I notice this cobra looking car isn't a Vapid aka ford. So what the actual f*ck is it based off really? In most cases the cars names are based off it's real life counterpart. I.E Barvado Banshee being a 1st(?) gen viper

Just typical Rockstar f*cking up on simple branding. Probably as a pathetic attempt to show that these are fake cars and that they don't have to be branded accurately.

So something interesting found by Viper Venom, there is a non existent modification on the Peyote that is sat in Benny's on the car lift, it looks to be a future Lowrider mod possibly confirming that the Peyote and maybe the Manana will also get the Lowrider treatment, since these both have similar body options.

 

Honestly I don't think that Peyote is anything to go by since it is just a prop. Who knows though; anything is possible

I don't think Ford had a lot to do with the Cobra other supplying the power plant to Shelby though... Like it was never marketed as a Ford, it was AC/Shelby Cobra. AC was a British auto manufacturer, mostly using BMW motors? So I'm not really sure that it matters how they brand it. Also, I'll have to do some reading but I believe it almost ended up with a Chrysler or Chevy before Ford stepped in. I think Chevy turned Shelby down because they didn't want competition for the Vette.

They wouldn't put the extra time and effort into creating an extra addition for this model for no reason. It may be a test, as the Peyote in Bennys uses a Xbox 360/PS3 quality LOD, which is why it looks so rough. It may even be a beta attachment that they haven't touched.

The first cobra was built in Dean Moons (the guy who started Mooneyes) garage over in Santa Fe Springs just outside of LA. This one in fact.

 

As you can see it now hosts deans '34 and his race cars

Considering it would be based on a british brand, it would make sense for it to be connected to one of the british-based brands currently in the game. So I'd say Ocelot or Enus would make most sense, if it's called the Mamba, then Ocelot would be the wayt to go since they already have the trend of them animal names with the Jackal. That being said this discussion is very far out there considering how little we actually KNOW, I still have very strong doubts towards that 'leak'... Especially considering the first car name listed directly translates to "Bravado Losers", and most of the other cars 'leaked' can be found added as mods from different people for PC.

 

I guess time will tell though, but I'm more interested in what Funmw2 has found with the different events, the confirmed lowrider 2 cars and the "ONLINE_CREATOR". As fun isn't encouraging people to donate to him or sub him or follow him or anything on his Twitter page, and really has proven himself time and time again.

Well, it IS a "next dlc discussion" thread, and while I agree that focusing on just automobiles alone (as much as I love them) isn't all that contributing, its a part of the discussion. Sure, its not a wishlist thread, that'll have to change, but we can speculate on vehicles that have been "leaked" and what not right, just like the Mamba!

 

Anyway, fun's discovery of like, how many, 4-5 freaking lowrider "events" on SC is just wow. Either R* has been developing updates for CG for a while now and plans on releasing them every 3 weeks or so perhaps, I don't know. I don't think anyone can complain about getting new additions to the game every now and then, right? And the Christmas DLC is pretty damn close, snow ( ) and everything, and we can confirm whether the Tampa is going to show.

for the love of anything you believe in, please keep this thread anything-DLC/leaks related and don't fill it up with images of cars you want in the game. we all want different stuff, but there is a wishlist thread pinned on the top of the page for a reason.
