Future DLC Discussion Thread

I have the feeling we won't see any new DLC this year...

Nonsense. There's still two and a half weeks left until 2016. I'm 99% sure we will get at least the Xmas update, either on the 18th like last year or the 22nd a Tuesday. Lowriders 2 is still a possibility to release this month. I'm still hoping Lowriders 2 and Xmas update will release this month. Come this Thursday, if we don't get an announcement about Lowriders 2, then we'll certainly get it next year.

It's been about 5 weeks since the Halloween Surprise. About 7 since Lowriders. I'm as eager as the next guy, but let's not act like we haven't been flooded with DLC ever since IGG1 came out.

Maybe it's a DLC, maybe it's a PC-only patch for bug fix etc.

 

Who knows, we can only wait now. Christmas is close and winter is coming.

I'm betting on us getting an announcement for a Christmas themed update sometime next week. Also, I hope the next update fixes this problem of certain cars not being able to be modified at LSC.

They've been all over the place as far as the day of the week they release, the day of the week they announce (if at all), the lead time between announcing and releasing, and so on.

Yeah, it's just kind of making me crazy. I don't have a problem with predictions, but at least the people making them should acknowledge that 1) they're just guessing, and 2) 99.5% of the predictions made on this board end up being WILDLY wrong. I bet if you could do a search of posts here for anybody predicting specific release and announce dates for updates, as well as what content would be in them, the results would be absolutely laughable. In this thread alone I bet there are a hundred wrong predictions or more.

It's like talking to a wall sometimes. You want to see a pattern based on one prior release? One is not the basis for a pattern. And if you look at any other prior releases, comparing to Low1, there's no pattern at all; they're all random. And if you look at IGG1 and IGG2 (which you brought up, remember - not me), there wasn't a pattern there, either, except that both came out on a Wednesday and were announced on some day the week before that.

 

There is no pattern. Take down that "I WANT TO BELIEVE" poster. Rockstar will do something sometime, that's about all we can predict with accuracy.

The stupid little adversary modes and things like "Running Back" are simply Rockstar pissing in the wind. It's, at best, an appetizer but we need some more of the main course. It'll be a DISASTER if they wait until the spring to do more real DLC; it would literally destroy the online game entirely.

Well the wait shouldn't be that long as I doubt they would skip the Festive Surprise update and if the leak is truethen I'm more than happy with the Tampa, the sawn-off and smg assault rifle(if those are for it, can't remember now)

No. The Assault Rifle SMG and double barrel shotgun were found in the Lowriders file. The Tampa was the only thing Dragoon found in the Xmas file.

No. The Assault Rifle SMG and double barrel shotgun were found in the Lowriders file. The Tampa was the only thing Dragoon found in the Xmas file.

 

Gotcha, well the Tampa is more than enough for me anyway but surely we can expect more than just 1 car for the update.
