I know I'm new here - but I see a lot of people asking about what's going on. I'll give it a try - let me know if I miss something:

 

Last Night

- Discussion posts started appearing talking about new locations, new vehicles (some from San Andreas), new missions, etc. I've only seen text. Heard about some "video" but haven't seen that anywhere.

 

- GTA DLC wiki page was updated with some of this new information. Pasteboard links. Cryptic type information - nothing really substantial.

 

 

TODAY

- a lot of suspicious activity regarding deleting of topics, comments, links, posts, wiki page, etc.

 

Suspicious* because: how quickly things were deleted, how quickly moderators are removing posts, etc. "MrBoss's Birthday" is today. etc.

 

 

The origin of all this isn't really all that revealing. It's just text - anyone could have fabricated it. It's the perception of the response from moderators that is making people speculate that this information could be more accurate than usual.

Well, let's see if this speculation sticks.

 

1) T2 held an invite-only media event for the forthcoming SP DLC

2) Either officially or via other means, someone obtained the trailer for it.

3) People set to work dissecting it, to have good content ready to go when word drops. Part of this unfortunately included a public-facing - but not Google-indexed - wiki page with placeholder copy/thoughts

4) Someone either used an EoP attack (explaining the 1337 member group) or their own credentials to gain access to this content, and decided to go all Deep Throat. This someone is a big GTA fan (debug code).

5) Mods started stomping

 

This doesn't explain certain things, mainly like why this thread is still open.

 

PS "it's all bollocks" still works, except for the takedowns on Twitter and PB.

Only mods can change member groups, this is organised, not a hack.
