The GTA V Story Mode DLC Speculation Thread

Imagine playing as someone like Tuco from Breaking Bad...

You mean, someone like Trevor? Been there, done that

Imagine playing as an average accountant at Maze bank. Your life is normal, until you break bad and have to take vengeance on bank robbers. At the end, your final mission is to finish the financial statement for Maze, which you neglected throughout the whole game. otherwise you're fired, which brings up a "FIRED" screen as opposed to wasted or busted.

Accounting DLC happening

sounds like something from the later seasons in Weeds..

Will this affect your guys' decision to buy GTA VI?

If GTA V still doesn't get a DLC, I will pray that the executives who were behind the idea of ignoring most of the fanbase get replaced or lose their jobs and have a much better team in their place.

Then, I would still buy GTA VI the moment it comes out, if it suffers like GTA V from a short or even shorter story and most of the content is STILL Online, then I would sell my copy for a can of Pepsi and never buy another Rockstar game.

I'll continue to buy their PC games as long as they deliver a fabulously optimzed game. If V runs amazingly well then I'm really looking forward to more RAGE AWESOMENESS!!!!!

Everything seems to make sense now. It started with GTA V Oclock tweet, then few days later, Rockstar added external builds, later we saw GTAF staff trolling and now this. Just connect the dots ;)

excuse me but it seems like I missed an interesting dot all this while. Could you tell exactly what did the staff contribute on their part?

They started some sh*t just to troll the YouTubers, at least that was their story. Some people think they were just trying to cover up a leak.

In my opinion either situation is bad, they either covered up a leak and set about trying to shut down any and all conversations relating to it or they intentionally f*cked with the community here when they know damn well all we need is a slight hint of something to be whipped into a frenzy of speculation. Honestly not sure which is worse.

Nope. My decision of its purchase will be to see what's it about and if it would be good in my time schedule.

Personally there is a good chance i will be buying GTA 6 On day one.
Here is a question for everyone, What would you prefer regarding GTA 6 DLCs?

- They continue what they are doing with GTA V in GTA 6 by giving us free content however it was exclusive to Online and pretty expensive in game but lasted 2/3 year +.
- In GTA 6 instead of making the DLC Free, they charged with every DLC. It will be available for SP and Online with better quality
- They Release a paid SP DLC first for GTA 6 then focused on Free Online Content
- No DLC, all content was already in the game
- They Update SP and Online at the same time but nothing story related just in content.

Accounting DLC happening

Includes...

"Copying machine paper jam" mini game

"Office birthday party" mini game

While inside the office, you'll have to avoid Ronda from HR(human resources) who loves to talk about her cat Mittens. She'll have a "vision-cone", just like the cops. If she catches you, you'll have to listen to a 10 minute story about her cat.

If they started charging us for DLC, that would be it for me. I'm sure they'll be making enough money from horny players buying shark cards when they don't have enough money to invite a prostitute into their Blista Compact already.

Maybe, release much more content per DLC? Larger chunks instead of small updates such as that seen from certain sub-standard DLC's. I wouldn't mind the wait personally.

No, I was just curious as to what the people on this thread wanted to be done about DLCs in future installments. because none here seems to like the current trend.

Free online updates because it supports itself anyway.

Paid singe player DLC, i would gladly pay full price every year or so for another city to be added to the GTA world.

I would want to believe Rockstar totally understands that there's a greater demand for content even post-release of V SP. Its difficult for me to believe that he'd take this opportunity lightly, and not wanting to offer in return for a guaranteed success, regardless of the actual profit to cost value.

Either they're in a postion of not able to deliver due to whatever reasons to justify it, or they're waiting all thus while for....like the saying goes, "strike while the iron is hot"

CaptainBicycle

I probably would buy VI, but if the Online centered trend continues I'll pass on VII. As for VI DLC, I'd be fine if they released paid SP DLC first, then focused on Online.

LOL I wish I had your ability of planning 15 years ahead in my life including what games I'll be playing (if any).

I don't think ".. released paid SP DLC first, then focus on Online" is really in line with what one would think logically, quite simply because, time is money, and the fervor with which players would jump into Online when the game, and demand is still fresh in the players, its better to launch Online sooner without facing the players backlash who enjoyed Online during V by delaying it further than it should be.

This may be a huge mistake on their part to not launch the next Online early when the demand suggests that it can deliver sales and money than postpone it till they release a SP DLC with no content to roll and lose the hype, and millions they spend on marketing alone to generate that strong hype, in a competitive multiplayer market with titles like COD and others making cash.

Sadly, Online is going to stay, and will get better, as Dan himself has shown interest with "GTA Online could evolve in many crazy directions"

Soo...

Its likely, in future the situation will be more or less the same in the way they treated Online now.

Personally, Online is not the problem as long as they release the base game strong enough that we wont even need any expansion...

I'll always believe there's a SP dlc if Fun says there is, not so long ago he posted on the forums that "casino will come with SP dlc"

He gives me hope...

Okay cool, but i didnt mean they didnt have online until after a DLC was out i just meant the first DLC was a paid SP DLC then the rest were for Online. However this doesnt matter as like you said they are more than likely going to be focusing more on online in almost all their future games as this quote suggests. "GTA Online’s success means we are going to be able to work on a lot more in the future too as we’ve learned a ton and have come up with even more ideas for future games."

Also if you check GTA-Series's website there's a post about the new year, in it there's an interesting line which is, and i'm quoting, "Auguriamo a tutti voi, iscritti, utenti di passaggio ed utenti troppo timidi per fare il primo passo ed iscriversi, un felice anno nuovo all'insegna di tante nuove ore di divertimento tanto nella vostra vita reale di tutti i giorni, quanto in quella virtuale per le strade di Los Santos e chissà, magari di qualche nuova città - occhiolino, occhiolino" . Transated it means: We wish you all users a happy new year being entertained in the real life as much as in the streets of Los Santos and (this is the important part) ,who knows, maybe of a NEW CITY - wink wink. I think they know something

@ eyman

My post was directed towards CaptainBicycle's post by quoting him in specific. I didn't post with your response in mind, though I should've made it clear, so excuse me for not making it.

Coming to your response and quoting the part, "the first DLC was a paid SP DLC then the rest were for Online" then yes, I indeed misunderstood it. I don't know if its possible to launch it in that fashion unless the Online mode itself has been entirely either released as a standalone title, or separated into independent modes that the release of the first SP DLC would not create any issue to the online mode, including other independent updates that follow up.

Will this affect your guys' decision to buy GTA VI?

It already did.

I won't fall for the hype and I wil disregard every rating on Gamestop, IGN and everywhere else, I will just stick to the forums and see what the other players think, then I will watch some gameplays from youtube and take my own conclusions if I should buy the game or not and THEN I will wait until the price drops which takes about 6 months after release around here. And see if the focus on Online is still the same, if it is then I won't buy it and I'll stick to Online if there's a way to just download VI content to Online via paid DLC.

@kBlaise lol you're right. But hey, this is all hypothetical, so why not? It'll probably be released before Agent anyway, and people talk about that.

@Osho Yeah, I meant the same as eyman, sorry if I wasn't clear. And even though it's not gonna happen, the best choice imo would be to release the next version of Online as a paid standalone. Then again, maybe that wouldn't solve the imbalance between SP and MP. Ultimately that's up to R* to decide. I hope they learn about their mistakes and fix them with VI, but then again their idea of learning from their mistakes is 'Oh not many people finished IV's story so let's make V's shorter'. The future looks bleak.

GTA VI's Launch Trailer is going to get everyone hyped, I cant put it into words. They (Including me) will be pre-ordering the game when they see the thumbnail on Youtube from R*
