Well, the problem is Furry, most! if not all the core crew feel the same way about the update so they don't want to play them in crew session and see them as junk clogging up what could be an immersive criminal mp/co-op game. We had hoped for better based on a Heists is all. We make of it what we can but we are moving to concentrate on crew created playlist and movie making GTA and many of us are switching to Destiny for our co-op, PvP and progressive fun.

I can complete understand that this would be good update for you, given your love for stunting, but its not for me or most of the crew. We wanted more co-op and gang related rpg elements which have yet to surface and the game and crew celebrate 2 years by November 6th so not all bad, we will make of it what we can until it changes or a different game comes along.

 

Fair enough. We see it completely differently, but that's life. It took Rockstar over a year longer than they first said to get heists to us. I think if you're waiting for that kind of update to come again then you're gonna be waiting a long, long time! I'm still tempted with Destiny, but I bought Battlefield Hardline for my shooter lust. That's awesome, but sci-fi does it for me so it's still itching away at the back of my head. Ah well, only 60 days and I'll have my sci-fi fix that I've been waiting 10 years for. I can't wait to kill me some Luke Skywalker!

I bought GTA 5 day one. Was expecting a SP DLC from my experience with GTA 4. Sorry I didn't have a crystal ball. Might have to think long and hard about GTA 6, would not be shocked if its exclusively an online game...

I think the Event Update has been a winner and I've had a real laugh with it, especially talking on the mic and relating my experiences.

 

Obviously, there's not much left to do in GTA online now besides grind up more cash and wait for the next big thing, possibly even GTA 6? Hopefully Rockstar will have enough sense to allow existing GTA online players to transfer their cash to whatever new game they release in the future, but it's still fun doing freeroam events and earning a bit of cash while you're at it.

 

It's certainly not dead for me, just in a bit of pause mode maybe, especially as there are no stats on the Rockstar Social Club for all these new events.

Also unsure where I mentioned I was scared of dying in a computer game?

I have no issues dying in the game within a game mode...in freemode it's utterly pointless...an inconvenience.

In FIFA, if you were to never kick the ball you would never progress. In GTA Online, you can progress without mindlessly killing players 24/7. Even cars is a major part of GTA. It's not all about killing.

(I am assuming) Being ungrateful is wanting something and not showing proper gratitude for receiving it. He may have never wanted this update nor anything that was in it. With so many activities going on theres always a lot of people with wanted levels. I pull out of my apartment and start to drive down the street and a cop car always rams me while chasing someone else. Had one cop hit me from behind then he proceeds to yell at me "Get out of your car or I swear to god Im going to shoot you."

 

Not sure how R* could fix this but goddam its annoying.

Couple days later, really liking this update. Not only do a number of the challenges take skill, but they also take thought in terms of route, where's the best place to do it if you're doing something like the wheelie challenge, etc.) Couple additional thoughts:

 

1. When you do a challenge that you have done before, would be nice if it showed your previous best. Nothing major would be just nice to try to be able to compete against your previous score.

 

2. King of the Hill is just spawn killing. In a way it's absurdly over-the-top, but it ultimately becomes kind of tedious. I'd rather King of the Hill be teams somehow rather than individual, but not sure how that would work.

 

3. I don't see why one can't go passive during parachuting or other air events (checkpoints, flying upside down, etc.) Lets say you were going to do the flying under bridges challenge. After you went under the first bridge (or touched the first air checkpoint), you would then be passive. I haven't had as much of an issue as some, but I guess I don't see why people have to be forced to do a few of these updates not in passive. If Penned In is passive...

I just feel like the old formula wasn't actually broken. We don't need ten thousand different KINDS of events, we just need more of the ones we already had. More Survivals.. so many spots that would be great for one. More missions! Please God.. more missions. I don't need a million cars or 27 variants on the same idea. Just give us more of what we already had. Why is that so hard?

 

I haven't done a single one of these freeroam events and they're pissing me off to be honest, the constant stuff flashing all over the screen. Even when you turn it off, it's kinda irritating that everyone sods off to them every five seconds lol. It's driving me further away if anything. Not making me want to play more.
