It is depressing to see how many people believe that this DLC is real.

 

One of the more obvious reasons is if you look back R* always made themed DLCs Business, Flight School etc. Where do these cars fit in?

 

Secondly why would R* have these assets available on their server? And how come he only leaked models of the alleged cars but nothing about apartment customizations.

 

Thirdly the textures from the taillights of the cars aren't from V, almost all vehicles reuse textures from existing cars. Nor to mention that the texture of the AKS74-U is an actual picture of the weapon in real life mapped to the model, not V style and it would be incompatible with the weapon tints.

 

He showed the weapon tints for that weapon in the video man.

 

Also many, many cars reuse parts from other cars already.

 

and just because the Updates have had themes, doesn't mean they made any sense. Business Update just had a bunch of random stuff. Hipster cars made no sense. Pretty much every muscle car is just thrown in with random updates. Perfect example is Ill gotten gains. Million dollar super cars and some old lowriders in the same update.

 

Also, he leaked a crap ton of stuff for apartment customization.

It is depressing that you make a post like this without considering or acknowledging all the arguments made for why at least some of it basically HAS to be real. I won't bother rehashing them.

 

Honestly, I am a little tired of the circular fake/real/fake/real argument. By the end of the year, if not sooner, we will most likely have gotten 1-2 more updates and/or an announcement of a future update, and we'll KNOW. So I might just stop replying to these posts. It was once an interesting thing to dissect, but it's just going nowhere - and the longer it goes nowhere, the closer we get to knowing for certain, anyway.

Schafter 3 is probably an unamoured limo maybe and i haven't seen the oracles and the ballers yet.

my cars are worth about 18m all together and i have 13m in my bank account. i have been playing GTA V since day 1 which was 2 years ago so i don't think the prices are way off.

 

That all sounds pretty reasonable although the yachts are hard to price since we could assume the gold luxor is based off the only gold jet i could find which was $520m IRL and that was only $10m in game making the yachts around $5m $7m and $10m in game. Or the gold Luxor isn't based on anything and they just made it up, but from other vehicles basically they all have real life counterparts so.

Good point. To compare them fairly we should use the regular versions which cost under 2 mill each. If the yacht was gold-plated then it would be a fair comparison. Its prob gonna be static also so it'll be a glorified apt/pegasis vehicle hybrid. It might even be less than the luxor deluxe its hard sayin. It would be better for r* to release a cheap yacht (5 mill or less) around christmas that most ppl can afford. Everyone would be blown away by their generosity, and the massive buzz would push their CG sales through the roof. Then after the holidays the prices go back to normal to boost cash cards. R* is very clever and they know exactly what they're doing. Sometimes i think they let leaks out on purpose to get us hyped.

Well a tiny bit of it has been confirmed by fun but apparently that means the whole thing is legit to a lot of people on here lol. I won't believe anything until fun or R* announces something no matter how much "proof" there is to support it. Im bored so i don't mind joining in on the convo and discussing prices as if they are confirmed.

There is also the possibility that some of this stuff was never going to make it into the game. It could be totally legit, but that doesn't mean we'll ever see it.

The sport classic that he allegedly leaked is a 'cut and shut' of multiple vehicles, the midline of the body is from the Coquette BlackFin, the rear is from the Stinger GT, the hood is from the JB700, the lights are from the Casco and the lights in the grille are from one of the Dominator's grille upgrades.

 

Also someone mentioned that he in fact "leaked" things about apartment customizations, did he really? I didn't see any evidence of any programming or scripts implemented into the game, only a few screenshots of furniture models in OpenIV that can in fact be found in game.

Dude: you're just attacking the stuff that seems easy to attack. The reason we are willing to swallow some questionable-looking and possibly unfinished stuff is because of the stuff he leaked that basically has to be real. If you're not going to come with a convincing argument for A. why that stuff (the taunt and weapon animations, to start with) are fake, or B. how he got a hold of real stuff that no one else has but then decided to make a bunch of fake stuff to leak alongside the real stuff, then I'm not really interested in going any further. It's like trying to argue with a 9/11 truther who focuses entirely on burn marks outside the Pentagon or whatever, but refuses to discuss the bigger picture, because their version of the big picture makes no goddamn sense.

Agreed there is the possibility we will never see it and these are just things R* has played with (assuming Dragoon got these the way he apparently did). Generally if fun finds something it's going to be coming especially now since hasn't all the "cut content" that's in the game files been found?

Not to mention, if it was cut & shut, it would be far more noticeable. Right now it looks Rockstar-ish at best. Even Thundersmacker's remakes had some visual cues that weren't found in Rockstar's models.

 

Sorry Rented, but you sound truly f*cking delusional right now. Where's your evidence of the AKS-74u texture being a real image?

He found references to the three leaked taunt animations in the code from the last update. He didn't find the animations themselves, just labels that obviously correspond to them. It's not much but considering how skeptical he was, I think it's significant. The taunts basically had to be from Rockstar anyway - modders can't put animations like that into the game - but fun's finding all but confirms that they are new and forthcoming content, IMO. And once you acknowledge that fact, the entire rest of the leak becomes hard to dismiss. The things that are dodgy about it start to look like the typical unfinished parts of content under development, rather than shoddy fakes/mods.

 

More detail - fun found labels for taunts called "You Loco," "Peace," and "Finger Kiss." Go look at the three taunt screenshots (or the video - I think it includes the full animations) and it's pretty damn obvious that these are the names for them. Nobody else has found the animations themselves, but somehow this guy has them - and current, widely-available code refers to them. How that could be true yet the rest of the leak is fake is something that makes no sense to me. I was willing to believe it was all fake, or a clever mix of fake and cut content; but once part of it looks like a real leak of a new update, I have to think that it's all real. Albeit some of it is still clearly under development, and some of it we may never get, because that's how Rockstar rolls.

There has been a lot of leaked dlc in the past since GTA V has come out and it's clear that some of them haven't been released yet but one thing is for sure some of these contents in dragoon's leak are rockstar made and nobody can deny that. Whether they release them we don't know, we all have a bit of doubt because none of us works for R*

Well it would be nice if this update was real, I did look on that french forum and he did post text that look like they're from an xml file, personally I can't say much about that but it looks like to me that they are definitions, but again he could be making them up.

 

About the animations, well it is probably early for a V anim plug in for 3ds so that is the most convincing evidence, however I can't look past the fact that the sports classic is in fact a cut and shut and by the fact that not only the yacht's website is not like the others but that it uses images from real life, not even renders.

 

But, well I can't argue with this many people, I guess we will have to see and after all fun is pretty convinced.

Well, at least the Tampa should be reasonably priced, if other GTA IV muscle cars are anything to go by. The Dukes, Faction, and Stallion are all affordable.

I just hope they don't half-ass the modifications for it like they did with the Stallion.

I expect the Tampa to be released exclusively to next-gen returning players on the PS5 and XBOX One 2
