Future DLC Discussion Thread

I don't think we will be getting EVERYTHING discovered in the files all at once, there may be for different DLCs planned for different times

 

one thing is for sure DLC in gta online is not dead!

I don't think Ford had a lot to do with the Cobra other supplying the power plant to Shelby though... Like it was never marketed as a Ford, it was AC/Shelby Cobra. AC was a British auto manufacturer, mostly using BMW motors? So I'm not really sure that it matters how they brand it. Also, I'll have to do some reading but I believe it almost ended up with a Chrysler or Chevy before Ford stepped in. I think Chevy turned Shelby down because they didn't want competition for the Vette.

Well the reason I say Vapid(ford) is cause we don't have a shelby brand in GTA as far I know of so the second best is the Vapid brand.

 

Also. I never knew of this stuff before.. Huh learn something new everyday

 

Considering it would be based on a british brand, it would make sense for it to be connected to one of the british-based brands currently in the game. So I'd say Ocelot or Enus would make most sense, if it's called the Mamba, then Ocelot would be the wayt to go since they already have the trend of them animal names with the Jackal. That being said this discussion is very far out there considering how little we actually KNOW, I still have very strong doubts towards that 'leak'... Especially considering the first car name listed directly translates to "Bravado Losers", and most of the other cars 'leaked' can be found added as mods from different people for PC.

 

I guess time will tell though, but I'm more interested in what Funmw2 has found with the different events, the confirmed lowrider 2 cars and the "ONLINE_CREATOR". As fun isn't encouraging people to donate to him or sub him or follow him or anything on his Twitter page, and really has proven himself time and time again.

Not really. Other than being British, the Mamba has nothing in common with those brands - Ocelot is based on Jaguar and Enus is based on Rolls-Royce/Bentley, so it really would be just stupid if it was manufactured by either of those. Look I'm just mainly hoping for the cars that were already shown. But people are posting their wishes and to be honest that is how this thread was pre-page 30. I don't personally care and I don't think others should either. It's pointless bickering.

Arguing with that sort of logic I could just say that "other then the engine the AC Cobra has nothing in common with Ford, meanwhile its design is sort of reminiscent of a Jaguar E-Type so still the most logical choice is Ocelot, considering they are the equivalent of Jaguar".

 

If you just want to state that you disagree based on the arguments you've already previously stated, then keep it to that instead of claiming your logic as "the most logical". Or bring something more substantial to the table.

I am almost certain it won't be, but I would love to be proven wrong. Heists, Lowrider and Halloween were nowhere to be seen in SP except for a few weapons.

 

I like to test things in singleplayer too to save money in Online

 

The Halloween vehicles were cut from Story Mode, they were meant to appear in SP also but they changed their minds at the last minute and made them into Online only vehicles, which is a damn shame

They should add it with the ability to paint a huge yellow Z on the roof.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I think they're going to continue with this because it will help boost shark card sales.

 

Why experiment in singleplayer when you could be wasting your money Online trying to find the perfect look for your car? Drain the player's wallet so that they will be more likely to spend real money

Again, cars are a big part of the game. Don't like the car posts, skim past. I do think they are a bit much lately but we don't have much to talk about aside from the back and forth banter about the French leaks being real or not. Would you prefer we go back to that? Or would you prefer we go back to just sitting around with our thumbs up our asses, and the occasional, "Hey, did you hear about (blank)" and the rest of us going "Yes, we've all heard about (blank) a thousand times already". Talking about cars is better than talking about nothing and the thread dying.

I want so many cars from the 3D era like SA and Vice City. i still think if they added the Broadway from gta sa it would be the perfect low rider car.



and as for the people who are constantly complaining oo this thread that it has turned into a car enthusiast thread, nobody is stopping you from talking about what you want to talk about as long as its related to possible future dlc content for gta v, nobody would mind. it just happens to be that a majority of the people on this thread like to discuss cars (most dlcs contain cars) and nobody is forcing you to read these posts.

Well then, you can always speculate about what is confirmed. For example right now, what will be 5 Lowrider Events leaked by funmw2. For sure it's SC Weekend, Snapmatic Contest and maybe R* Editor Contest (which would be little weird since one is currently ongoing). That leaves us with two more events... Maybe it will be released in December, so that two events could be Christmas Events

There just happens to be five weekends before xmas, coincidence or no? Think these next five weekends will be lowriders events? What could a lowriders event weekend possibly be? Probably just 2x $ races and 2x RP Lamar missions... I think we will get the Lowriders2 update this Tuesday. Lowriders2 update followed by five event weekends of 2x whatever and maybe some shirts then the festive update. Seems like the most logical schedule to me based off of what we know so far.

I wasn't claiming anything, and my logic would be that they introduced a new automaker based on AC, but they won't. So seeing as how the car actually has a Ford engine, and seeing as how there's no equivalent to AC in the game, R* will most likely make it a Vapid aka the equivalent of Ford. The car isn't even partially based on any Rolls-Royce/Jaguar, you can't possibly think they'd brand it either of those just because they're British? An AC Cobra manufactured by the equivalents of Rolls-Royce or Jaguar. Lol.

I expect one of the events to be x2 RP/cash on the adversary modes that use the lowriders.
