stef_92
There is something I've been thinking about. So you know - some missions in GTA 3 can be locked. When you pass 'Last Requests' all Mafia related missions on Portland become unavailable and also when you kill Kenji in 'Waka-Gashira Whipeout' his missions became unavailable too. You know that Catalina has (kind of) a presence in the mission 'Kingdom Come'. But just like any other phone mission - it can be completed separately from the story line, even after 'The Exchange'. Now I guess most of you are starting to get what I'm about to say - if you can pass 'Kingdom Come' after 'The Exchange' then how could Catalina write the letter and set all the things up? Shouldn't 'Kingdom Come' become unavailable after completing 'The Exchange? And if not - then how can you explain it? I guess most of you would say that probably Catalina have met King Courtney before he starts giving you his missions and they have already 'prepared your destiny'. Then King Courtney starts giving Claude missions in order to get closer to him and make all things easier. BUT.. there is one big but. This seems kinda impossible because when you are about to pass 'Grand Theft Aero' and you meet Catalina and Miguel at the construction site she is surprised that you are still alive. She says "YOU! I left you pouring your heart out into the gutter". So what do you think about it? It would be good if we discuss this. Th3MaN1
It's inconcistency. GTA III's story wasn't bad if I may say so, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't a part of the game Rockstar cared that much about back then. What you mentioned cannot be explained in a way to give it sense.
DragonpokeZ
It's a videogame where if your car is shot a gazillion times, catches on fire, and it falls on the sea with you inside you will be able to get out of the hospital six hours later, and where you can steal an armored tank and destroy all three cities with it, get busted, and get out of prison six hours later, both things at the cost of only $100. Trying to make any sort of logical sense about this game will most likely end up melting your brain. =OG4life=
Doesn't the "I left you pouring your heart out into the gutter" refer to her shooting him and leaving him for dead in the intro? GTA_fear

TL;DR: GTA logic Actually 12 hours pass after you get wasted/busted and it costs $1000 in GTA 3, though in other GTA games it costs only $100 to get out of hospital/jail. But yeah, you are right, this is GTA logic and there isn't any way to lose at this game. You can replay failed missions, get wasted and busted an unlimited amount of times and still be able to complete game! EDIT: Forgot to mention something that also doesn't make sense to me, but how when you get out of jail, your health is restored to full? I think it should have stayed the same prior you got busted, though the only problem would be if you got busted with low health, that would mean you would get wasted pretty soon as well. EDIT 2: On topic, I never thought of that but then again, I always do missions in order, with The Exchange being last thing for 100%. Prison healthcare? Or maybe Claude isn't let out of jail but instead escapes and takes some medical supplies with him. Or maybe the GTA god breaks him out of prison and restores his health just cause. Or maybe Rockstar did it so that you wouldn't be wasted within a fraction of a minute from when you got out of prison. Like I said, GTA logic
GTAGuy1995
That's what I also said, to not get wasted immediately after being released from prison.
GreenOnions
Wow, good catch! It's funny, even though I do try to put off "Kingdom Come" until pretty much the last set of Asuka missions, (because do I really need another goddamned gang coming after me at that point?) it never would have occurred to me that I could just ignore it and go straight through to the endgame. Maybe King Courtney just figured, 'Well, I've still got all of these vans full of crazy drugged up skinhead suicide bombers, so...why let them go to waste?'...Honestly, I've got nothing. BlackSnow176
Hypothetically, the car and the letter for Claude could've been there for a very long time before he got there. Even with Catalina dead, her trap was still active, and her men were/are still after Claude. Perhaps King Courtney viewed Claude as a thread and was after him as well (thus teaming with Catalina). It makes perfect sense in my opinion What doesn't make sense is the ability to replay the phone missions after you pass them Edited September 14, 2015 by BlackSnow176 Jeansowaty
DragonpokeZ
Bling-Bling Scramble and Turismo are both races, so those make sense. As for Rigged to Blow, it could be that someone really hates D-Ice and keeps on rigging his car over and over again Platybus and NTAuthority

Helegad
Catalina seems surprised to see Claude alive and well at the end of Grand Theft Aero. I would place King Courtney's missions between then and The Exchange on the timeline. Edited September 20, 2015 by Helegad

stef_92
I've just read that in the Chain Game original post: 2. "Kingdom Come" In the PC Version 1.0 game this mission won't become available until both "Gangcar Round-Up" and "Grand Theft Aero" are completed whereas in the V 1.1 Patch this mission is available right after completing "Gangcar Round-Up", no matter whether "Grand Theft Aero" was passed or not. So.. it seems that originally Kingdom Come was meant to be unlocked after passing Grand THeft Aero when Catalina finds out that Claude is still alive. Trying to emulate the gangsta life to seem tough and sh*t? AKA he's wanksta Well I have a reason. You know you got to drive to Saint Marks? And you know that the Mafia are.. you know.. still hating you? Well in this mission EVERY gang hate is disabled. So now I could replay the mission and just walk past LC, rockstar had mercy to atleast add a mission where you can explore without hiding like a outcast. ''You're gonna have to hide... like an outcast..'' Sam (unspecified lastname) in Mafia The City of Lost Heaven in final mission Back on topic, its a videogame. This game coulda even just make you kill a dozen of people without mercy carjack cars with just trying to open car door twice and infinite lives. Oh that happened sorry. And if this aint true, I agree with the ''prepare destiny'' thing. He probably has such a nice car because he stole it from the streets or someone else stole it for him. He probably didn't have the money to buy one anyway. Evil empire
Kingdom come just wasn't scripted to become unavailable after The exchange. Concerning Rigged to blow the mission would have been deadly boring with a slow car like a mañana. You can replay this mission so you don't get too bored after the 100% completion and because it's probably the D-Ice mission the players like the most.
