Rockstar. They don't tease enough.

 

I wished they talk about anything...new project, new update, new games something other than the Red Hook Crit and how to's on playing freeroam events.

 

I want to know about this game...or any other games (RD?) you have in the works.

 

Well, Heists changed R* a lot, after the backlash they got after announcing Heists 2 times and not releasing them, I believe they just keep everything shut until they are realy sure the things are ready to go into the game.

 

Similar to how the first Trailer had some things which weren't in the game and people complained a lot, but thats just how game DEVELOPMENT works, some things get cut or lost during development and therefor showing early footage can have disadvantages, seems like R* doesn't want to carry those anymore.

 

However they probably allready teased the next Update somewhere in their Newswire posts without us noticing, as they did with the ILL-Gotten-Gains Updates.

Yeah. They said they're working on more cars and clothes and "options for apartment customization". That's about it.

I just wish people would stop yammering on and on and bitching about mansions and Heists. The people whining about mansions would be the same people whining that they can't afford them if they were even added. And more Heists... One, they would only be next gen anyways, so last gen people moaning about it wouldn't get 'em anywho. Two, they were a big undertaking... They took two freakin' years! You think they can just bang one out every week? Why wait for something unrealistic, and something that probably won't even come anyways when new cars, guns and clothes along with apartment customization are way more probable? And back to mansions and Heists for a quick sec... People whine as if Rockstar said they would add them. They never said anything about mansions and never even breathed a word about adding more Heists because they are working on other stuff. And it's mostly kids whining. Kids who think they are owed something and just because they say they want it means they'll automatically get it. I know we all want more stuff but Jesus... Calm your ta-tas, breathe, and relax. We're all waiting to see what comes next.

Be happy people still care about the game, because it sure seems an awful lot have just given up. Moreover, Rockstar hasn't released what many people would consider a normal update since early July, 3+ months. I think most people realize the game needs more to do, and we're not talking about free-roam events. That was an appetizer, at best. We're all hungry for the main course...

Yeah, it does feel a little bit ridiculous. My hunch, purely a gut hunch, is that the next release will be pretty significant. We're heading into the holiday/buying season and they need to keep the game relevant. It's 2+ yrs old and LG and 1 yr old on CG. They'll need to do something big to get publicity from it and maybe run a promotional tie-in too.

Anyway, since its still october and Halloween hasn't passed there is still more time for a halloween dlc. The closest thing we may get to it is just a lousy event weekend with double rp and money but hey, rp and money is rp and money. I'd be happy.

Unfortunately most of the modders have little to no Skill, at least script wise, all what car modders usualy do is copy from other games and port it to V, of course there are some good modders, but most of them have allready quit modding V.

The only skillfull modders that are still working on mods for V are LSPDFR, thats pretty much it.

It's clear you don't know what you're talking about. Before you keep rambling on, please check the vehicle subforum of the modding section and click on _CP_'s IV vehicles thread. He'll tell you exactly how he modded them and no. It wasn't just copying and pasting. Stop assuming stuff.

What would be cool is Beach Bum Redux because they left quite a bit out the first time. No VW Type 181, no VW Beetle, a Canis based on like the Jeep CJ-5 would have been cool, and a Mothership wrap for the Surfer would have been cool.

Halloween MAYBE, but I wouldnt expect too much of it honestly, R* didn't release a Halloween Update last year eventhough many people requested it.

 

I think they are going to either take their time for a big Update, OR release some vehicles with Halloween Update and go for a big Update a months afterwards.

Without the constraint of 360's caoacity, I hope they implement the ability to "travel" to Yankton (fleshed out) or an updated Liberty City. Heck I'll take the downgraded Last Gen Liberty City. Variety, I don't need a new fake car I'd like to be able to visit other locales...especially with their clearly no longer going to be any Story DLC.

Lastly, Heists didn't take two years. They took 4-6 months, Heists were built and rebuilt several times. The workflow and mission sequencing is now ready to be plugged in (with story and actors only needing to be developed and hired).

Cue "I already played GAT IV".

That's solely my hunch but it would make sense. Do a big digital sale then a huge update right after... that should get them some publicity, eh?

These same kids are the ones that are watching YouTube videos that spread all these rumors about what Rockstar will be coming out with. I thought the one about the Lowlife DLC was funny and that particular YouTuber, that does by MrBossFTW even said his friend was able to decode some hex values on PC and determine that there will be 12 new vehicles added. That same YouTube would later contradict himself in another video by saying "GTA Online can only support another 25 cars," meaning with what has been previously added, it would be impossible to add 12 additional vehicles to the game. They should just stop it!
