I'm looking forward to 3 of the cars(nightshade, Mamba(assuming that's what it'll be called) and other sports looking one & maybe one of the houses if I can afford it.

Wonder how organisations will work - separate from crews, I'd imagine (although obviously a crew boss could set themselves up as organisation head honcho, and then structure the organisation based on crew hierarchy - which'd be a neat way of making a crew feel like a more meaningful in-game entity).

Likewise, I'm guessing you can be a bodyguard or underling for someone else's organisation, while running one of your own - same way that you can create your own crew and be boss, while being the muscle in crew created by someone else. Or perhaps not - maybe R* wants players to choose between running an organisation (and having the responsibilities/perks of that role), or being a hired goon for someone else - ? It's all fair game at this point - no-one really saw this aspect of the update coming, and it's probably the biggest change to the way the game plays since Daily Objectives, or even the 'Heist crew' mechanics (only bigger and far more wide-reaching). Going to be really interesting to see what's involved when it comes on Tuesday...

One thing i feel sure of is,that we might have to unlock some of the content via the new game modes.armored versions of the cars come to mind.

Well if its considered as a property then probaby as much as there are property slots(4 atm).Unless there is some sort of limitation to it.

 

Also techically speaking all 3 yachts are the same one but with different exterior mods.

I've looked at all three known mansions in game. Fun is claiming there are more than ten new properties? Is there a list of addresses? I'll find them and post pictures if someone can get me a list.

I highly doubt they will add ultra high end mansions.

 

They may do it at some point, but I'd say they would wait till the very end for that until they have drained everybody of their gta$ so they can sell cash cards or just sell the houses for irl money as a separate, paid DLC.

 

 

All they're doing until now is giving you incentive to buy in-game credit.

 

That's Cash Card business type. They're selling limited in-game content a.k.a in-game money. Plus, to those who can count simple math, the conversion rate between real-life-$ and in-game-$ is horrible. It is proven they net more money than selling "one-time-purchases-contents" a.k.a paid-DLC.

 

Sadly, people like to deny and believe Rockstar is santa claus instead.

If it's like last year, more like 'free Xmas gear available to wear from mid-December, snow on the 24th/25 and again on the 31st/1st'.

 

Wonder if R* will just flip the switch on the Xmas clothes AND the E&OC update simultaneously, or wait until the following week to turn on all that stuff...

IIRC, I think you have to be a VIP/head of an organisation, but don't quote me on that (!). Which, in turn, I'd guess would require both/either a hefty amount of money to set up, and/or a minimum rank requirement.

They may be prerequisites in order to become one, not thr other way around.

It's not like you have to like absolutely everything they add to the game. And it's not like he said "I HATE LOWRIDERS THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER ADDED IT BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE THEM!!!!11ONEONE" either. I don't like lowriders either, but a lot of people do so the update was a good addition - I would _personally_ prefer other stuff though. This forum sometimes, I swear.

The equation dealing with a ships potential speed is largely effected by the keel length...the wavelengths play less and less of an important roll as keel length increases. The longer a boat is, the faster it can go.

 

I was on board an aircraft carrier and we would literally leave the rest of the fleet in our wake. The carrier is so much faster than the smaller ships like frigates and destroyers.

 

Eta- a Nimitz class carrier has a classified top speed but I'd guess it's close to 55 knots. I know we went over 40.

Wiki says they go at 30+ knots.I don't really know, but considering you've been on one, I guess I'll take your word for it.

I woke up one day with a bloody forehead from being tossed about in my rack, cruising through a tropical storm down by cuba. There were sailors puking in droves. The skipper comes over the loudspeaker and giggled with delight about the rough ride. He said, "we were traveling well in excess of forty knots." The carrier is incredibly fast and usually a super smooth ride. It can be obnoxious when running nonstop sorties and the jets are taking off and landing once a minute. It quite literally sounds like being in a dumpster that is repeatedly struck with a sledgehammer. Good times.

 

Eta- after all, a Nimitz class has four nuclear reactors to turn the screws.
