From the Patch Notes of the latest update..

"Fixed an issue that incorrectly triggered a wanted level in the wilderness when committing a crime with no witnesses."

 

Now, we can stop moaning about this issue that's finally been corrected.

That's news to me. However, we shouldn't have been the ones discovering that, and pointing that out here. :)

Animals are still witnesses.

You talking about last gen consoles only or this affects PC and current gen consoles too?

Correct me if im wrong but on PC Ive never had that stupid wanted level for shooting in the middle of nowhere with no one around.

Animal witnesses? Pffff... The silencers are still un-silenced.

I never bother using a suppresser for my 9mm or any gun. Only the Sniper gun.

So, this is the new Patch? Okay:)

witnessinformation.meta was updated (which was the file that was causing the whole "animals report you" nonesense.)

 

Before:

Not many changes but I think the flags should correctly state that animals are not witnesses anymore.

By the end of 2015, R* will have probably fixed the wanted system, opened all the locked interiors (including that cursed casino), silenced all the silencers, brought back the crouch, removed the aircraft turbine's issue, and finally announced the SP DLC which includes the Heist Update vehicles for the PS4 and Xbox One.

 

All just for the sake of jabbing the Last Gen community as much as they can for the purpose of convincing them to urgrade to Next Gen.

I doubt this will change much. GTA IV & RDR had the exact same issues with stealth, which seems as if the A.I. can see you commit crimes through walls.
