Spawning vehicles in rockstar editor?

So I thought rockstar said you could spawn vehicles if I'm not mistaken? If so how do I go about that? (I'm on ps4)

In director mode while playing, hold the touchpad and in the quick menu you can choose spawn vehicle. You can spawn any vehicle in any of the protagonists garages, safehouse and 4 vehicle. Your online vehicles online I think, anything from the hangar, helipad and slip you've bought too. With everything in the hangar, helipad and slip, as well as 2 vehicles in the house garage and 4 in the other garage, you get quite a few to choose from, just a shame you can't pick every vehicle in the game.

Just a note through that if you have any Cars in Trevors garage that you won't be able to access them.

 

I tried myself in Director's mode with many different characters. and it would not open. Every other protags garage (Except the purchasable ones) works fine with no problems.

For those who can't find the "Spawn Vehicle" option, it's actually listed as "Garage" in the menu.

I would also like to point out that you can't access any vehicles saved in safehouses nor your online vehicles. The only vehicles you could access are the ones stored in your (4 car) garages in singleplayer as well as whatever you saved in your helipads, docks and hangers, again, only in singleplayer.
