Gnocchi Flip Flops
I'm just wondering. If I ever were to get a current-gen copy of V, which console would it be best to get it on? Xbox One or PS4? Also, since I'm a PS3 player, if I bought it on Xbox One would I still be allowed to transfer everything AND get returning player bonuses? Just wondering. And bonus question: Are there really any outstanding features compared to the last-gen copy outside of the editor and graphics?

And bonus question: Are there really any outstanding features compared to the last-gen copy outside of the editor and graphics? I would highly recommend PC, but if you like consoles more, i'd say you go with PS4 since the graphics in general are loads better compared to Xbox One (so far !). (! I heard that Xbox One will get some kind of software boost, and one additional core, making graphics better.) www.dualshockers.com/2015/03/04/directx-12-will-boost-xbox-ones-cpu-by-up-to-20-according-to-phil-spencer/ No outstanding features but graphics and the editor i noticed after getting the PC copy early 2015. I think everything last-gen had was also released on current-gen and PC. EDIT: Yes, if you go with Xbox One, PC or PS4 now, you will be able to transfer your data, about returning player bonuses i don't know. As long as you link your Xbox gamer tag to your social club you'll get the exclusive things. You get a few messages after Franklin's first mission. Nothing really outstanding, graphics are better, it plays smoother. The animal photography is just a collectable and the murder mystery kind of is too. Stock car races are ok and you actually get a reward the map is more populated, quite heavily at times. You can start without weapons too. Peds are less sensitive, so you wouldn't get quite as many wanted levels standing near them. Edited September 18, 2015 by CarlitoDorito
Gnocchi Flip Flops
Okay, thanks for the help people. But I still ain't interested at the moment. I got 60 bucks and I guess I'll wait til we get something groundbreaking via DLC.
Geralt of Rivia
If you're gonna be that stupid, I'm gonna call you on it. You sound like XenoxX right now when he argued with a mod: "It is my duty to educate people, I'm entitled..." It's not your duty to do sh*t and you're not entitled to anything, especially acting like a pompous little ass. It's not my duty. I just do it because I feel like it. And in the back of my mind, there's hope that those special kind of idiots will stop being idiots. Maybe delusional is a better word? As for your other question; the only difference between the One and PS4 version is a little bit of grass. TCA
So then Rockstar kind of lied to us then. They said in the beginning when they released (and before as well) GTA V they would never stop supporting it. But as soon as the next-gen and PC versions hit they retract what they said? So the entire focus is now going to be on the current gen then eh? Well I can't help but feel like Rockstar is mocking us. At the time yes. But you have to understand it's probably something they didn't want to do, but what other choice do they have? The technology in those systems are really dated and simply cannot handle what they want to do and direction they're planning on taking GTA online. Why the hell would you think otherwise. This situation makes last-gen gamers want to trade up and to do so they have to buy V AGAIN which in return Rockstar makes MORE money. Oh yeah they anticipated it. Sonny_Black
King Vercetti
They absolutely knew and wanted to do it, but that shouldn't be treated like its a bad thing. No one HAS to buy it twice, and if you don't, you aren't missing out on much. Those that do want to can enjoy the better graphics and new online stuff but it's okay if you don't upgrade quite yet. Of course they were going to capitalize on the opportunity though. With that being said, they didn't have much choice but to release it twice. Stealthflight
About the transfer to xbox one, most go well but this spring ours did not. We had a rank 164 player on the 360 got erased ! We literally broke down and cried. A year of playing down the drain. the transfer failed and we had to start over to zero . Lost all cars, apartments everything. , Just sayin. . It took all summer to get 80 percent of vehicles and apartments back. Not saying might happen if you follow all directions but it happened to us. And that's what I did this summer Deleted character is currently rank 145 after grinding away heists and missions. When we did the next transfer for another character, we were sweating bullets but it went well. Trust me, its scary as sh*t cause a small handful of transfers were not 100 percent . Haha it doesn't matter to me. I'm only Rank 39 in GTA:Online. I've only got one apartment, an Oracle Massacro Sentinel XS Phoenix Elegy and Bobcat, and 78000 bucks. Not much, I know. I started playing back in 2013 but just got bored. I've picked it up recently but I honestly couldn't give any less of a damn if it all was taken from me... except for that Massacro. I remember spending 4 hours of my time just to earn enough money to buy it and paint it Ultra Blue with black Supa Gee rims. I love that car. Zeberpal
every time I launched GTAV on my PS3 once in a month or so, I should have waited for it being update. No more, oh yes, no more. dyspoid
Just out of curiosity, has anyone bought several copies of other GTA games? I'm about to buy another copy of IV because the CD has just about had it. Played it literally every single month since April 2008 and yeah, the wear and tear has shown. It take 10 minutes to load up the game now and sometimes parts of the map are unloaded unveiling a very unpleasant view of Blue Hell. I constantly have to reload just to get it right. I have EFLC for Xbox 360 and one copy of V for PS3. SA on Xbox 360 and III on PS2.

Jimbatron
The article is an interpretation (albeit with some good grounding) - the key word is "appears". It talks about updates and memory limitations, the example being freemode events with multiple different things going on at once. I don't think a possible SP expansion necessarily falls into this category - either because you could view it as a separate game (you could argue EFLC was), and it's just a swap out for the original story which would necessarily impact memory consumption. A SP expansion might come to some, all or none of the platforms. We don't know and won't know unless R* explicitly state so themselves.

PS4 version has more grass and the fancy Duel Shock 4 features but aside from that it's about the same as Xbox One. Of course, the PC version trumps them both if your PC can run it. Though technically it's not hard to run, it's just harder to run it at current gen equivalent graphics or higher while maintaining 60 FPS. You can very easily turn down the graphical settings and get a good framerate on lower end systems. Freemode Events in particular should have been much higher on the priority list than it ended up being IMO, especially considering they had them in Red Dead. But instead of focusing on that, we get "The Overpriced Clothing and Worthless Vanity Update" #400, with the occasional broken game mode or bug "fix" on the side for nearly TWO YEARS.
