Bought it for a cool $125. Within a month I had a running driving '57 "hot rod". It was not even close to as pretty as the one pictured here, but it was mine, and I can always say I owned it.

 

where can you get such a classic for $125?

In Germany you'd pay over 20.000 for such a thing; if it's in bad condition

Maybe. I still don't get why people forget that those things were "leaked" as well. I've seen the same screenshot of the yacht model on this board like six months ago or so, people were arguing if its from the beta or TBOGT. The first speculation on yachts in the next update started in December. 2013. Based on some cut audio. What looks legit is the Slamvan and the Nightshade, however, the Nightshade still can be decent work of a modder.

 

Would a serious leaker provide images of a cargobo, a sofa and the Space Ranger suit? These things are in the game forever. It only makes sense if - like he admitted - wants to troll youtubers. We all know that certain youtubers don't know the game very well and barely play it and some already fall for it and made very stupid comments.

 

I mentioned the wallbreach for a reason. They could have fixed this wallbreach for the slasher mode with an invisible prop, but they didn't. So, if the developers are working on an update focusing on yachts, wouldn't they first get that they already messed one up?

 

As for the pricing, and here it is regardless if yachts are coming or not, R* definitely should be careful in further updates. While people understood that IGG was more like a luxury update for regular players and they were still able to buy some things, now the non-regular players get more and more left behind. Sure, they have gotten FM events, an update especially made for those who refuse to grind, stick to freeroam and only play a few hours per month. And all of them still have been able to participate in the Lowriders update, not in the way they wanted to, but one Lowrider with low level upgrades should have been affortable. The Halloween part was way overpriced, I spend a million on masks for both chars, I don't really mind, but the non-regular players I know bought nothing but the flashlight.

 

Once the non-regular players got the feeling they are left behind and can't catch up the wealth of other players anymore, they stop playing. At least in my experience. There is no need to own a T20 unless you are in a racing crew and a really competitive racer. Turismo does a good job as well. No need to own a Swift Deluxe if you don't play regularly and can buy a Buzzard on sale. All good to this point. But they really should not introduce gamebreaking items for high prices. A yacht could be gamebreaking in so many ways that I still doubt there is a way to implement it into online properly.

 

I don't like to speculate about prices for items we might never see in the game, but whatever might come, they should not take it too far. They do exactly what they wanted to avoid, they split the playerbase - into people who play and people who own a copy but don't play. By thinking about that, we should keep in mind that there are still trillions of modded money banked by noobs with rank 1338. If they dick around on their 20 million dollar yachts, while they would still die on heists if they play any, this would not encourage non-regular legit players to play the game more.

And I`m pretty sure that those players are the actual target group for shark cards.

I don't want the prices to be lowered on anything. I`m not a big sharkcard conspiracy theorist at all, but with the way they did it with lowriders, they have been trying to sell sharkcards to casual players, pretty obvious. This was a bit borderline, but still okay, since every casual player still can afford one and there is no need to own 12 maxed out lowriders like i do.

I also don't want players who never play to own 40 maxed out cars and golden planes, however, everyone should be able to participate in any update the way he can. This year tons of expensive stuff got added to the game and still the average rank in a public lobby is about 50, still plenty of new players start to play everday (i know, because i kill them regurlarly).

As for now, the most expensive items in the game are rather useless and it's fine this way. Casual players get drunk in my Luxor or Swift Deluxe, say ah, yeah, cool and never want to buy it. It's not like that with the lowriders and it will be very different with gamebreaking items like imaginary 15 million dollar yachts.

 

Well, usually I`d say play the game more, play the game right and make money, f*cking noob. But as you and me need items to spend their hard earned money on, it's getting harder for beginners or casual players to make progress. And it's the progress that should keep people playing GTAO. And in my experience, being broke lets people rather quit the game and go over to another than buying sharkcards or become a daily player. Halloween is a good example for players not being able to participate. The casual player just spend all his money on a lowrider, no way to get a Lurcher or Franken Stange.

 

TLDR: Updates are for everyone and the majority are brokeass casual players. If I don't know them, I don't like them and I don't like to play with them, but that does not matter at all. The solution is easy. Let luxury be luxury, continue with discounts (like a 50% off at Bennys for a weekend) and 2x money and RP weekends. Just to keep everyone interested in the game. A player that leaves the game is never gonna be a potential sharkcard buyer. Regarding to the doubtful addition of yachts: Let them be either cheap or useless. And I honestly don't want them to release another Lowrider update this year. Too many players gotta fix their bankroll after the first one. By saying this, it could come sooner than we think, so Santa Clause could push the sharkcard sales a bit.

updates are available to everyone regardless of their money, yes it may take them more time to acquire the goods but it would happen eventually.

 

money comes way too easy nowadays, player that are broke is their own fault.

Anywhere in the United States. It was beyond bad condition. Way beyond.

It was "I want this and that" before the leaks. Take a look at the discussions pre-page 30. Hopes and speculation. It's like a wishlist thread but with actual discussions instead of being a bottomless pit full of irrelevant crap that'll never happen.

 

But it seems all people want to do today is antagonize every chance they get. This is how the thread used to be. There is not much more to talk about on the topic of the leaks other fake vs. real so might as well just kind of get over it. I got this tab saved on my phone so that whenever I get bored I can refresh it and either see what's new or add my two cents on what people think would be a cool DLC or add my own suggestions with actual discussions.

What i'd consider a hardcore player is someone who has 100% completed story mode, actually gave a sh*t about story mode, plays daily mostly heists, has done all the easter eggs and about 100 days played or more, has either bought all the gold stuff or could own all the gold stuff while having money left over for something like a yacht. By that definition im no where near a hardcore player and never will be lol.

 

I guess it's subjective.

 

Yea the hull etc all look the same on all 3 yachts just the top deck looks different which i don't have a problem with really.

Guess I'm hardcore.

 

But I won't own a yacht unless there are some new interactions. Just like I don't own the Swift Deluxe or Luxor Deluxe. Smoking a cigar isn't enough. (unless I could sell my Luxor and Swift and trade up)

Me neither. To be honest, I dont like casual players. I rather kill em. I still feel sorry for them sometimes. Like when they honk at me in their Elegy and I have to pull the trigger. The Zentorno should be free now, would me feel less guilty.

nitro purge was possible on NFS:Underground 2(ps2), i dont see why they cant be added to gtao.

Sorry for dragging up something old, but I can't find this being discussed elsewhere, but there were vehicle files recently leaked (supposedly) that had a steroidal camero and a marcos like coupe. I was wondering if they were definately fake or actually extracted files. If they were extracted then which new vehicle would people be interested in?

I saw a video of the "Nightshade" (70's Split Bumper Camaro) It MIGHT be true, I dont go through files so I cannot say for sure.

Theres also "Mamba" (Shelby Cobra)

 

I for sure if real will be getting the Mamba, and Tampa. lol roughly it.

$200. He was at a scrap yard and the owner drove in, said he was trying to move that day and no one had shown interest in buying it so he was going to scrap it. Lurch offered him $200 in cash and the guy took it, and that was like, six years ago I think? Maybe seven? I've seen his car in person and driven it myself and I can tell you right now he got it for about 10% of what it was worth. I also picked up my E23 L7, one of less than 2,000 ever made, for $800, though I'm trying to sell it now (HVAC issues, the most common death of E23s).

 

It's really amazing what kind of deals you can find down here in the South.

Why we haven't yet gotten a Hermes is beyond me. Knowing Rockstar, they'd turn it into a Camaro ZL1 or something "hip" and modern. I love the Windsor we have now but they screwed up so bad. They knew people wanted an E-Type Roadster. Nothing else. To us Windsor = E-Type. What did they do? They took a modern British car and slapped the name on it. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same to the Hermes.
