The GTA Online Freemode Events Update September 15th

I think the IGN video mentioned no cops during events

 

I think I've already got the destruction one figured, just need to crash my Luxor into spawned buzzards a few times...

He needs no more coffee, as it is the truth. Insurance is still in effect in the gamemode. The paragraph posted above is directly from one of the interviews about the update.

 

What this is ladys and gentlemen, is the same thing as the purple "Distract Cops" that Lester gives, what is different is that you are competing against te entire lobby instead of just mindlessly blowing stuff up for whatever Lester pays.

 

Keep in mind that all these new game types are specific to freeroam for a reason, and will most likely abide by all the same rules that freeroam has currently. Don't expect cops or insurance to ever go away in freemode.

 

 

They are going to have to tame the cops if they expect these new type Freeroam events to be popular. Stuff like King of the hill and penned in will be obnoxious to play if you have to battle the cops and other players. Can you imagine trying to stay in a shrinking bubble with 6 cop cars ramming you and other players? It would be too frustrating and people would give up after one or two times.

As I expect it to. I don't see these new events to be very popular after thr first few weeks.

Let's hope the true fans enjoy them.

If they can keep it interesting and the payout worth the effort, people will play it a lot. If it doesnt even pay for the ammo used to participate, than it will die a quick death.

 

Side Note: Roughly 60 hours till DLC!!

We will. I in particular am looking forward to the vehicle based ones. Longest wheelie, biggest jump, stay in the circle, etc. I'm sure King of the Hill will be very popular, as it sounds like they just made freeroam wars worth while.

I just hope Rockstar fixes the issue on the Social Club Editor page. Right now it loads the same few videos over and over and over. In anticipation of getting the editor I have tried watching videos people made for inspiration but after 10 - 15 videos when you scroll down, its just mostly the same videos loading. Very frustrating and chips away a little at the hype.

Are you sure that there are no loading times/screens? Its GTA... We all know how f*cking slow it is.

The new freemode events will be like the current FM events. There is no loading screen it just happens.

It's sad but true that games developers have to look to the future. They can only put so much stuff on an 8 year old console.

Then I'm not so sure they should have released the game on those consoles to be honest. At the very least, they shouldn't have marketed it as the full game, since that's not what we got.

GTA V was and is a full game.

GTAOnline is and always has been a different game. FFS....

Do you guys think now that there's an update that adds in freemode events, the OTHER freemode events will actually work again?

 

The stupid armored trucks have been missing for months it seems. Same with distract the cops, destroy the plane, hell has anyone even assassinated a lester target recently? Or picked up a crate?

 

 

I hope these new events can be triggered manually, because if it's server side, we're not going to be able to play any of them -_-

Oh God.. someone pull this leech off and stick them in the furnace. This person admits that they don't care about PLAYING the game but only care about buying sh*t... it's people like this that are making developers consider preorder bonuses and stupid season pass shi*
