For some reason, quoting wont work, so, @ Vinewood Villain: People have been saying this since GTA:O came out. New "big" game comes out (COD, Fallout, Far Cry, whatever) and yet GTA lobbies are still always full.......

Obviously GTA's playerbase won't just disappear when a new big AAA game like Fallout 4 releases. There are people who don't care for Fallout and will continue playing GTAO as if the game never released. My original point was no GTA Online update is going to undermine Fallout 4 in any capacity. Rockstar wants players to return to Online? Good for them, but Fallout 4 isn't going to be disturbed whatsoever. Most people are simply disinterested in an update for a game they played two years ago. Hell, Lowriders barely picked up any attention compared to Heists. No one is gonna have any money for this supposed yacht because no one - except maybe hardcore players - is gonna be compelled enough invest hours and hours of grinding in a 2 year old game for something worth what, anywhere from $15-25 million?

Really? I'd beg to differ. If nothing else there was a whole lot of whining on here about how expensive it was.

I think it got plenty of attention and did pull back some people to the game

Can't wait for this new DLC if true, Halloween DLC sucked besides slasher. That shark cards bought stat would be funny. That new helicopter looks nice, could be a daily flyer.

Nah, most players probably saw how insanely expensive the Lowrider kits were and were too lazy to grind. Popping in the game to try out the new weapons for like five minutes isn't "returning to the game". Rockstar wants players to reinvest their time into Online if players are coming back for an update. They want to preserve the game's lifecycle because let's be honest, they can and will benefit from shark card sales. I really dislike how outrageous the prices can be, it's not a F2P MMO, Rockstar. It's a $60 AAA game.

nor do they have as many aspects of game play.

I beg to differ. Definitely not COD, but Fallout can easily slaughter GTA in terms of content and interaction. Bethesda games are some of the most tangible and sandboxy games out there. I can't think of any other game where I can pickpocket an NPC's key, break into their house, and rearrange their furniture.

Gotta love Skyrim 😆

Nightshade will be above $500k.

atleast the Blackfin is 695,000

Exactly my reasoning. Reading my mind I see.

Rockstar would find the slightest of excuses to price anything higher in GTA V. however IMO i chose 250K because classics sports cars like the blackfin (although its classed as muscle) tend to be more valuable than muscle cars, but yet again this is my guess and it may be no where near

The blackfin is a corvette c1 restomod...is a muscle not a clasicc

Agreed! I was so pissed at the freemode event update that i didn't think i'd play gta again especially once cod came out but nope as soon as lowriders came out i was hooked! I was a casual player but would grind right after every DLC so i had money for the next then while i waited i'd go back to cod but now, i actually returned black ops 3 after i played that mess and now am fully invested in GTA: O, i just spent 10hours grinding for $400-$500k lol. I now have $14m getting ready for whatever dlc comes out next :)

Edit: another thing with all previous GTA's i'd always go back and play them, sure you get over GTA and you need a break every once in a while but you will always go back that's just how GTA is, the amount of hours i spent on GTA: SA, GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA IV as a kid is insane and only GTA IV DLC lol.

Again, quoting won't work from this PC/browser. @Vinewood Villain - I'm not trying to argue, or sound like a dick, but Rockstar don't need, nor could'nt give a crap about any title being released - this will never determine weather an update will come out. Updates are out when they're ready - triple A title or not. The fan base for GTA:O is always there. They don't need an update to compete with anything. Since day 1, till now, plenty of triple A titles have landed, yet GTA:O still continues strong and will do even after Fallout 4 is released. As a player from day 1, I've seen it all and heard it all before. Again, not trying to argue, or sound like a dick, just making a point :)

I agree. Neither games are hindered by each other, but there's no doubt about it: GTA is a powerhouse, nothing can really stop it.

I don't think the prices for Lowriders was too bad. Most of the whining was from the 12 year olds who have an incessant need to have everything RIGHT NOW.

Since Lowriders came out I've upped my money in game by about 3m, even after buying the Halloween cars. I've not really done anything special. I think money is pretty easy to come by. You can get 370k a week by just playing for 10 mins a day.

You can earn 370k a week by playing for 10 minutes every day.

COD and fallout from all I see mainly revolve around shooting enemy, be it human, mechanical or some sort of creature.

The sheer number of activities in GTA is pretty astounding really - straight up missions, several types of capture, versus, LTS, death match, survival and a few heists. Them there is all the other stuff - racing in several modes across what? Ten different types of vehicles? ParachutING, time trials, all the freeroam events (king of Castle etc). Even to the 'minor' stuff like tennis, golf, darts etc. You then have all the user generated content and still people come up with their own interests in freeroam - there's a crew just for bmx riding for example. Organised car shows, I know some devise their own game modes played in freeroam.

I think some forget how diverse gta is.

Whatever the next DLC is, I hope its as game changing as the lowrider DLC was and not like the old style DLC's where you just get a couple of cars some new clothes etc...

I couldn't care less. I just want the cars and the yacht and the guns. Don't care about anything else.

What I've noticed is people are always talking about the next update, even when one is released you then just go straight to the next update... Do people even care about the content of the/a current update ?

If they don't really add the cars I want, I kind of skip to the next update. After IGG2 I enjoyed the game and waited a month to think about the next DLC. But after Freedom, I went straight to thinking about the next DLC.

We should get a Super GT as well. James Bond this sh*t. Show a trailer with a Super GT being chased by an F620 and Ballers.

Oh sure. I still own cars from most of the updates, and I'm very fond of a lot of the features they've added. I still spend a huge chunk of my playing time doing either heists or free roam events.

But there's no denying that speculating about future changes is a little more exciting than replaying a heist you've already done a dozen times, or driving a car you've driven almost daily for months.
