You're not being blackmailed (do you actually know what that is?). The only one forcing us to buy a new console and rebuy GTA is ourselves.

 

Important content is being withheld, the game is incomplete. I won't pretend I'm happy about it.

 

 

 

 

 

We all got the game that was advertised.

 

I could just say "no we didn't", and then it would be followed by "yes we did". Kind of pointless right?

 

I don't feel like we did, and I think it's pretty questionable to just ditch all the day one players like that. I don't expect my mind will be changed any time soon.

 

 

It would indeed be pointless saying "no we did not" because the simple fact is we did. Day one players are not being ditched (I'd say that most the players I encounter on the Xbox One are long term players who played on the 360 or PS3) but there has to come a time when the 360 and PS3 are no longer a viable option for any games developer. Sad fact of progress right there.

 

 

 

They shouldn't have bothered releasing the game on those consoles if they weren't going to release it in full. My mind is made up, and I can see yours is too, so I don't think this argument is going anywhere.

So many last gen players bitching, I purchased the game for 360 on day one then I upgraded to xbox one because I knew the last gen wouldn't be able to handle the future updates. If you think theres no limitations to what games on 360/ps3 then you are retarded, stop moaning you got the game that you purchased and you're not being ripped off. Either upgrade or continue to play the game that you paid for on 360/ps3!

As incredible as that explosive - rounds Annihilator looked, there's a good chance it won't have them. Plus even if it did, you know, what good did it do for the Savage? It can get kills yeah, but is ridiculously vulnerable.

 

On a side note, the fact that last gen isn't getting this stuff doesn't sit well with me at all. And I can't be written off as a last gen whiner since I'm getting a One soon anyway. I just don't buy into the "console limitations" rubbish, and I think it's basically spitting in the faces of everyone who bought the game day one.

 

 

Like I said earlier, I am/was already going to get an Xbox One in about a month or two. So you can keep insulting me all you want, I really don't care.

Other things like the Dodo, ill gotten gains gun engravings, etc. were exclusive to current gen consoles. Things that clearly were possible on the older ones. That's why I'm doubtful that there was no way they could've got this to work.

Pointless arguing with everyone about this anyway. I'll be getting a One soon anyway, and will probably enjoy the new update (if it's any good). I do feel like last gen players have been given a pretty raw deal though. But that's my opinion, it is what it is, and it's unlikely to change.

The update would break last gen. You said you are moving to next gen soon so be patient, and face up to the fact that last gen is pretty much done. It'd happen sooner or later.

Well, I hate Online (not just GTA but multiplayer gaming in general) but the Editor will make this one awesome update. And huzzah! GTA Online players are finally gonna get something us singleplayer... players? had from the very start! No loading screens! WHOOO! The update would break last gen. You said you are moving to next gen soon so be patient, and face up to the fact that last gen is pretty much done. It'd happen sooner or later. to add to this the lag is horrible the draw distance if you want to call it that was bad, modders everywhere you all who wanted gta IV multiplayer you got it on LG

I couldn't care less about this event, since I'm on PS3 and it doesn't bother me that we're not getting it. I think last gen can handle it, but R* felt the "need" to give next gen and PC users something different, since they didn't get many extras from the start.

 

I won't upgrade yet, give us SP DLC and I'll buy the exact same game for PS4. Till then, I'll keep playing on PS3.

So only now you are upgrading to 8th gen 2 years after the game came out. You should count yourself lucky R* released the game on sh*tty hardware that you already had instead of "forcing" you to upgrade at least 2 years earlier when the PS4/Xbone launched.

 

Be grateful you got the game instead of acting like an entitled bitch about content that they never AT ALL promised would be released.

R* even released Heists on Last gen to show loyalty to their fanbase as that was the last bit of content they "owed" lastgen players; and even then they released 2 more updates that they could have not bothered with.

 

There is a difference between the "full game" and additional content added to the "full game" and it seems your dizzy brain doesn't know the difference.

Hey, all you last gen NON adopters! STFU! I want my game upgraded! I paid for it twice, I deserve more than you! Stop crying about what you didn't get. R* is giving you everything....everything your system can handle that is. It's not their fault that there are limitations and it is stupid to act like you are being robbed of something. These game modes require more processing to differentiate between who is taking part in the match and who is not, which is too much for last gen. There is no reason to believe that you will not be able to get updates ever again, just not the real important ones.

After reading the majority of the bitching on this thread, I'll pick a main point to focus on.

 

People are constantly saying they didn't get the game Rockstar promised them. I want those people to point out things Rockstar said/showed in trailers that we did not receive in GTA 5 on launch day. Content that was cut and hasn't been added back into the game doesn't count as things change during the development. I'll give an example. which would be the Hydra shown in the second trailer.

 

If soooooo many things were really cut and turned into future and we got an incomplete game, this should be an absolute breeze for you people who constantly complain.

 

Also on a similar note, lets think of all the extra things added into the game that we were never promised but we got anyway. Its essentially every DLC update except for heists.

This is definitley a step in the right direction and a sign of what we've asked for from the beginning to skip loading times and piss poor matchmaking - free mode to take a step up activity wise.

 

The games seem to be fairly creative and imaginative (maybe a few drugs involved during the brainstorming process), and could be fun, but for me they appear to be a little too far-fetched and complicated.

 

The one with the changing circle comes to mind, and the beast hunting one.

 

Why not just keep things simple? Exchange the beast for cops n crooks, make the changing circle an elimination circuit race where the last person on each lap is eliminated. Certain games seem a bit too complex and, well, a bit weird to be honest.

 

As for the 'top speed' and 'causing most destruction', these ones seem like a 'running out of ideas' after thought and could have done with a bit more complexity.

 

 

So a step in the right direction for sure, but I think more careful thought into the games themselves could have perfected this. I would like to see games encouraging robbery sprees, rampages, cops n crooks, a different twist to racing personally.

Moving on, and on a more positive note, I like the look of those explosive rounds on the Annihilator. It also looks like a pretty big update this time round, so hopefully it's good. This whole "no loading" stuff sounds off to me though, there's bound to be some kind of catch. Looks like it could be good, but it's hard to look forward to it for me - I'll be getting it next month, so it'll be best to just put in the back of my mind.

 

Could be worse I guess, I mean all the last gen players have sadly been left behind, so at least I'll be getting the update at some point.
