mocking people, being a total hypocrite and making generalizations. I'm afraid that's even more moronic. How about that? I'm looking forward to what you have to say, how many more insults you've got in store, that's if you even reply.
