King Vercetti
I'm not a huge Twitter/Instagram user, but all I'm aware of was the pic of Fonteno wearing the mocap suit. I don't think he ever uttered those words, and if he did, I'm pretty sure R* would have been so far up his ass he wouldn't be able to say his lines in the same voice ever again. CarlitoDorito
Shawn fonteno said they were making a DLC in a video, an interview from a while back. When asked what he's doing next he said he's making a DLC, a single player DLC, which was 'real big'. He said that his work there is focused on getting it done. The pic of him in the mocap suit too. It's possible he's a big troll. Or everyone has over reacted. It may have been cancelled, although the mocap pic was recent. So trollness or over reaction are more likely. Unless it was cancelled in the last few months, in which case, death to rockstar. If rockstar announce one at some point in the future, the whole internet will be left with red faces then that's gonna cause a war like never before. What have you done rockstar? Does Dan Houser have no soul?! This is quite funny. Edited September 13, 2015 by CarlitoDorito gunziness, King Vercetti and Hybrid_Punk
fefenc
Fonteno dubbed the worst character from the series, can't take him seriously (not disrespecting the VA, but the character was poorly written). That's it friends, the GTA series we used to know that were based on CRIME and a well written story is officially dead, a sad day for the adults GTA fans. We fought hard, but the cancer called GTA Online managed to kill it. Every GTA pedotuber "helped" the destruction of the GTA franchise. Rest in peace GTA Franchise, you'll be remembered, now we can expect the other GTAs being made like COD games with a shoddy singleplayer campaign only to justify the online mode which will get ALL the attention from the devs and knowing the nowadays UbiStar, they'll make GTA VI an always online game. Choco Taco
REMEMBER SHAWN FONTENO: "Were working on the DLC right now, it's gonna be massive" Provide proof or gtfo, honestly. I have trouble believing half of the people in this section when it comes to things like this. Sounds like something he never even said. 6:25 Hybrid_Punk and cremefraiche
Hybrid_Punk
I'm not surprised. They never hinted towards an SP DLC to begin with. Yes they did. Is everybody forgetting this from the Spring Update message on the Newswire last year? "And later this year, look for even more exciting additions to both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V, including more holiday-themed updates, some very exciting Story Mode DLC, and much more." Here's the link to the ariticle if you don't believe me. http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52217/Grand-Theft-Auto-Online-Spring-Updates Edited September 13, 2015 by TheRealCMPUNKFan Humzz, R3CON, Nameless Foot Soldier and 2 others
Modojo
Even though R* stated that they're supporting GTAO 100%, it doesn't mean that SP DLC is completely canceled. If anything, it's either put on hiatus for a few years (god forbid that happens) or they're simply delaying it until next year. dyspoid
It doesn't make sense to me that the entire team would be devoted to GTAO. I love SP, but I do also enjoy occasional Online time. The thing I don't get is that the R* team are experienced, talented and professional game designers. How many of them are really even involved in online? The jobs online are not as complicated as story missions, and the cars and guns that are added periodically cannot honestly take that much time. Aside from heists, would a power team like R* North even be happy producing it? Hybrid_Punk

They announced they had big plans for it in 2014. 2014 came and went. It's 2015 and you're saying they're going to delay it til 2016 or 2017? Honestly, who the f*ck will care then? I know I won't. It's done, to me this is just saying that there will be no SP DLC and if there ever is one I doubt I'll care. If I upgrade my copy it'll be to PC and that will have enough goodies and fixes, so much that an SP DLC won't even matter. LazyGator
GTA V—and likely the entire series—has obviously been murdered by GTA Online. The popularity of the multiplayer platform has made Rockstar realize how lucrative cashing in on disgruntled, ever-grinding and penniless players via piss-poor, unrewarding missions as a cause and tempting micro-transactions as an effect could be. Yes, what I'm saying is that you, GTA community, have killed GTA V. You are the reason there will be no story DLC, because you have succumbed to Rockstar's temptation and contributed to the success of their new, greed-filled venture. You, GTA community, have killed Grand Theft Auto. Edited September 13, 2015 by LazyGator Ron_vs_Wade and Maibatsu545
Choco Taco
Maybe the reason they're all working on online is because the DLC is finished. Maybe the DLC will be for current-gen only and they're just waiting for the install base to grow before releasing it. Maybe by making us think there will be no DLC, we'll be so happy when they finally announce it that we won't be so upset that last-gen won't get it. At least it exists, right? Just throwing out crazy ideas. King Vercetti, burger_mike, Dangerous and sad and 3 others

I said MOST and by far MOST people liked it as I said Forums Reddit(which is btw. mostly positive) and others cannot speak for a number, alone the fact many people bought it 2 or even 3 times implies they liked it, these "sources" you are offering aren't numeric, there could be 100 people who did not like GTA V on the GTA Forums here...but that doesn't change anything because the fan and playerbase is immense and way bigger than this vocal minority. Also regarding it only beeing newcomers, thats why I listed Metacritic Reviews and Amazon Reviews, most of these people are definately NOT newcomers but fans of the whole series. slimeball supreme
I hate everyone's thought process at the moment. Yes, R* have been focusing on Online DLC. Does this spell the end of the R* we once knew? NO. It's been two years, a relatively short time. R* is focusing on a cheap and money making venture. It isn't difficult to see the positives and negatives. Maybe the DLC was canned because it was too expensive? And don't give me any 'but it made so much money' bullsh*t. Do you think that the majority of that cash is going to game budgets? That's not how companies work. They source it to investors, wages, taxes and all this other corporate stuff or they save it for when this does the rounds again. They're not going to give that high of a budget to a DLC, but don't worry, they will with VI. Rockstar isn't AIDs, or turning into Ubisoft/EA/Both on good days, or just a bad company now. It's just focusing on cost effective ways to make cash now. At least we're getting free content now, stop being ungrateful. Maybe ungrateful isn't the right way to phrase it, but it's probably the case. You guys keep bitching about expensive and unreliable sources of income. The IV DLCs weren't that successful, remember? So R* probably doesn't want a redo of this, which is why they're turning out Online packs. Hell, even if there is a SP DLC, you guys will still moan about it. f*cking stop.
