Why do guys say weird things to women on the Internet?

I've seen several youtube comments where there is a girl in the video and the guys always act really weird or really f*cking creepy, from the comments ranging from raping the girl in the video or other sh*t.

 

I've seen this with female let's players and the like.

 

What are your thoughts on this?

Because this generation is not an ideal one to raise men. Men now grow up with no idea how to talk to women, with low confidence, more than ever.

 

The internet provides them the ability to cut and run when things turn sour and move on.

 

But in real life, they'd be very upset, or just to scared to try anyway.

 

Part of it is the times, part of it is the internet. Nowadays, they're the same thing.

Obviously you've never visited Mr.Nosec's youtube comments section.

 

I mean theres actually channels on Youtube where hate speech is minimal and/or gets buried by other comments (PressHeartToContinue and Boogie2988 come to my mind).

 

That being said, avoiding it at all costs is the right choice 99% of the time.

Also, because its the internet. You can talk about doing some really substandard stuff to people over the internet . But when push comes to shove, you're better off thinking more than twice IRL.

I can say there is 0 hate on my youtube channel....though no one watches what i upload though.

 

To keep it short, it is extremely easy to bait on youtube. Extremely easy, as in you'd think 90% of the people who reply to comments don't know what a troll is.

Security in the illusion of anonymity. Men who would otherwise say nothing to women have a barrier in place that lets them say the most disgusting, base nastiness that enters their minds, because they believe themselves to be anonymous.

 

It's rooted entirely in their insecurity and they reflect that away from themselves by treating these women with contempt, by degrading and humiliating them, because just for a moment it makes them feel some sort of dominance, power or control. Suddenly they feel that have worth because these women who would normally ignore them are forced to acknowledge the darkest thoughts in the man's mind.
