I like the sound of these new modes, but I'm a bit worried. Most take place in free mode, the land of the d-nozzle glitchers and hackers. I just have a feeling Teen Wolf is going to be hiding under the map or some such nonsense.

Had R* not made it next-gen exclusive, this wouldn't have happened. Unless of course, you happen to be one of the R* employees, that is.

Hey, it your choice as I said. I wont blame you if you can't upgrade. There are more important things in life than video games that you can spend money on. But the fact that so many people can't accept that last Gen can't handle major updates is far too irritating. And the majority of mature players don't brag. But even if none of us are bitching and moaning, R* is rather devoid in dealing with hackers running rampant in GTA Online (which of course, is why I mainly go to Invite Only/Solo sessions nowadays), so that'd be another thing.

That's true. However, even if I do upgrade, the game itself is still overrun with hackers. My PC can run GTA V at minimum specs, and I don't want it to run at 60fps, just wanted to make it playable. As for PC itself, I have yet to see an Anti-Cheat being implemented, so Invite and Solo will have to do for the time being.

Regarding the update itself. I think it looks good. It should definitely give more stuff to do. The events sure do look like fun. They did say that people can customize which events appear in Free Mode. I wonder if that means that we might be able to customize other things when making our own games, like whether or not the cops are enabled. The Hunting the Beast game mode looks neat.

The only thing that I don't like about it is it is sorta going into the super natural realm. I think it is a little silly and doesn't fit with GTA. I feel that its weird having something like that, especially in the GTA universe. I always thought it to be more serious than the Saints Row universe. It is quite possible that everyone has to eat a peyote before playing that one. I don't want to see any twilight based sh*t in GTA if it isn't something that is a hallucination. If I just wanna kick back in Free Mode, I don't want to see people transforming into beasts in GTA. I'd rather see the person who is a beast look like their regular character running around like a retard if I am not participating in the event.

However, I hope that there are more events than what they mentioned. I sure hope that this means that animals will make an appearance. It would be cool to be able to hunt with other players in a hunting event, which works sorta like the hunting mission in Single Player.

 

On a side note.

Important message to all of the last gen players: You should be glad you are not getting the DLC. If you got the DLC, your game would play like sh*t. You would have bad FPS, and probably have an unstable game.

 

Let me explain in a more technical manner. I believe that the last gen version is 32 bit as the last gen consoles are also 32 bit. This is also a limiting factor on how big the game can be. There are less bits to be used for various things. For example, object ID's. Due to there being less bits to assign to object id's, there can't be as many objects in last gen. I am willing to bet that they are approaching the limits that the game can handle as a 32 bit game. However, current gen and PC are 64 bit. So the game can have a lot more stuff in memory due to that.

 

(Regardless, I feel that Rockstar should make the last gen version cheaper than current gen and PC. Whether you buy last gen, current gen, or PC today, it still costs $60.)

Who the hell plays GTA5 for the cars?It's called Grand Theft Auto for a reason.. Named after a car crime.This really does have to be carefully explained to people rather a lot on here doesn't it?

It's a name. GTAV has sh*tty driving mechanics and low poly af cars with copy pasted assets, yet so many kiddies treat it like Gran Turismo. GTA isn't about cars or shooting it's about a big open world doing random shallow activities and that's what rockstar need to focus on.

For those of you wondering "what about any new vehicles", Maybe there will be some new vehicles but they possibly don't want to say it out just yet, maybe Funmw2's source may not be completely wrong, just remember to not overlook details from a few weeks ago, remember after IGG2 was released, the new "LOW update" was mentioned in entry data and kept getting updated over time, this is the next update so maybe, just maybe there will be some new vehicles, there is a reason why this game is called Grand Theft "Auto"

I'm pretty sure that the HVY in the pic is not a Pegasus vehicle. It's likely the "package" that needs to be stopped by any means nessasary before reaching it's destination.

I'm so happy that LG is no longer supported. Sorry to the people who still play on it, but at this point you are just living in the past. You can't expect a modern game to keep getting more features on 10-year old hardware. I think the newer consoles will get bigger and more unique updates/dlcs now LG isn't holding it back anymore.
