straybullet
Hi there, One of my Daily Objectives was to participate in a Deathmatch. So I did a proper Deathmatch with more than 6 people and that didn't get me a tick then I tried a One-on-One Deathmatch and that still didn't get me a tick. I won both matches so does anybody know why I didn't get a tick? Lastly one of my other Daily Objectives was to participate in a Capture - Hold. What does this "Hold" mean? I've got 2 hours from now to do it before it resets? Any help peoples quickly lol
XxHonda
Death match has to be set to normal not team or anything else easier to start a death match up yorself one that has 2 players so only one player need s to join to start the death match that u would of played was not set to normal so does not count as daily objective straybullet
straybullet
OK so one of my new Daily Objectives is to fall for 325 feet and survive. How do you do that and where? Thanks. PS If to doing Daily Objectives for 7 days staright gives you 15,000 RP points how many levels does this raise you up? Dondara
Fall 325 is just parachute from 1000, free fall most of it. 15,000 RP will be a different % for different lvl players. for someone lvl 40, a bunch. For lvl 500, almost nothing schafter
DentureDynamite
This post might be helpful to you--it explains each of the more complex daily objectives: http://gtaforums.com/topic/783447-daily-objectives-tips-and-tricks/ Edited September 18, 2015 by DentureDynamite size_m
size_m
^this. capture - hold means that you have to join a capture of this type ("hold"). there are different types of captures (i.e raid, hold, etc.) which can be seen in the list of captures in the start menu>jobs>rockstar created>captures. for getting deathmatches or teamdeathmatches ticked you just have to join the starting lobby and wait until the "betting screen" where your character is shown and you can buy armor etc. then you can just leave and it will still count for your objectives. DentureDynamite
^^ What size_m said--plus, since there's no way to specify which specific type of Capture you want to play to complete the daily objective, you'll need to launch the specific type via "Job" menu--not the "on-call" system (which drops you into a random Capture). FrugalDangerMan
I remember reading about crew that was entirely about completing daily objectives. x_TestsubjecT_x
Parachuting dangerously!!! Was finally trying to complete 7 days of the objectives but it was recently snapped over Parachuting Dangerously. I jumped from low buildings, high buildings, high altitude and opened the chute very low, tried to jump from one building to another. Even tried to jump from a titan to another titan (which was an epic fail! Damn props! lol) I couldn't get this objective to complete. Any advise would be very welcome!! Thanks! DentureDynamite
+1 on what tails_prower_2040 said; I've had the most success (so far; knock on wood) with the letter "D". If it doesn't do it first time, just try it again. Take a chopper with you so you can get a new parachute just in case. You can also just do the "Dropping In" parachute job, and complete the objective--the nature of this particular job is that it fulfills virtually every parachute/falling objective currently out there. Thanks to one of the GTAF members here for finding and sharing that tip! Edited December 3, 2015 by DentureDynamite Tails Prower
Shootinalloveryourface
I thought the "Parachute Dangerously" objective had a note specifying "Open parachute below 200ft" Respect for the Titan jump tho

Ya I have seen that objective as well but I believe its a different objective. I typically open my chute below 200 feet anyway. I will post back when I see this objective pop up again! size_m
there are several different jump objectives with different distances to fall of. but back to my question, who would explain the exact location of this "dropping in" parachute jump?
DentureDynamite
^^ The physical location is near Vespucci beach above Ft. Zancudo (just spotted my mistake). The direct English to German translation (using Google translate) is "Fallenlassen In". Bigsky2 was the person who discovered how useful this simple parachute job was in completing virtually all parachute/falling-related Daily Objectives--you can read his original post on this. Seeing you're one of the people who commented on his original post, I suspect you missed it somehow. Related to this: Last night I had "Parachute dangerously" as one of my DOs, and although I completed this job successfully (with my character even doing a little spontaneous "I owned this job" dance at the end), it didn't satisfy the objective. IMO, "Parachute dangerously" is either just VERY flaky (much like the "Escape a X star wanted level" objective), or its completion criteria is set to "draconian". Perhaps even a mix of both... Captures most of the time are split into different kinds. Just check all capture jobs and you'll see which one you need to do. Just like basejumps. If it says survive a jump from a short distance, better get to the Vinewood sign and jump off the D. A higher distance a normal parachute jump will do it. I ve had my troubles with this in the beginning as well. Only troubles I have figured lately. Activities acted around. I could not host tennis for example without restarting the whole game. Happened to me yesterday. We tried like 3-5 times until access to it was given...

I will try that as soon as I get that objective again! It's also a good spot for the opening a parachute closest to the ground event. The secret is to fly and land a helecopter up there. Then after each attempt, climb in and out of it to get another chute. My record is 12.6ft. What can I say, I love the D.

Another couple of spots to try are off the roof of the Devon Weston hangar at airport. Close to spare helis as well if fails first go. Another spot is off the crane onto the boat at the docks where simeons garage is - the first one you come to at the boat you get the Casco in the Prison break setup. Take a heli for a chute (although there is a chute on the crane). Walk halfway over the crane arm so you are above the crates on the ship and jump. EDIT: Just corrected my mistake in saying that "Dropping In" is near Vespucci beach (argh...where is my brain?); it is, in fact, at/near Ft. Zancudo. My apologies! FWIW, I've never launched "Dropping In" by walking into a blue corona on the ground (I always launch it via the menu)--I can only hope/assume it HAS a corona to launch from, but knowing R*, that might not be the case? Theoretically, it should be outside/near Ft. Zancudo somewhere..? Again, my apology for sending you on a wild goose chase with the incorrect Vespucci beach mistake. I suspect the different names for GTA Online jobs in different languages are like the different names for characters (and jokes) in Asterix books: Chief "Vitalstatistix" in English, Chief "Majestix" in German. Meaningful to both languages, but they don't always directly translate well. Edited December 9, 2015 by DentureDynamite
Mr. Larson
They "translated" it with "Backup plan in the backpack". Because of translations like this, i will import any future GTA game as a multilanguage version. You can set this version to german if you want to, but you can't change the language in the german version. Just stupid. The average english skills of germans are pretty bad, because everything on TV gets dubbed. Awfully dubbed. Sometimes feels a bit like in the Truman Show. Don't let them ever learn english properly, they might find out that they are not the center of the world! Smaller european countries usually have everything on TV subbed, that's why they are way more familiar with the english language.
