The document has been passed around and not posted publicly yet as far as I'm aware but mods here can verify that I'm telling the truth (they've seen it), it's just not being posted because it's pretty damn large and everyone wants to make sure we've got all we can out of it before Rockstar do their Rockstar thing and get it all pulled down.

I'm just wondering where it originated from though. How did you obtain your copy?

It's like a scrapbook of notes, combined into one file, must have been a note taker or someone briefing the sessions, with the content in discussion it must've came from someone at either NYC or North, the dates are across 2012 outlining current plans, issues, bug reports, ideas and plans, future game plans, etc. I obtained it through a friend of a friend, had it for months, keeping an eye on Rockstar to see what they do with RDR2 and how it's matching up with this outliner plan (though a bit delayed). I thought you've seen it?

A leaked Rockstar notes session spanning over a few months of production meetings, funny enough it did predict that RDR2 was going to be the next game, but it had that down as AFTER the GTAV SP DLC, it also revealed the next game going into full production after RDR2, but who knows if the plan has changed on that, but I can say it's not a sequel.

Yeah I think I have the same as what you're talking about, but there's like those mentions of email addresses in there, so I've been curious to where it originated, difficult finding the original source though since several people seem to know about it at this point.

There was going to be THREE DLCs for GTAV:

 

- An actual storyline DLC fitting in with GTAV

- An Alien War DLC in the style of undead nightmare

- A Zombie Apocalypse DLC that would've been on Next Gen/PC only

 

Man how different things would've been if they stuck to that.

 

Yeah, some of the stuff done was re-used for GTAO, especially the Halloween Stuff that was meant to be Easter Egg things in the Zombie Apocalypse one.

 

Both major "What If?" DLC's would've drastically changed the map too, the Zombie Apocalypse one would've had destroyed buildings, army wall around Los Santos, camp sites in Blaine County, etc. Alien War DLC was said to have a cinematic intro showing what the UFO's were doing in GTAV and how they summoned an Earthquake causing one of the mountains to open up revealing a hidden Spaceship where the Aliens awaken and start their invasion including an attack on Downtown LS.

 

So by the end of it, we'd have THREE versions of the map to play around in and that would've had Online modes too.

 

edit: Basically, the Alien Easter Egg stuff in GTAV which now leads to nothing would've had a purpose and was hinting to that DLC. And this was still planned for 360/PS3, and then an additional DLC, the Zombie Apocalypse one, was planned for PS4/XB1/PC since they talked about how much they could push the game and have huge hoards of Zombies and Army fighting in the game, increased trash, wrecks, burnt out vehicles, etc, on the streets, electrical fire and crumbling buildings.

 

edit 2: I'm actually sad typing this stuff out, there was THREE SP DLC packs, THREE being worked on, and now we have NONE, not a singhle one thanks to the sh*t that went down in 2014.

Dude, that sounds so f*cking cool, also matches up with what Fun found in the files a while back. I hope they atleast release the storyline DLC, at the very least, I don't know if they have time to release the other although we would love it, maybe if they released them all at once, even at all.

I mean wasn't the benz's name all over Online as well in terms of royalties and such?? So why only SP DLC ends up getting nuked into oblivion???

Him getting fired caused a chain reaction of people leaving Rockstar North and NYC (and even some deciding to leave from San Diego), production was halted as Rockstar had to go through a transition phase of hiring new people, shuffling remaining staff around, etc, and the only team remaining on constant was the GTAO team at Rockstar North who were ordered to keep on Online content due to the success they were seeing at the time with it.

 

edit: to sum it up, Rockstar North where these DLC were being made lost a lot of people and the studio had to be reworked, SP DLC being a casualty of this change.

After reading your post about the 3 sp dlcs I must confess It makes me depressed and feel like crying now. Also having the Halloween cars(which are nothing special) are marked as sp cars yet not available in story mode seems like a massive F.U to story mode but thats for another thread.

I hate how Franklin wants to be a bank robber yet he or M and T can't even rob sh*t aside from Gas Stations and those trucks with suitcase of money lmao. I wonder if the grounded SP DLC would've let us do that, Michael and Trevor really help this kid leave the whole "ghetto hood rat" baby sh*t behind to make something of himself, makes you wonder if the DLC could've been centered around taking scores on your own, the stupid kids already have their bullsh*t heists in Online, sure whatever f*ck you. The zombie mode can actually do really well, I'd only like it if we get a grounded DLC first.

 

 

The zombie DLC might play out like this, R* proved it with Undead Nightmare and they can do it again here.

 

Edit: I'd also love to see Trevor Philips Industries expanded, give us real rewards for completing Gunrunning jobs, cool new weapons, vehicles spawning in certain spots on the map, new planes/jets, better tanks, etc...

I didn't know they planned a third DLC, I can confirm what Ash said.

The storyline DLC is codenamed AGENT, featuring Trevor working as undercover agent.

You can only play as Trevor with this DLC, same with the Zombie Apocalypse as Michael and I guess that leaves Franklin for the Alien one

Nope, actually a new original game, with San Diego meant to take over the project after their production on RDR2 (though with how that's been delayed passed projected dates in this document, I wonder if they'll do it, or shelf it and do a different game by another studio).

Do you personally believe they're still going to do this? Or move on to a new GTA or something?

Damn, those DLCs would've breath new life into the single player mode. Too bad the whole Benz fiasco had to happen, and too bad R* isn't attempting to try and continue the production of these DLCs since the game isn't much dead yet. Once RDR2 is out GTA V will be all but forgotten by Rockstar.

They could very well release the SP DLCs later this autumn/winter. I do not see how it would be a problem if they re-used content that they have already dished out for Online.

wow those dlcs sounded very cool. that really does suck that they never released them. since rdr 2 is delayed now is a perfect time to release them. especially if rockstar might be planning on slowing down updates for gta online. does anybody know how far they were in development? if they got a lot done then they should be able to quickly finish them and release. heck I would be happy with just one of the dlcs. the gta 5 story was already short I just want to see our protag trio kicking ass again and expanding on these cool characters. please rockstar if you must at the least release one.

On a side note... I have had as much fun hunting for non existent chiliad mystery as i did hunting for bigfoot and pigsy at 15. Seeing as we actually got bigfoot with V, maybe VI will have the HD jetpack and flyable UFO? LOL...DISAPPOINTED!

Yeah, thinking about it, which mountain contains the Alien spaceship base is not mentioned, but with all the Chilliad stuff, the fact that at 100% THAT'S where the UFO appears above, the message on Mount Chilliad saying something like "Come back when your adventure is finished", it was heavily hinted.

 

Damn, that would've be good to see, Mount Chilliad destroyed by a forced Earthquake.

If the dlc had released then the game would have gone from a 6 out of 10 in GTA standards to a 8 or 9 out of 10. What a shame.
