To say Rockstar doesn't copy-paste in their terrain design is incorrect. EVERY game of this size has copy paste design, it's the only way a AAA scale game can be made. I know what you meant, that the map is very diverse and each area is unique and original, and you are right. But yeah, terrain, roads, all kinds of assets are reused throughout the game world. Interestingly, I have seen how they creatively hide the fact that they do this in some areas by using game design tricks to make it less noticeable. But if you go looking for examples, you'll quickly see how often the same assets are used. Some are minor and make perfect sense, like road markings obviously being used throughout the map. But some are a bit less noticeable at a glance, like many houses and buildings - especially in Los Santos - are the exact same structure but painted different colors, and perhaps flipped. It was a great journey. Just think about the great events in Vice City, where you would outrun the mafia as little fish. Think about San Andreas, where you gone from poor gangster to a real big deal. Remember IV, where we all learned what immigration means, and deep painful problems who keep getting worse. End it with V, where you retire from the action, pull one last job, and continue enjoying your future live. lol232 Posted September 15, 2015 Share Posted September 15, 2015 (edited) I can't believe how butthurt 7th gen players are about this, back in 6th gen you got the game on disc and if there were bugs, tough sh*t, you either hope+wait for the company to release a new version (i.e. Platinum Edition where some bugs are fixed) and pay full price just for the new version or play the game with some bugs. Now with late 7th people bitch how they're not getting extra cars, missions et cetera when for a whole year you were getting sh*t for free without paying a cent. YOU PAID FOR THE GAME YOU GOT AT LAUNCH, they never promised you extras but you still got them, you didn't pay a cent for these updates, don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. By the way, I like SP 7th gen version of the game, especially the release version (V 1.0) since it has a lot of fun bugs, but while they can add more cars and such, it'll make the game load longer and longer and you'll see a lot of performance issues eventually, IMO you shouldn't push the limit of hardware but always be slightly behind it. One thing I can say though, they can at least include updates that fix bugs and issues, fixing bugs they broke by other updates wouldn't melt the console at all. There is literally no reason for them not to do that, at least. No. Just bought a brand new PS2 Slim 3 months ago. You know, considering half the GTA Series was released on it (I, II, III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS). PS2 and PS3 in my case is the best Console(s) for gaming. PC is fine, if that's your thing, but I never played a single GTA on PC and I doubt I ever will. I played I and II for a brief 30 minutes on PC back in 2004, but other than that, I don't care for PC and PC is inferior for how many GTA's were released on it considering LCS and VCS isn't on there unless you use PPSSPP to emulate it. I only own 10 GTA's and some old school PS1 and PS2 Games and such, so there isn't really a point in updating, at least yet. My Backward Compatible PS3 plays 9 of the 10 GTA's I own (Excluding Chinatown Wars which I have for iOS). So I don't see a need to update to PS4, considering it only can play V at this time and as I said previously, V isn't anything I am interested in compared to previous GTA's. I like all of the games for different reasons, even the classic top down games. None of the games in the series are perfect by themselves, but as a whole, the series has given me a lifetime of happiness. I could do away with all other games for life as long as I can keep my GTA series. V makes me feel good because it is a lighter romp after the grey, slightly depressing undertones of IV (that's not a complaint), and Vice City will always make me feel like Crockett and Tubbs on one big adventure. I have learned to appreciate every game for what it has brought to the gaming world, and NOT what it has taken away. You don't miss out on something important on current updates, but i understand you. Giving bug fixes on last-gen consoles would be pretty nice anyways, if there are any now. They wouldn't of delayed V again and released them a year later, people would be so pissed off that the sales would've sucked. And we're lucky? The game launched on last-gen consoles and they handled it. My console hasn't f%cked up. I don't know what you're trying to start but it ain't working. People knew about PS4's 2013 release date, so why couldn't they just think for sometime and wait for the GTA game to come out for NG? But they decide to get it for their seventh generation consoles, and now start complaing they don't receive updates on an old piece of s**t. That year of wait could have been worth it.
