Kind of lame, if they just ad the same map of gta 4.

LibertyKings map is almost just like real New York.

I do not imagine LC as a free update. Maybe a real DLC with new solo stuff and online.

It's easier to update Liberty City and transfer it into GTA V.

GTA V is based of GTA IV since they use the same game engine.

They don't have to transfer the whole city, they can take a part of it and update it.

Anyway I assume it's coming with SP DLC.

Because from what I saw, they are going to re-create how the map is loaded with SP DLC.

Creating new versions of existing scripts.

With every update, you can see them taking stuff from previous games that use RAGE engine and update it to transfer it into GTA V.

Example: The Heist yacht (Max Payne 3), Most of the DLC vehicles are from GTA IV.

Also to ppl saying that it is coming in the next GTA it doesn't make sense as I doubt R* would use an old location for a new game, it can be only added as DLC for either GTAV or the next one.(and lets hope it does get added for GTAV as the wait for GTA6 is going to be a long one)

Only if the DLC contains new vehicles.Otherwise a LC DLC should be priced, as I mentioned some pages ago a LC map expansion is a different type of project compared to the updates we recieved so far.Its a masive project and something like that surely won't be free, afterall R* has to make a profit from putting effort into something so big.

 

And since the majority of the GTAV playerbase would buy it, it would do better than cash cards since a lot of people don't use cash cards(including myself).

You totally know if LC is added the Plane tickets are going to cost in game money probably more then any real Plane ticket. Not only that but you will need to get a place to live in LC. So man at least 5 mill just to enjoy LC i'm betting and of course none of your vehicles will come over so you will need to re buy your cars in LC I can see it now and since you cant bring weapons on a plane you will also need to re buy them.

Its not impossible. Its not even too big for new consoles and pc. About 30/40% bigger than V's map. Its possible to do now actyally.

That map is like real New York in miniature size. Just like IV but much more realistic.

I think a map expansion is very much doable. If you compare the graphics and map size of Just Cause 3 to GTA V's map...It's quite amazing. So, I see n reason as to how it would be impossible.

Bringing in Liberty City would be some next level brilliance and would be my ultimate Gta Online wet dream. Just thinking of using the assets from Gta V in Liberty City would be incredible.

On PC, you can use trainers to put Benny's wheels on any car in the game.

LC could be added to GTA Online only as a paid dlc EFLC style.

They would need to refresh and edit whole map, add features from GTA V, add whole new set of peds with dialogs, new radio stations and much much more.

All of that just cant be added as a free dlc.

 

Also that kind of dlc would be huge 20-30 GB at least.

When the new gta is ready, they will also add the new city to gta online probably.

Thats what R* games is planning. They did say that in some interview earlier.

New map is what cames with the new game of course if its that big. Not in free dlc.

Of course its possible that they add north yankton map(and whatever is there near) to online and to sp, as free dlc.

They just need to finish the map, so you can move around.

 

R* Games is way too quiet what they are doing. They should give even some small hint, so we fans dont get all crazy.

I bet there is something big coming, but I just dont know what it is... no any idea.....

Dragoon1010 was trolling us and we would never get anything that he leaked because it was all faked by modders.

There is also one thing about LC they'll need to do: during GTA V SP you can see on bleeter (if I remember correctly) that Alderney was flooded by a tsunami. So they will have to either add it as it was + 5 years to Online, or flooded to SP. (If they will ever add it. Maybe for a few missions in SP DLC same as North Yankton, who knows)

EDIT: Found on net: News reports about a hurricane flooding Liberty City and leaving many homeless can be heard on Weazel News, Radio Mirror Park, and Michael's TV during the Mr. Philips mission, referring to the recent Hurricane Sandy which impacted the New York City region, upon which Liberty City was based.
