its been a couple of months since I played gta iv and yeah the vigilante missions were cool. I've been thinking though what if gta v had them. first off they wouldn't be called vigilante mission. why would a hardened criminal be a hero or a police man? heres the spin i'd put on it. it would be called police impersonation or some sh*t. its an actual crime and people do that a lot where i'm from. heres how it would work. before you are able to do them you would first have to aquire a uniform and a car or you could steal a car and buy a police siren from ammunition or something and put it in or on top of your vehicle.

not only would you be able to target criminals through the database but you could also pull over citizens on the road and rob them but it would some how seem like a regular police stop. there would also be a home invasion phase. you would be able to go to a persons house claim you have a warrant for them, assault them tie them up and then ransack their home and steal money or valuable possesions. it would be more or less an activity for trevor well what do you guys think?

This isn't a bad idea.

I like the thought of pulling people over and shoving a gun in their face for some quick bucks. Home invasion seems a little far fetched.

to answer king of cake (quote wont work for me) its not far fetched those things happen. stop worrying about realism and likelihood in situations. its a video game . its fictional media you can do what you want.

It'll add way more replay value.

If they implemented it like in IV that'd be great too

No, no, I like your idea. You misunderstood me. I was saying that them adding home invasion seems far fetched. Not because of realism or anything, it is just the lack of interiors already in the game and how reluctant R* seems to add any more.

Add a few more interiors too. I like the shooting in V and an activity with big shootouts, car chases and tailing the suspect would be really good. Maybe not as far as full LA noire style evidence finding and interviews. I vote yes for vigilante missions.

Add another criminal thing, drug dealing or meth making or gang wars, but keep the tennis and others and I think V's activities would be a lot better, varied. Keep IV's using the police computer rather than pressing the right stick to activate level one.

If they reused IV's system it would be great. They had those 4 bounty missions but they were just too small. Afet all, protagonists did work for the FBI,so maybe it could be like missions for Dave Norton to clean up the city,as a part of the Witsec deal.

For home invasions Rockstar could just reuse apartments from Online,it wouldn't be much effort.

Yep, yoga and 30 minute triathlons...

...and action-packed golf and hunting.

Well Yoga does fit a shooting/criminal game better than gangwars and gambling though.

sh*t, i mean hunting could be great. If there would be some animals which f*cking attack you atleast or some challange. And skining them instead of taking a damn picture.

I don't understand why they didn't implement it in V. The system IV had was actually a lot of fun and it could not have been that difficult to create in consideration of how much it added to the game.

Repeating myself here...

They didn't want people having fun for too long in single player. After finishing the story, they wanted people to get bored with story mode so they'll play online.

Then I would have had something fun to do on the side, instead of doing childish scavenger hunts for silly parts.

You know it's funny that michael works with the fib, yet they didn't make (force) him to do vigilante/fightcrime missions and also gang/drug wars that franklin should've be doing too since he is a gangbanger. But no....

There is already a simple vigilante mod at 'gta5-mods' site.

Back on topic.

So, your answer to "why would a hardened criminal be a hero or a police man?" is to have a cop uniform, a cop car, buy a police siren from ammunition?? ( :O ? )... aaannd that'd be all???

??

Why not stick with the same classic style and simply cut straight to the task with simple design till we have something that really improves the vigilante missions furthermore.

Also, V SP DLC isn't going to happen to even think about this right now. The whole interest has gone after reading the news about the SP DLC not in the works.

You can watch tv Or spend 3 hours under water looking for nuclear waste

In a crime game. You know what I'd sell my soul for? An HD GTA with crime building.

Nah nah nah Gta 6

If it was like the 3D Era games it would be repetitive, I'd like them to have cops chasing the criminal like they do when you freeroam, or have it like GTA IV where you goto a specfic location and have a shootout.
