Lowriders were released on October 20th, not 15 days ago. It would more than 15 days to model new cars anyway. The hints we've seen of a second set of lowriders are almost as old as the original update, meaning R* have been working in them for some time.

 

I very much doubt you'll see 2 updates in a week. Well get a Christmas update and that's it.

 

Will not be surprised if they leave lowriders 2 until next year to space it out a bit, maybe even after a couple of other updates..

That is true, but they specifically called the Tornado a Lowrider on the Newswire, then the comments on the article blew up, and they band aided the article by deleteing it.

 

 

 

This tells me they decided to split it up at the last minute. That is confirmation for me.

The way R* designed this car bugs me, just like with the Ganultet.

 

They body is clearly based on a good looking car, but the lights is just a bad after-thought.

Looks like a Bugatti Type 57 and a Nissan 370Z had a baby, and then that baby had a baby with a Weismann, and then got a little freaky with a TVR.

 

After looking at it for a while, the front overhang vs the rear makes it look quite unbalanced imo.

I'll never understand why people are against additional features that don't affect them. I don't care for boats much but if a new speedboat with multiple variants was added, would I care? No. It's when they release hastily slapped together crap or keep adding the same type of stuff over and over that I care. Apartment customization is unique, a change from just getting flashy cars and garages. They're coming. They already announced that they're coming.

I'll never understand why people are against additional features that don't affect them. I don't care for boats much but if a new speedboat with multiple variants was added, would I care? No. It's when they release hastily slapped together crap or keep adding the same type of stuff over and over that I care. Apartment customization is unique, a change from just getting flashy cars and garages. They're coming. They already announced that they're coming.

They haven't said it but we still know it's coming:

1. Fun's original leak of Lowriders (prior to the actual Low update coming out) was about twice as long as the amount of cars we actually got.

2. In one of the new cut scenes, Benny says something like, "This is just the beginning." Blatant hint, and you can be sure Rockstar wouldn't add a new garage like that and leave it at just six cars.

3. Dragoon leaked a couple pics of new liveries for cars that were on Fun's list, but not in Low1. Either he's a top-notch hoaxer, or we saw a glimpse of the near future there.

4. Rockstar mentioned the Tornado in that Newswire post as mentioned above. Tornado isn't in Low1 but was on Fun's list. Do the math.

Not sure which sarcastic reply to deploy here, so you get both: Yeah, no criminal has ever decorated their apartment! They all sleep on the floor, keep the walls bare, and eat nothing but takeout. And the other: Good thing the game is already pre-ruined by letting us change our clothes, mod our cars, cut our hair, apply face paints, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

But seriously though, I'm all for variety in apartments and stuff to make them your own, but what exactly are you all expecting from Rockstar to add?

 

I am expecting stuff like different wallpapers, floor tiles, sofas (texture), ability to replace the paintings with your snapmatic photos, different bed sheets, more appliances, different showers (hot tubs?), light bulb color changing, rugs, animated blinds to block sunlight and let the indoor lighting shine your room... Okay okay I'm kinda going overboard here...

i don't give much of a damn about couches and wotnot. however, if an Apt update means there is even a slight chance i might get an Adam Jensen gun cupboard and helipad on the roof then bring it on. i'm sick of carrying every weapon all the time and who doesn't want a helipad on the roof?

I like how there's always people that b*tch about (possible) new stuff like, in this case, apartment customizing and that it's GTA and not some other game, but at the same time they don't whine about tanks, jets and attack helicopters being in the game. Because, military stuff belongs to military games right? This is a crime game, not a military game.

And racing activities obviously wouldn't suit a crime game either, that's only for racing games.

 

Honestly, I don't really care about apartment customization, but I wouldn't mind it if it'd be added to the game. New cars are always nice though.

Thank you for a well thought out post. I'm hoping for a wide range of customization, not just five different pre-fab layouts for purchase (which'll end up happening if you ask me).

 

I'm just looking forward to any and all updates.

Apartment customisation could be good if done right. What I'd like to see is some interactive furniture - eg. Pool Table, Poker Table, Beer Pong, QUB3D etc. (maybe 20+ different things?) ..you could put, say, 3 or 4 of those in your apartment - then if you wanted to play something you don't have, you'd either have to replace something in one of your 'slots' - or go to someone else's apartment and play with them..

..might be another reason to visit someone's crib

 

..on the other hand, if the customisation options are purely cosmetic - it'd be pretty pointless. The novelty would wear off pretty quickly..

I barely spend time in my apartment either, but for that very reason I wish R* would add more features into them so that they actually would be worth visiting.

Exactly, if we can make our homes truly unique/interactive, it would just add another layer to the whole "ever-expanding" world GTAO could/should be.
