Future DLC Discussion Thread

The next update will be Lowriders Part 2 thanks to Dragoon leaks.

We know the vehicles list and the weapons as well.

A new rifle and a new shotgun and 6 new lowriders.

Goddamn it. I had the faintest of hope it'd be a biker DLC. But of course not. Well I'm not falling for the Lowrider fever again. Huge waste of $$$.

So what I'm wondering. Are these cars worth owning in the long run? cause I can see myself selling the nightshade down the road but I think I'll keep the Mamba

My observations:

 

Schafter V12 SWB - A f*ck up. No badges but that isn't the bad part. This is:

Is this sh*t supposed to be funny? Cool it looks like a sportier Schafter. Cool you can change the color of the interior. But look at that rear axle! What in god's name, why is it so low? The owner said he didn't even touch the suspension. I heard the Schafter V12 is fast, good, and sounds better, good, but that rear is so damn stupid. They always find some way to f*ck up.

 

Schafter V12 LWB - No bloody pictures of it yet!

 

Cognoscenti SWB - Short with the Cabrio's sporty bits just like I said. The interior can be changed so that's good.

 

Cognoscenti LWB - IV Cognoscenti with customizable interior, so that's cool.

 

Baller LWB - Dumbass stretched Baller, looks stupid as hell. Don't buy it.

 

Baller SWB - Very nice! Customizable interior too! Nice exhaust note!

 

Verlierer - Nice, calipers can be changed and so can the seat piping!

 

Mamba - No stripe, no mods, sticker mesh. Looks and sounds good though.

 

Nightshade - Very cool with lots of mods.

NO STRIPE!?!?! what the hell, Rockstar?

 

but thanks for the heads up on the Baller. Looking to grab some luxury stuff cause that's just fun, and if it looks bad I won't be buying it. I'm buying everything else though.

We can have a 5th property as of this update and because a yacht doesn't count though it's a spawn location we can have technically 6 properties in GTA:O!

 

 

Also:

 

After purchasing the Galaxy Super Yacht players can modify and upgrade it at a cost from the Docktease website.

Players owning a Yacht will have the Captain added as a Contact. When called he can arrange for a boat, a heli or one of the players personal vehicles to be delivered on shore near the Yacht.

Interaction Menu options have been added for the Yacht under Yacht Services:

Sound Horn

Yacht Defenses

Yacht owner can turn this On or Off.

Defense Exclusions

Yacht owner can select who is allowed to pass through their Yachts Defenses.

Yacht Vehicle Access

Yacht owner can choose who can have access to their Yacht vehicles, similar to the Vehicle Access option.

Yacht Access

Yacht owner can set who has access. Players with access will respawn on the Yacht and will remain on the Yacht after it has been relocated.

Hot Tub Clothing

Yacht owner can choose what clothing is worn in their Hot Tub.

Neon Lights have been added tothe Vehicle Remote Functions in the Interaction Menu.

Luxurious interior activities are available for passengers in the SuperVolito and SuperVolito Carbon for GTA Online, activities include:

Drinking Champagne

Browsing the Internet

Maybe it's a 'map contraction' due to the snow being so dense it will end up reshaping the map?

I was only hyped for the stilts and they've delivered for me. The Yachts will be a fad if you ask me, just a floating overpriced house without the 10 car garage. New cars are OK, nothing special. New weapons are good fun and cheap. New customisable apartments suck, location wise and price wise. VIP/Bodyguard system will be fun for free roam.

 

Thanful that R* are constantly adding new content though, and not just cars/clothes, but also games modes. Festive Surprise, Lowriders 2 and more around the corner, not spunking $8mil on a pointless boat.

The DLC is nice, and quite cheaper than I expected. I was at least expecting a yacht to be 20mil, nope.

I just hate how it's a online only sorta deal. Hell SP didn't even get the damn revolver!

thanks! i think i'll go with Penthouse Suite 2 since i'v always preferred Apartment 40 over any other apartments for its citywide view and this one's similar as hell. however i'm not feeling the houses yet and R* totally disappointed me with garages.. having your typical 10 car garage used for a Vinewood house is just too unrealistic and dumb (and lazy on R*'s side too since it wouldn't hurt if they only toke the regular 6 car garage and gave it a modern sleek design to match the house.)

NP. I think my first hour after getting home will be watching videos but yeah from the looks of it the customization is "less than we expected". Still cool tho', I always love new locations.

An honest opinion, just by observation:

 

- The yacht looks disappointing. Apparently it doesn't move, it can only be spawned at 12 different locations, the interior is static, it's a somewhat basic interior and the interior can't be customized. You can paint it and change the name, there's vehicles. That's it? It's kind of just a status symbol. More interior space is always good but man, it just kind of sucks. I don't think I'll be buying it. I so wanted to slowly circle around the map while partying with friends - that or just dock at Vespucci and enjoy the view - but that can't happen. What's the fun in a yacht that can't move? Typical Rockstar, so much potential just thrown away.

 

- The houses all look unique on the outside but they're all kind of repetitive on the inside. Same old modernist architecture. Static. Doesn't even fit the homes. The garages are the same as luxury apartments and can't be customized. Just a slap job, another copy-and-paste job. The apartments are cool but the houses, meh...

 

- The Schafter V12's are just short of awesome. They look good and sound good and they're lightning fast. They even have interiors that can be changed. So what's the catch? It's broken. The rear suspension is so low while the rest of the car is normal. So it looks awkward, very awkward. I just can't get into it. It just looks wrong. No badges too so it looks kind of naked. *Sigh*

 

- The Mamba's lines are very seductive but that's it. The interior is another muscle car copy-and-paste job, there is no stripe, no real mods, all of the vents and mesh look like pixelated stickers and it's a restomod. Who in their right mind would want a restomod 427 Cobra instead of a real 427 Cobra? What in the world? Are we ever gonna get a real American classic in a DLC that is completely original?

 

- The Nightshade is fine. Mods, interior, all of that. Perfect.

 

- I do love the Verlierer but they got rid of that tan interior for a black one with no options to change it. Everything else it great though. The calipers can be changed via secondary colors and with them you get colored seat piping too! Very cool.

 

- The Cognoscentis are on point and even have customizable interiors. Perfect.

 

- The Baller LE SWB is the one to get while the LWB just looks dumb. Aggressive styling, custom interiors. But apparently the performance is unchanged. Why?

 

- The armored cars are weak. They all have ugly panels and exaggerated window protection. Can Rockstar get it through their thick skull that expensive armored cars look exactly like regular cars?

 

Of course this is all free so I can't complain. But if it weren't I wouldn't of bought it. Maybe if they sold the Cognoscenti seperately but that's it.
