Geralt of Rivia
on top of that, gas is high as f*ck too. ???????????? Where do you live!? Gas is cheap as f*ck now. I can fill up in less than $20 when it would take $25 just months ago.
Flachbau
Well im glad that yall have 200-300 dollars to spend on a new gen console and 60 for a new game. Cause where im from money doesn't grow on trees. Sell your current console and copy of the game. You seem to be under the impression that selling your console and game is going to give you enough money to upgrade.. I already sold my sh*t and got $150. Put it all into a PC I wanted to upgrade and am now running GTA V with sub-25FPS and stuttering like hell in game. Gnocchi Flip Flops

You should have dont some research before buying into that.
Flachbau
I did do research. I'm not exactly an idiot when it comes to PCs. I didn't buy a PC for $150. If you read properly, I upgraded it and used leftover parts I had as well.
A.O.D.88
I have to say that PS4 and Xbox One are pretty doggone affordable! I mean come on, the PS4 is an absolute beast when you factor in the power you are getting for that price. I mean some for PC gamers, they have to pay the entire price of a PS4 just for an overclocked i7, just for the doggone CPU alone!! So I reckon that yeah, darn tootin you are a getting a fair price for Next-Gen consoles. UltraGizmo64 and theGTAking101

Flachbau
If you're buying an unlocked i7 just for GTA V, that's already a mistake. Just buy a beastly Core i5, or you could even get an unlocked i5 model and it will be just as great as an i7. UltraGizmo64

You know what I agree with you there gunslinger. This current generation will not last nearly as long as last gen because of the unique architectures of the old ps3's, ya know that doggone "cell" processor. Once them good ole souped up devs started toyin and gettin down to the nitty gritty of the cell, they were able extract and push the power of that darn thing to its absolute outer limits, why it lasted darn near 10 years! PS4 and Xbone are just standard x86 systems and will need good ole fashion upgradin in another 5 years or so.

And btw. GTA V is one of the most demanding games in terms of CPU usage.

Flachbau
If you have an overclocked Core i5 with a 980 Ti, then I don't see why you'd have any problems running at 4K. Sure, you probably wont get 60FPS constant, but it'll be absolutely fine.

Normally with any other game I would agree with you and Xenoxx but GTA V is one the most demanding and taxing games out there for PC. It needs that extra lil bit of processing beef. They just didn't want to. Well considering those cars have some customization of interiors etc. they would have spent not necessary work on it. PS3 and XBOX360 are different systems, and the programming on them is DIFFERENT therefor porting them would have taken time... The good about PC PS4 and XBOX ONE is that they are pretty damn close when it comes to their architecture, aswell as software development for them. So R* can simultaniously release Updates for all three without having to port the Updates around everytime, thats one of the reasons Heists(which were finished in November last year) took 5 more months to release, because of the optimization for Last Gen consoles. Pedinhuh
Are Intel's i5 and i7 still the common choice in processing tech nowadays? I've been out of this scene since 2010, my laptop has an i5 and my desktop has an i3 and both of them acquired in 2010. Damn, it thought these types of processors were old already

Unlocked i5 models with a decent GPU can run GTA V fairly well without any lags. Also, ditching your old gen consoles just because GTA V won't get any updates is ridiculous. There are tons of other games that are being developed for PS3 and X360. If you want to buy a decent PC setup, save some bucks. Don't sell your old console for meager amounts. Choco Taco
What part of "no more updates for old gen" is so hard for people to understand? They didn't say "no more updates EXCEPT", they said "NO MORE" Since it went over your head, let me clear things up... I was pointing out that the last-gen consoles could handle a few more added cars. The reason they're not included isn't due to technical limitations - it's because Rockstar didn't want to add them. You understand now? dtsmucker and StangOne50
