Knowing Rockstar, we'll probably get your stereotypical hipster ass gentrification apartments in Liberty City:

I would prefer the ones we have now in GTA LS other than that. NYC Manhattan apartments are small, so i hope if LC DLC comes out and allows you to buy apartments i hope they are small but that shouldn't bother anyone anyway if they want a big house just stay in LS

 

Wouldn't mind having something like this (That view) just imagine if that view was middle park

or they may allows us to buy houses in west dyke or something like Faustin's Mansion

To the people saying there are only small apartments in NYC yea there small if you aren't rich, in GTA we all are, there are penthouses also plenty of loft apartments in NYC. You should watch gossip girl there are a few apartments that are pretty huge that will give you some idea.

Everyone is talking about Liberty City coming back and I'm just sitting here hoping we get a Mercedes 600 Pullman at some point.

Then I can finally live out all of my dictator fantasies.

It's suffered a lot of flood damage hasn't it? Well at least that was what V's radio stations were reporting.

 

Maybe they will use that as an excuse to update the map?

This I like! They could just stretch the Glendale and include a few different upgrades and I'd be happy. Would also really like to see something with suicide doors, '66 Continental or maybe some '30s gangster sled.

 

Also agree with Scag and others wanting more elegant antique/historic styling with the properties. Even though I do enjoy the modern loft style as well. LC would be perfect for that since NYC is very old compared to LA/LS.

 

The people that constantly doubt every possibility of this game expanding in any way must not know how to read or do any research. R* has been vocal about intentions of expanding the map since long before the game even released. Now that they cut loose the anchor that was LG holding the game back the possibilities are endless. I think that is pretty clear with how incredible the past few updates have been.

Just because they say Liberty City was hit by a hurricane doesn't mean that every building was destroyed and there's no possibility of going back to LC. Hurricane Sandy hit New York and they recovered fast. Same goes for Liberty City.

 

I don't get why people think we can't have an expansion to LC just because R* wanted to parody Hurricane Sandy.

Rockstar said there was the possibility of adding additional locations to GTAO before it launched. Other than that, nothing I'm aware of.

I'd love that but I can't see them doing it. Think about how much work that'd take for them, and what would the pay-off really be? They'd have to make a lot of awfully expensive stuff to go with it to justify the cost. They'd have to sell so many shark cards to justify it.

You know its just struck me, RockStar said that every person that was making V is now focussing on Online.

 

If this is true then is it not plausable that a map addition could be in the works, because I really don't see how the last few updates; while how great they are, being the result of the full man power of every dev who worked on V.

 

Maybe a map expansion is in the works, maybe not. However, I think this theory at least fits that something big might be in the works for GTA Online in the future.

or they could include it in a SP DLC to please both fan bases. How many SP players like myself buy shark cards?? How many online players would buy a story DLC if it included a new map for online??? Everyone wins. Rockstar gets money. We get our long awaited SP DLC and online players get a long awaited map expansion.
