Detroit.

I live there, between the crime, drugs and car culture, it would be a PERFECT setting.

Id prefer the FBI or whatever those dudes were in Vice City, in San Andreas the military CA e after you in tanks and stuff but they didn't shoot you with 'em (AFAIK) which is probably why some of you want the military after you but seem to forget that tanks shoot at you in V.

Maybe limit that to one or two tanks at a time but if you're on anything other than a rooftop you'd be pretty much f*cked? Or maybe that's the appeal, like in Scarface when the game straight-up told you you're f*cked.

I don't mind customising my apartment. The whole point of GTAO was to improve the online experience with new ideas so I doubt that this would be considered useless.

If you think that criminals still live in crappy dungholes like GTAIV then you might as well go back to GTAIV

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Remember, this is criminal activity that revolves around heists and not about Niko's life story.

I'll never understand why people are against additional features that don't affect them. I don't care for boats much but if a new speedboat with multiple variants was added, would I care? No. It's when they release hastily slapped together crap or keep adding the same type of stuff over and over that I care. Apartment customization is unique, a change from just getting flashy cars and garages. They're coming. They already announced that they're coming.

The apartment customization is useless sh*t that wouldnt bring anything new to the game,on the contrary it would ruin the concept of the game itself ( crime and murder). This is GTA, if you want apartment customization go play sims.Dont know you, but i dont like my PS4's hard disk storage getting wasted by unwanted stuff

its not useless just because you don't want it.

He won't be able to comprehend that logic.Fortunately, the majority of the GTA's players think like me, and for majority i mean related to all of the players who play this game, not those who are on this forum only.

So the clueless dorks who bought the game mindlessly because it said GTA on it and they knew it was new? I don't care about the "majority" and anyone who uses that logic is shallow.

I'm assuming that anyone who insists 'GTA is just about crime and murder!' are teenage squeakers trying to sound 'edgy', correct?

As in, if you were old enough to play San Andreas a decade ago, you'd remember spending many a happy hour ...eating food in restaurants, or going to the gym (to work off all that fast food), or taking people on dates, or customising cars, etc. Or even GTA IV, where you could sit in a virtual comedy club and watch actual comedians do stand-up routines.

But no - being able to change the wallpaper of your luxury apartment is a step too far for GTA, apparently...

I'm convinced that the main reason why GTAV had plot elements like Franklin doing repo jobs for Simeon's car dealership, or how Devin Weston just randomly needs you to steal a bunch of expensive cars for him, was to fulfill the literal definition of 'Grand Theft Auto' - beyond that, the games have long been evolving into a more general 'ridiculously interactive go-nuts-in-this-virtual-city' series, with 'generic criminality' as a catch-all excuse for causing all that mayhem

Not to mention:

- Driving a taxi as far back as GTA 3. What is this, Crazy Taxi???

- Bowling in GTA 4. What is this, Ten Pin Alley???

- Dating in San Andreas and GTA 4. What is this, a Japanese dating sim???

GTA is a game that contains multitudes. You're not supposed to like everything, and not everything in it relates directly to the core theme of being a criminal. It's intentionally designed to be diverse and appeal to lots of different players for lots of different reasons. And on the way to doing that, they dabble in a lot of features that are similar to lite versions of other games. That's just how it is, and how it always has been. If you don't like that, dare I say that YOU are the one playing the wrong game, not the rest of us.

well a apartment customization dlc would actually bring something new to the game... apartment customization.

people keep using the sims as an insult but the true is that since San Andreas the gta have been drifting away from it "crime and murder" roots, into a more varied game. R* is simply trying to make gta the jack of all trades, a game where you can create a character, buy apartments, customize cars, dress up your character, go to a barber, etc etc etc

in fact when i stumble upon people that live under a rock and dont know what gta is, i describe the game as a more violent and graphic version of the sims.

only 2 things keep gta from being the bastard son of the sims...

1-the ability to build our own home.

2-simlish.

and even in IV niko have the option to move into a nicer in Middle Park.

I wouldn't mind apartment customization. At least it would be new, and finally give us something to do with our crappy apartments. I wouldn't be thrilled but I would partake. Now, if it came with upscale houses, or dare I say even mansions, yeah, then I'd be thrilled!

I really don't see the point in apartment customization it will probably cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and there is nothing to do in there besides get a stripper and that gets boring after a while. Even if new mini games like pool is added people would get bored of that before too long and wouldn't play it like golf, tennis and arm wrestling that is already in the game that no one plays. I'm against this apartment customization crap I would rather R* use the time they are wasting on this to make more contact missions that can be done solo and have a far better payout.

And what would you do with all that money you earn from the missions? Whether you like it or not, apartment customization update will be coming next year. Maybe it will contain a few cars you may like.

I have three questions:

1.¿If the apartment customization dlc comes out, will the yachts appear on the creator (either as static props or as placeable accesories)?

2.¿Are there more NPC options in the next-gen capture creator?

3.I've been reading about the director mode in the gta wiki, and it says that there are army mechanics in the enhanced versions of the game. ¿Has anybody seen them in Free Roam?

Pegasus is f*cking garbage lol.

It's just an idiotic rental service with absolutely zero personal customization options and thousand of restrictions.

IDK the direction or vision of R* about GTAonline, but it's drifted away form 'crime and murder' and became more of an MMORPG

Now don't flame me, I'm not bitching, just stating the obvious.

Absolutely. I've always said Pegasucks is the worst thing about gta. We need hangars with at least the ability to choose colors. Should've been that way from the beginning. Freakin stupid.

This. Also add some more cars to Benny's that takes up a lot of money and add more customization for the older cars like the Adder or Stallion. Instead of customizing useless apartments let us customize useful Pegasus vehicles. Another thing I could spend money on is stock cars and Duke o death from single player.

Well it still is "crime and murder" but more like a MMORPG as you said it since it technicaly never went away from that.

Gta online was ment to be an mmo but isn't a true one. It has the elements such as grinding but is only limited to 16-30 players. As opposed of having hundreds. Here's an old quote when gta online first came out.

Rockstar on GTA MMO

http://www.nowgamer.com/news/2050956/gta_5_rockstar_on_gta_mmo_700_missions_graphical_differences.html

"But this is only the beginning for GTA Online. Though it ties into GTA 5 as a multiplayer component, it is separate and The Benz reveals that the ultimate goal is a GTA MMO.

The Benz claimed Rockstar has plans to turn GTA Online into a persistent online world with 'million of people to coexist'. A GTA MMO, says The Benz, is 'where we expect to arrive'.

Rockstar's plan is to keep GTA Online on 'the path to a great MMO'."

So every one is saying there's Lowrider 2 coming according to the car list and coding. But R* didn't say this is part 1 expect part 2 sometime in the future, just like IGG.

They haven't said it but we still know it's coming:

1. Fun's original leak of Lowriders (prior to the actual Low update coming out) was about twice as long as the amount of cars we actually got.

2. In one of the new cut scenes, Benny says something like, "This is just the beginning." Blatant hint, and you can be sure Rockstar wouldn't add a new garage like that and leave it at just six cars.

3. Dragoon leaked a couple pics of new liveries for cars that were on Fun's list, but not in Low1. Either he's a top-notch hoaxer, or we saw a glimpse of the near future there.

4. Rockstar mentioned the Tornado in that Newswire post as mentioned above. Tornado isn't in Low1 but was on Fun's list. Do the math.

Not sure which sarcastic reply to deploy here, so you get both: Yeah, no criminal has ever decorated their apartment! They all sleep on the floor, keep the walls bare, and eat nothing but takeout. And the other: Good thing the game is already pre-ruined by letting us change our clothes, mod our cars, cut our hair, apply face paints, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

Besides, if you do want to have your character sleep on the floor and keep the walls bare . .. now you might be able to with an apartment customization DLC! :-)

Seriously pt.1: How much of the stuff we get is to show off the personal accomplishment/decorate our pixels as we like anyway? Is every single thing just for the basic fighting? If so, are *all* your cars still the base custom that you got it? Do you still wear your default clothing unless you're in heavy heist gear? Sure for some people it is, but not for 99% of people it seems. They decorate their pixels and show their accomplishments how they like.

Seriously pt.2:

Player 1: All the apartments look the same! That's stupid/boring/unrealistic/lazy/bad!

R*: Now you can customize your apartment . . .

Player 2: You're ruining the game!!!!one!!

Pentalarc: Sigh

You can't please all of the people all of the time.
