dont forget they could have been working on this DLC for quite a while now maybe a year or two because and also dont forget all their GTA V employees are focusing on online

There is no way that LC could be just free dlc for online. Its way too big thing to be just online dlc.

I believe its coming in future, but not that way.

I think there will be new game, that haves story and then the online gets also the map too, so you can travel between the maps via airports.

 

If I was a boss of R* Games:

Next GTA: Liberty City and after that GTA VI some other city. Maybe VC (not really my thing and I dont care really about vc, but i think vc fans need a game too).

I would like to see Philadelphia, detroit, baltimore.. etc..

Doubt that R* would make a new game with LC as the main setting of it, only way I see it is as DLC.Another reason would be that a lot of people want a new setting for the next GTA, be it VC,SF or LV.

I'd love for this whole Liberty City rumor to be true but I just don't see it. Fun has never intentionally steered us wrong nor do I think he's trying to but this seems like to much wishful thinking.

 

Then again I said the same thing about yachts about 2-3 months ago... Let's hope I'm wrong again.

We were all aware of Sean Fonteno and Ned Luke hinting at a story mode DLC. I also observed Steven Ogg spending a fairly long amount of time hanging around New York City and taking on small acting roles, before he recently went to start filming a movie.

Maybe R* should try to hire Vladimir Mashkov again, he turned them down before he knew what game he would be acting for, so they only based Niko's looks on him, only after release did he find out it was GTA IV.

So only his face was used to make Niko? Someone else here said he was the voice actor was well. If it's just his face Rockstar can bring Niko back with another voice actor that sounds exactly the same. There are people out there that can do it. If it was his face they used, then they probably can't without the actors permission which he probably wouldn't allow them to. I'm more interested to know what happened to CJ or Tommy Vercetti and even Claude during the time between the games until GTA V.

Michael Hollick was the voice actor for Niko and Vladimir Mashkov was the face. Seeing as Mashkov and Rockstar's relationship isn't the best, it would be hard for them to bring Niko back.

 

CJ, Claude.... are a myth in this universe (HD Era), they could have existed but are not the ones we knew.

I like to believe that they could have lived their life until they died.

 

Is there any other way?

I remember an episode of GTA V o'clock where it was mentioned that some employee in an interview had actually said that they would be releasing a singleplayer DLC eventually and it would be at least as big in terms of content as TBOGT.

Rockstar isn't messing with Single player. They said in a Newswire post previously that they were going to be focusing on Online. That makes perfect since for them to make content for GTAO as users purchase more shark cards there.

That's like Ford making a Mustang 5.0 with 600 hp and giving it away for free, but you have to pay the gas fee to Ford and then from that same dealership giving away another Mustang with a V6, but free gas.

People will gravitate towards to the free fun item, but have to pay for the extra gas fee. The fun factor is worth it to some people.

That's basically what R* is doing with Online and shark cards.

I agree with this man, they want to keep the player-base as big as they ca and a new SP DLC would totally help that. And another thing to the people that say R* are money whores, the wise thing for them to do would be to keep investing that made money towards new content, so eventually they'll even make more money. I believe this is what they're doing, investing what they've made into new content such as the regular updates, but again, also towards new SP DLC and GTA VI. Look at what they've done already!
