I'm guessing we get an announcement of an announcement tomorrow, then the real announcement on December 24th at eleven-thirty PM sharp. Then Low2 will come out at 11:35, and the Festive Surprise at 11:37, and it will include a new map expansion: THE MOON. Then on Jan 4th we get an announcement of jetpack mansion casino DLC, followed by the release of the Jetpack Mansion Casino Update on Jan 10th at high noon, but you have to win a gunfight against a real-life cowboy to get the download code. If you survive and enter the code properly (very important), the update will arrive - strangely without jetpacks, mansions, or the casino; but they will add flying yachts, a double-barreled boomerang, and the Panto 4.

 

After that it's announcement, update, announcement, update every other day for three months. On April 1st, they'll shut the Online servers down, dox your parents, and send a goon to your house to spit in your coffee once per fortnight for the rest of your life.

I'm actually older, Stanford educated and much wiser. I'm not the little kids up here that believe everything the YouTubers say.

I'm not setting myself up for disappointment. I don't believe the leaked content is real. Sorry, but I am entitled to an opinion.

The stupid little adversary modes and things like "Running Back" are simply Rockstar pissing in the wind. It's, at best, an appetizer but we need some more of the main course. It'll be a DISASTER if they wait until the spring to do more real DLC; it would literally destroy the online game entirely.

A lil dramatic, no?

 

 

Considering that basically 90% of my mission buddies have quit in the last 5-6 weeks, an additional 2-3 month wait might be the straw that breaks the camels back. If that was the case, my playing time would go back down to a couple of hours per week for a long while, and then if I found something else in the meantime, I simply wouldn't go back.

If someone is actually disappointed that something doesn't come to a video game, they should reevaluate their life.

 

I would say if something I was excited about didn't materialize in game, I would be indifferent at the most.

 

Idk I dont even see how it is possible to "set yourself up for disappointment". Is everyone so damn weak minded? I'd like to believe it is not so.

I would like if all this stuff comes, I would love it. But if it doesn't come, I wont be disappointed. I'm just saying I don't see any reason to get upset about it.

The only time I got my hopes up was back in February of this year. I honestly thought the Valentines Day Massacre stuff was coming back. I didn't feel disappointed so much as annoyed.

 

Nowadays I refuse to consider anything other than official announcements.

Getting yourself hyped up and actually expecting something that hasn't really been confirmed is one thing. But having a few plausible hopes and finding out they didn't make it is understandable. I'm sorry, we're only human. I'm not going to be all pretentious about it. If some sh*t don't make it, I'm gonna be a little bit t'd off. I'm not going to act as if the world is ending but sh*t, I'll be damned if you don't read at least comment from me about it.

Only way I can think of to set yourself up for disappointment is having wild expectations, or believing every YouTuber who makes a wish list and makes it seem like what he wants is conveniently coming. I'm with Mach on this one; if it comes, coolidge. If not, what basis do we have to be pissed off if it wasn't even promised by Rockstar?

It would be nice if they did because I'm still playing the hell out of GTA Online, but really, this is a game that's now more than 2 years old. Even current gen alone is over a year. Every update we get is a gift horse to me; don't want to look it in the mouth when many games aren't even releasing gameplay patches after being out this long.

IGG1 was announced on a Monday and released the following Wednesday (9 day gap). IGG2 was announced on a Tuesday and released the next Wednesday (8 day gap). So yes, they did change the pattern - albeit not by a lot. But notably, neither of those released on a Tuesday and neither was announced on a Thursday. It's just a guessing game trying to figure out when they'll do what. The answer is, "when they're ready."

Rockstar could be aware of this and focus some energy on tending to that issue.

The release of the new mode type seems ill-timed if they're going to release another full on update in under 2 weeks, to be quite frank. I'll wait and see, but I really hope it drops before Xmas. 102.5m and nothing to do with it, lol, but add more.

There's plenty to complain about these

Everyone already knows you hate Japanese cars and love the American ones. No need to tell that in every single thread.

 

Nightshade looks a bit half-assed, when it comes to details, and the shape is a little awkward. But that's just my opinion.
