The GTA V Story Mode DLC Speculation Thread

We only know LC existed at some point in development with that portfolio pic which was now deleted (it's rehosted in the beta hunt), all else we'll see. For all we know it was scrapped.

you know if it was scrapped i think the guy could have left it in his portfolio since it was scrapped...

I'm still hoping..

It would probably be a good idea to stop waiting for a SP DLC.

i want to believe the key word here is waiting and that we will see an announcement at E3 which is why we need to stop waiting, because its happening

that's your opinion, but until november i'll be patient..

OT: when do you think R* could reveal the red dead trailer at e3? i'm just asking because i'm also eager to see how the rage engine will perform with current gen consoles. Also those graphics will be upgraded with gta next right?

Only fun and yan could answer the big question about sp...

In november we'll have an answer imo since there's the weird meeting with the 3 voice actors 3years after the release of the game.

It would probably be a good idea to stop waiting for a SP DLC.

Well, there you have it. Back when the news about The Benz hit, Fun also expressed doubt about the DLC ever happening.

http://gtaforums.com/topic/820262-the-story-mode-dlc-thread/?p=1068695374

So what you're saying is no sp DLC? Good bye V then.

Yes, Goodbye GTAV and Goodbye SP DLC.

This is the proof from The Benz lawsuit:

On July 29, 2014, Sam Houser invited The Benz to fly from Los Angeles

to New York. Ms. Kolbe picked up The Benz at the airport and met with him for a

period of hours. Ms. Kolbe suggested that The Benz take some “personal time.” Mr.

The Benz agreed, understanding that there were no urgent game deliverables, allowing him

time to devote to family matters. Ms. Kolbe offered assurances stating that “this is why we

work so hard,” “we’ve all afforded ourselves time-off when needed,” and “there’s nothing

in the pipeline right now requiring time on the job.”

RIP SP DLC

Dangerous and sad

Then why were you constantly providing evidence that it was happening?

You know what? R* will provide few updates for online from now on since they've got to focus their attention RD3 and promote it.

When online dlc will end there could be a chance to hear something about sp (by that i mean that R* could simply say "no sp dlc guys"), there could be 3 to 5 updates left for online imo

I personally have got to the point where Im not really concerned about new missions for SP. All I want is all the updates we got over the past year to be in SP. That is my expectations at the moment. I want to wake up and see on the patch notes.

Story Mode

  • Added all Online content to Story mode.

My standards are low right now. but I still would like a proper SP DLC, because why not?

If R* never plan on making SP DLC then they should have told us straight away, instead of ignoring the question, finding a way around the question or even worse talking about Online when asked about SP DLC. I just hope at E3 they can address the status of the SP DLC, even if its a "no".

I really hope they do announce single player DLC at E3, mostly because i love the title and look forward to more content but partially so people like you can f*ck off back under whatever rock you crawled out from under. I cant for the life of me understand why some of you are bothered so much about a small thread in a GTAV sub forum within a fan site where people speculate on the existence+substance of any potential DLC.

This thread has absolutely dominated the GTA V sub forum for well over a year now, it's going to and has been attracting all sorts of people, like a train wreck you can't look away from, it's not a private treehouse club for believers only, and it's not unreasonable for people to express astonishment at the ones who still think it's coming at this point - for god's sake, even the supposed leakers, the people who originally whipped everyone up into this ridiculous fervor have already told people to not hold their breath and those same people who believed them back then refuse to hear them now. I'm really looking forward to e3, not just because of the game announcements and whatnot, but to read the preposterous reasons why people will STILL believe it's coming after e3 comes and goes without word of the "SP DLC".

E3 is it for me, i have very little hope left that single player DLC is coming and what little hope i do have left is pinned firmly on E3, beyond that its time to give these forums and the game itself a break until i see a GTA VI advertisement in a shop front window when i happen to walk past Gamestop or something lol

Having said all of that if people are still here speculating 12 months from now i couldn't give a damn, each to their own, i don't see why people get their knickers in a knot over someone else holding out hope when you have given up hope, each to their own. There is a big difference between the naysayers popping in here to express their opinions as opposed to their current stance of attacking believers and asking for the thread to be locked/deleted.

Fair enough. In all honesty, E3 might be where I take a break from this place as well, there are a few upcoming open world games out there that I find more intriguing than the mythical SP DLC at this point, and of course, Red Dead.

His portfolio wasn't the only one to be nuked after the news spread, which is really odd, it happened between a lot of R* devs. The others I either dunno what they had or they only had harmless pictures of either other games or the final V build. But yes, that is indeed a point and it's one of the reasons why I hope it's still being developed in some way. Really. You'd think that after the Agent leaks and some of the assets from V being leaked during development theyd have learned their lessons. Apparently not.

I still think it was an overreaction if Rockstar told them to remove the things. Well, maybe except for the RDR on next gen RAGE picture, but even so, removing all of that just makes people suspect even more.

It's usually OK for artists to post development stuff of already released titles.

From this post on out, there's discussion in the next two pages or so. A portfolio was found from an ex-R* artist who had quit recently and some "innocent" artwork, then a picture of what seemed to be an unknown RDR location within the V engine was found on a Recent Uploads page. The picture was supposed to be under password protection in a folder, along with others, but that specific one wasn't. The artist has since deleted his portfolio, which also happened with the artist who had LC rendered within V with remastered terrain.

That's definitely Jack Marston in that image.

http://images4.fanpop.com/image/quiz/459000/459403_1281954617697_300_221.jpg

I'm really hoping this is cut content of some kind (promotional screenshots do exaggerate the visuals of a game) or maybe there's going to be some sort of directors cut of RDR for the CG - because if this is RD 3, I'll be slightly disappointed, I never really liked Jack

We'll know within week whether SP DLC will be released at some point. GTA V is already nearly 3 years old game. Time is ticking...

I can't tell if that's Jack Marston or not, but I can't see that being a shot of the next Red Dead, the graphics of it are pretty average by today's standards, hardly better than RDR is now.

I'd rather have sp dlc than new red dead because red dead sucks in my opinion

I would also rather have SP GTA V DLC than another RDR, but I can't say that the original RDR sucked since I never played it. But being a huge GTA fan, more SP content for the latest masterpiece would be my preference over just about anything else in gaming.

I fully agree with you here. SP DLC any day than the sequel to the overrated mediocrity that is RDR

I'd rather the sequel to RDR to be honest. When I think back RDR got Undead Nightmare only about 5 months after release. Boy have times changed.

Why not both :catloaf:

Honestly I think I'd prefer the SP DLC more, despite my opinion on V I still wanna see more of it story-wise. I'm interested in RDR3 but I remember Redemption was only fun for a while after beating it, I always ended up going back to GTA IV, mostly because I feel more comfortable playing a modern era based game.
