I think that if the DLC is not here by 2020 it's definitely not coming. Until then, the jury is still out.

part of me thinks the reason why we might not be seeing anything and the reason we haven't seen anything is because of the benz and his lawsuit

 

 

By that logic though we wouldn't of seen the newest big update for GTA Online either.

 

They just have their own marketing plan and E3 wasn't part of it. Perhaps they preferred to have their game have the sole spotlight rather than get lost in all the other games coverage. Like it keeps being said, Rockstar could throw up a logo and date for a trailer next Wednesday and all eyes from gamers and the industry will be on them rather than a convention.

 

So with that said, I don't think anything is happening this week. Gamespot will spotlight Days Gone and Spider-Man as their surprise Sony games.

 

not really. He could've been involved in the Developing of GTA SP DLC and RDR.. GTA O was already established by the time of the lawsuit. So the newer updates wouldn't matter. It is possible that there was some older updates that he was involved in that might've not came out and it could also be the reason why the Heist took so long to come out. Maybe they had to go back recreate different heist missions without his support. but the courts could block GTA SP DLC and RDR from seeing light until everything is settled. it would be harder to get a stop on GTAO material that wasn't developed by him

Really? i thought he was behind the sp dlc and that R* dosn't want a sp dlc because they would have to pay him the royalties...

If the House are behind the sp dlc where's the problem? Online is going in the direction that Benz wanted right? It will become a sort of gta world for online, a place where we will be able to travel from a city to another.. So what's pushing back sp dlc ?

Well Garbut took the place of The Benz right? We don't know if he can handle it and is developing it. Maybe the SP dcl coulf be the final dlc

They'd never create full cities for DLC. Any map expansion would be something like North Yankton or an enhanced Liberty City.

The only thing they could do is recreate LC because it's an already existing city. This would take them a lot of time (fun mentioned lc in december) so if it was to come out i would say the release date could be november or december. Fun stated that if a sp was released it would have to be liberty city based

A SP DLC could be less profitable than online updates however they could make some serious money. It could be for ps4 xb1 and pc only and it could be 50$. They could earn a lot

What happened last time was there was a 5 year gap between GTA IV and GTA V, however during these 5 years Rockstar released 8 games. Fast forward to GTA V nothing major has been released in 3 years.

 

I just don't get it.

3 years after GTA IV we had

• Red dead Redemption
• Red dead Redemption: Undead Nightmares
• Midnight Club: LA
• Beaterator
• GTA: T.B.O.G.T and T.L.A.D
• GTA: Chinatown wars
• LA: Noire

3 years after GTA V we had

• GTA V on PS4 and PC. (If that counts)
