The GTA Online Freemode Events Update September 15th

Im intrigued by the "customized" part. Seeing as how these freemode events can be quite violent, they will certainly bring the attention of cops. This alone seems like it would completely ruin the events. So Im hoping there is a turn off cops customization. Hell, this alone will make the update awesome.

From what IGN said in their hands on discussion video, the cops weren't a problem in those events.

I'm so happy that LG is no longer supported. Sorry to the people who still play on it, but at this point you are just living in the past. You can't expect a modern game to keep getting more features on 10-year old hardware. I think the newer consoles will get bigger and more unique updates/dlcs now LG isn't holding it back anymore.

I'm glad you're happy but not many people are 'fortunate' enough to have their parents buy the newest tech for them. Being a college student I am not really in a financial situation where I can throw out money for a new games console, I am not mad at Rockstar or anything as it is understandable tough people like you are annoying.

 

If we're on a topic of last gen not being supported it wouldn't be a bad idea though it should still be somewhat supported, since this is update is about freeroam I am hoping for animals and more parked vehicles like the forklift and the rest of the unused vehicles. However there are things that could be added to last gen like the adversary modes, clothes and vehicles, but it isn't but just like the collectors edition vehicles which I have spend my hard earned £150 on is just another technique to get more people to buy the same game again on a different console.

Ah man that sucks.. as much as I'd like to keep playing GTAO there are other things the money for a new console need to go to. I've been having too much fun building and fixing up my car and I think I'd rather spend that money doing something outside that's productive. 2x heists kind of just burnt me out anyhow.. definitely got my money's worth though being that I played since launch. RIP LG.

It's called Grand Theft Auto for a reason.. Named after a car crime.This really does have to be carefully explained to people rather a lot on here doesn't it?

It's a name. GTAV has sh*tty driving mechanics and low poly af cars with copy pasted assets, yet so many kiddies treat it like Gran Turismo. GTA isn't about cars or shooting it's about a big open world doing random shallow activities and that's what rockstar need to focus on.

Well, I hate Online (not just GTA but multiplayer gaming in general) but the Editor will make this one awesome update. And huzzah! GTA Online players are finally gonna get something us singleplayer... players? had from the very start! No loading screens! WHOOO! Now if they somehow manage to implement a pause button onto a multiplayer game I might actually give a damn about Online. /bitter rant is bitter and pointless

Right now the only things that could tempt me back to playing GTAO full time would be new heists or a casino. For me heists was what GTAO should have been all about. How many of us would trade this new free mode stuff for two new heists? I would.

With the video editor, we might need a news crew to film all the action of the new free mode activities. BTW, The pic of the custom insurgent, in the video they showed the same truck but it was the usual green, in the photo they show a similar setup with a custom Insurgent. Is it possible that it actually was a leak for customizable Pegasus vehicles? Can't wait to find out. This may go down as the best update yet. Even without cars, clothes, ...etc added.

I'm pretty sure that the HVY in the pic is not a Pegasus vehicle. It's likely the "package" that needs to be stopped by any means nessasary before reaching it's destination.

Last generation consoles have reached their limit. It's very unreasonable to get upset at Rockstar, it's out of their hands. Last generation is lucky to have gotten the amount of DLC content it got.

I understand people on last gen are upset but do you think technology stands still. it changes and improves at a rapid speed. You cant expect your car from the 1980's to take parts for a car that was manufactured this year. You need to take the next step and save up for a current gen system.

------ To the last Gen'ers complaining about being left out, My 1 year old phone is already out of date. There are tons of new features coming out that my phone cant do. There are apps that wont be able to do the same as the new phone. It sucks balls, but I understand thats how it works. The ONLY update Rockstar owed anyone was Heists. Everything else is a bonus. Im not going to be an ass and ridicule your inability to purchase the new gen but you gotta be mature about the situation and understand that theres only so much that last gen can handle. They certainly have. Ive no doubt the processors of the 360 or ps3 could handle a diminished gameplay experience, however the biggest factor by far has got to be 512mb shared system/graphic memory. There's only so much can be swapped in and out of memory at a time and I'm quite shocked they managed to get the game working at all. If ps3s and 360s had more ram it might have been possible but now it's time for current gen to be used to their capacity.

Then I'm not so sure they should have released the game on those consoles to be honest. At the very least, they shouldn't have marketed it as the full game, since that's not what we got.

 

Last gen users need a thread to cry in, cuz the rest of us don't care.

 

As far as the coming update, there is nothing R* can do to make me like free mode. I will never enjoy the company of the average person that plays this game. The real world would be a better place if most of you weren't in it.
