Future DLC Discussion Thread

Im thinking 15 mill max for the yacht. That way its the biggest status symbol, yet relatively affoardable. Swift 5 mill, luxor 10 mill, yacht 15 mill just sounds right. They arent gonna sell any shark cards if its any more than that. 15 mill is 2 megladons ($200) as it is, which would be a lot, even for the most spoiled squeeker. Plus r* price logic is strange as is. A lambo veneno (zentorno) irl costs 3-5 mill, while ingame its only 750k, but a broken wine bottle costs $2500 from ammunation lol.

Agreed, I just don't see it being anything above 15 mil. Imagine the whining from people who can't afford it, it will be bad enough - make it 30-50 mil however... Lol. Edited November 8, 2015 by Jusa93

Weight reduction, super chargers, even carbon bodies for cars like the zentorno/ T20/ Osiris and just other performance cars. All I want is a damn 918 to be put in this game. I remember when the 'Pfister Meteorite' was leaked and I was nearly moved to tears. R* should just add some more performance based DLC, to make racing more fun. I agree with everyone begging for other performance customization. They can do so much more now that LG is put behind, and I do think all of this is coming, sooner or later.

We need some many more pfisters. im surprised there is only one. where is the 918, the Speedster, Classic 911, Panamera, however the were two other Pfisters other than the comet in Chinatown wars the style SR and the 500 XLR8 they may come to GTA V

 

Also i was thinking the Yachts could have Garages with cheapest having 2 and the expensive one having 10 and all will be need could be a small cut-scene showing your car being docked at the docks or wherever for example. i also very much doubt the yacht will be movable or maybe, the customization are for our apartments and the yachts could be drivable. its any ones guess tbh.

I've noticed something lately. I think Rockstar is giving us a hint towards what's coming in the future. We know the Sabre is next in line and same with the Slamvan for lowrider treatment, and I've noticed when getting into them, the camera pulls in from where I normally have it. I have it as far away from the car as possible so I can see everything g around my car, usually click the touchpad on my controller three times, and another click is first person. I've noticed that in the Sabre, Slamvan, Vigero, Picador, Massacro, Sandking, and a few others. Maybe a hint towards what may be coming?

Again, it would be weird if they were fake. Too much detail. Spot on detail. There's not a thing that looks out of place.

 

My guesses on the prices are $400000 for the Verlierler, $300000 for the Cognoscenti 55, $500000 for the Cognoscenti L, $125000 for the Nightshade, $1000000 for the Mamba, $250000 for the Schafter V12 and $350000 for the Schafter V12 LWB.

Yacht prices in real life are a very diverse range depending on size, features and manufacturer, and anyway, real life has f*ck-all to do with GTA. For what it's worth - which is not much - my guess is 15 million. Anything from 12-20 mil seems probable to me; 15 is a nice round number that steps up from the 10 mil tag on the gold Luxor. And I don't think there's any chance a yacht costs less than that thing. It will be the ultimate status symbol, for sure. But I also don't see it being so much more that no one can afford it. So 15 feels about right, and probably nothing else in the game will ever cost that much.

 

As for the comment that yachts definitely won't come to the game... I don't know. I definitely think this content is real and made by Rockstar, but that doesn't mean that the yacht portion is anything other than an idea they're playing around with. It's clearly not close to finished based on what we've seen thus far. And however they choose to implement it, there have to be some major technical hurdles involved. I do think though that they made this stuff, and I also don't think they would have put the work in to make the basic models if they weren't seriously considering it as a new feature. I'd say it's about 40% likely we get them, 60% we never do.

I know right, there's just no way. Hoping the prices will be around that range too, but seeing as the Windsor was almost 900k (and it's not really a great performer, either) I'm kinda worried lol. Nevertheless I'd buy the LWB Cognoscenti (and possibly the SWB too), the Schafters and the Verlierler/Verlierer/whatever no matter the price, give them to me! The Mamba I'm still kinda debating, I'll probably wait to see the customizations etc. before buying it tbh.

Multiply all of those prices by 4 and you've got a theory.

That all sounds pretty reasonable although the yachts are hard to price since we could assume the gold luxor is based off the only gold jet i could find which was $520m IRL and that was only $10m in game making the yachts around $5m $7m and $10m in game. Or the gold Luxor isn't based on anything and they just made it up, but from other vehicles basically they all have real life counterparts so.

 

P.S We have the same amount of money.

Look - the more expensive a vehicle gets in real life, the more the GTA price has no relationship to the reality. The prices of the more expensive Pegasus vehicles (Hydra, Savage, Titan, Milljet, etc.) are utterly ridiculous compared to reality. Not only are they generally a lot less expensive, there is also no real logic to the prices relative to each other. So trying to figure out what these yachts might cost based on real-world values is pointless. Rockstar won't price them that way at all. They'll be priced relative to existing content, as well as a little algorithm known as "How much can we charge for this before nobody even buys it?"

Rockstar would find the slightest of excuses to price anything higher in GTA V. however IMO i chose 250K because classics sports cars like the blackfin (although its classed as muscle) tend to be more valuable than muscle cars, but yet again this is my guess and it may be no where near

The Blackfin is a custom car, just like the Slamvan, Rat Truck, etc. That is why it is muscle. It is a highly modified version of a 50's Coquette. That is what the Nightshade is as well. A highly modified early 70's Vigero.

 

That is why I expect it to be similar or even more than the Blackfin. Muscle is the most populous class in the game now, people love them. They will just keep adding cars and upping the prices.

 

 

I bet somebody saw you post that and immediately thought, yep, "Mach is about to explain the Coquette Blackfin situation"

It is depressing to see how many people believe that this DLC is real.

 

One of the more obvious reasons is if you look back R* always made themed DLCs Business, Flight School etc. Where do these cars fit in?

 

Secondly why would R* have these assets available on their server? And how come he only leaked models of the alleged cars but nothing about apartment customizations.

 

Thirdly the textures from the taillights of the cars aren't from V, almost all vehicles reuse textures from existing cars. Nor to mention that the texture of the AKS74-U is an actual picture of the weapon in real life mapped to the model, not V style and it would be incompatible with the weapon tints.

Well, at least the Tampa should be reasonably priced, if other GTA IV muscle cars are anything to go by. The Dukes, Faction, and Stallion are all affordable.
