1.) you're comparing a $350 PC to a 360/PS3 which costs roughly around $80 these days.

 

2.) 30FPS? Bet you it wasn't locked. Now imagine if you spent that money on a PS4 or XB1 instead. I bet you the FPS would be much more stable without optimizing and installing mods, etc.

Also tell me about these warranties that these custom built $350 machines come with just in case something happens.

 

3.) Guess you didn't watch your own video you posted? He mentions two programs he used to optimize his GTA to get 60FPS. Also if you bothered to read into anything you post, his computer is overclocked meaning you kill your warrant right off the bat, and is an optimization.

 

4.) In this "potato masher" he's convieniently forgot to mention the cost of an operating system, which puts your potatoe masher realistically at about $450+

-On the reasoning of there being too much for old consoles to handle, why not just cut make cuts to content that's basically extraneous or fluff? I highly doubt its worthwhile to keep tennis (keep in mind I enjoyed the tennis quite a bit) or golf around. Also, I imagine they could save some space by cutting down on the clothes and variations of low performing vehicles available. Yea the customization is nice, but as it's a game and not a shopping simulator, aren't gameplay options more important?

You have a pool of available resources, like a glass of water.

 

Tennis is a glass of water, when you load tennis you pour it full of water and drink it.

When you jump from tennis into a Death Match, that's a new glass of water.

When you play a mission, that's a new glass, too.

Freeroam is also a glass of water.

 

Your PS3 is an 8 ounce glass of water. You can fill it to the brim and enjoy 8 cool refreshing ounces every time you load a lobby.

 

The PS4 is a 12 ounce glass. At this point, it only gets filled to 8 ounces. However, with the Freeroam update is now requiring a 12 ounce glass.

 

Your PS3 can't do it. You can throw away the tennis glass, but it doesn't matter because that's a whole other glass. It's not the free roam glass, it's the tennis glass.

 

And the free roam glass is a twelve.

Im not going to be a dummy and demand that R* keeps supporting dated consoles, but I will say their are usually more than one excuse that someone isn't buying a XB1 or PS4.

Rockstar did their best to keep the old consoles going, they even resorted to turning off all the options to not make the game look too jagged. When I reinstalled the game to mess about with the save editor it looked like I remeber it when I left it, but now it looks so damaged. There is just nothing left to be able to be put into the old consoles and if you believe that this is all about money you must be young and naive, all the money in the world would not enable you to add any new DLC to these old consoles as they came from the factory. Like many others have said, if you had saved up even a small amount each day since the release of GTA V on the newer consoles you'd be able to afford one by now. For those who are younger, you should not be on the game in the first place so would have no need to buy a new console and for those who are old enough, you should either have a full time or part time job to pay for it. I know some study too but there are means of getting what you want, personally I sold off many of my collectables to pay for my One because I wanted it that bad and if you truly wanted it that bad you would either sacrifice something you know you might be able to get again one day or you work hard to pay for it, moaning about not having it and saying its not fair is the speak of a toddler having a tantrum, no one is going to get it for you under normal circumstances. If you are angered at the fact this is not for the older consoles then you clearly do not care about this game enough to want to play the new modes, if you wanted the new modes and game types that bad you would do whatever you could to get it.

 

Work hard, buy it, play it.

You had 3 1/3 years to pool together some money for the X1/ PS4.

This is coming from a USD11.75 hr job I held for a year along with a very expensive legal battle and I still had enough after 8 months to pick up a PS4.

lol at anyone saying they're gonna jailbreak/jtag their PS3/360...You're getting into the game a little late and have no idea what you're getting into. Even if you exercise utmost diligence as I did you can only expect a year...year and a half tops before you get banned. If you do that with your main console then it becomes a bitch to reliably get online. Couple that with the fact that console modding isn't all its cracked up to be and it's not worth it...I haven't touched my CFW in ages.

It is false. You must spend AT LEAST DOUBLE, arguably triple to get comparable, especially improved graphics and make the system stable.

 

You're talking all the hardware as well as the cost of the O.S., plus the peripherals. And then you have to deal with bugs and updates and crashes much more frequently.

 

PC gaming is only for people with the 90's mindset who have lots of expendable cash and patience. (I've still got the 90's mindset, but the cost makes it a waste of time, endless chase, worthless endeavor)

 

 

The disconnect where people really argue with me and lose is when they show me how the games look on their $400 PC. .....

I was already going to be getting an Xbox One soon. I just don't trust them when they say this wasn't possible on last gen - they held back things like gun engravings and simple vehicles, so why would I believe what they say?

The vehicles you guys are talking about were always meant to be exclusive.

About the engraving and other new gen exclusive things...if you realy want them transfer.

Personaly i think they did a nice job... none of the things next gen had interested me even in the slightest exept maybe now those new freeroam activities.

If talking buisness, they actualy might now do it the right way...instead of simple assets game modes that are exclusive to new gen.
