I feel like 2016 should be the last year for updates. I don't know what else they can do, short of more "eh" piece-meal updates to Online, a map expansion would be interesting depending on how they do it (which may or may not happen, it doesn't feel like something R* would do, they would just make a whole new game out of it) and the game will have been out for 3 years. Its time to let it go and move on, to look forwards to GTA VI. One final, huge last hurrah update would be ideal, with even more vehicles and new missions and new weapons, to put a bow on the whole experience.

I think that the LC would be paid, as that wouldn't split the playerbase as much.

You would just go to the airport, pay to go there, and then it takes you out of that lobby and you move to another lobby. Instead of a car in a new DLC, where you would have to split up everyone who buys it, there would be seperate LC cities.

 

If this is real, I'm hyped.

 

 

Oh yes, that's why GTA IV got TWO big story expansions just a year after its release.

 

Which both tanked financially. This changed Rockstar's approach to expansions in GTA.

 

 

Look at the timeline, GTA V has been rerelease for THREE consecutive years, constantly perpetuated by mediocre GTA Online updates. Like I said, the game long overstayed it's welcome. It's only natural we should expect a new Rockstar game sooner. Instead GTA V soaked up three consecutive years to itself without any story expansions. I agree with him, the game needs to die down. Rockstar is obsessive about it.

Lowriders 2 is most defiantly coming next though.

It's not really a "big" thing since it seemingly only adds a few more cars to Benny's though.

But yeah, agreed, that's the next update we're getting - after that, I don't know. Hopefully something completely new. Lowriders were cool the first time, but a second time... They just make me go "mehh" now.

I really, really, really want the Sultan RS from IV. I fLC comes or if they do a Tuner DLC, it needs to be put in. God, that'd be my favorite vehicle.

I doubt they'll do that since they already allow you to assemble your own.

Who's this asshole "Armax75" guy who thinks Rockstar should STOP supporting their game. The last thing we need is for game developers to continue the trend of shoveling out a half-assed game and moving on to the next game without bothering to fix the previous one.

 

Rockstar is one of the few developers left that releases an actual FINISHED product (Yes.. GTAV was 100% finished when it released, GTAOnline was not technically a part of it). And not only that, but Rockstar has given us nothing but free and GOOD content for several years now.

 

How could anyone want Rockstar to abandon this game? Someone ban this armax guy.. he probably supports Trump.

Did I say that I don't like the game? I just only said that R* should keep focusing on new games of other franchises. I would like to have new DLC for GTA V, but some new info on Agent or RD3 would be nice too.

If the game is still making money, they'll keep adding updates.

 

R* say they have 45 years worth of ideas for gta, there is plenty that they could do, in fact we've seen hints of plenty that they have already worked on (casino, nightclub, stunt races etc).

 

They have said their intention is to grow online rather than replace it, so even if gta6 comes out it is likely to expand online rather than replace it

People in the know (Funmw2) mentioned something about it. Apparently the guy that leaked the yacht and apartment DLC (Dragoon) said something about it. So instead of just being some wishlist fantesy BS, Its a likely future DLC.

Simply because the map is already built to some degree. It's the only other "HD era" GTA map available to work with so it's the most likely possible map to bring over.

 

 

I would love if they brought in a San Fierro or Las Venturas map instead, but that is less realistic considering they really would have to start completely from the ground up. It would make more financial sense to save that for GTA6 or something.

 

 

If they do give us a major map expansion, I can't imagine it would be free. They've been too nice to us for too long giving us so much content for free it seems wrong lol. Liberty City expansion will likely be $40

It is realistically more profitable in business perspective for a LC return than a completely ground up.

 

I mean no hate towards LC, but I'm getting a little bored of the concrete jungle area.

Maybe I'd be more hyped if it's other map. But hey, atleast we got an expansion if this one turns out to be true

Not really assumptions, I'm guessing fun and dragoon know a lot more than there telling, there just trying to watch there ass.

A paid map expansion would split the player base more than anything and R* has said that's not what they want to do, either way if it is paid there is no way i'm paying $60 for something i've already bought twice for $100. I think $15 - $20 is much more reasonable and likely.

Why do people think R* is giving so much for free? I don't get this mentality. They've sold the same game on 5 systems worldwide, not to mention the killing they've made on cash card sales. Most of us have bought the same game at least twice. Free updates is part of what's contributed to the longevity and maintaining popularity, even though most of the updates have been useless garbage. That said, I would've paid money for heists and executives. I would also pay for a LC DLC, but it's just good business sense to avoid splitting the player base. All of us contribute to the popularity and success of the game. If all of us who don't buy shark cards suddenly quit playing, the game would suffer in popularity, which would lead to less shark card sales. So every single one of us contributes. And we're basically "free" advertising for them. Why can't people see this?

VC i would assume that it is thought of or is being worked on because of the files found in iFruit, such as the VC License plate

If they were to do a map expansion, they would definitely avoid a player divide. What they would do instead, is charge you in-game to get to the new area and back.

 

The price could be anything. But the point is, they will just shift more shark cards still, no need to make paid DLC if they already have a steady income from shark cards.
