reeven
I find out why GTA V crash on Windows 10 PRO 64, and was perfectly working on Win 7 64. Little info: first system: 8350 fx 4.2ghz, 16gb, 280x catalyst 15.7, 15.7.1, 15.8 , samsung ssd, GTA V installed on Western digital 1TB my passport slim external 1.8 inch 5400 rpm.( this external hdd has about 89mb in hdtach) second: intel 3770k, 16gb, intel ssd, nvidia GTX 690 GTA V installed on Western digital 1TB my passport slim external 1.8 inch 5400 rpm third: intel i7 920, 16gb, adata ssd, r9 290 GTA V installed on Western digital 1TB my passport slim external 1.8 inch 5400 rpm this is the error: Faulting application name: GTA5.exe Faulting module name: GTA5.exe Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000000000141ccdc Faulting process id: 0x13e8 Faulting application start time: 0x01d0e8c9d841924c Faulting application path: G:\Jocuri\Grand Theft Auto V\GTA5.exe Faulting module path: G:\Jocuri\Grand Theft Auto V\GTA5.exe Report Id: 59e18300-d098-40e2-8af3-31e182011440 I could play 5 minutes, or 30 minutes, or an hour, then image freeze, sound remain on for about 1 minute after, then sound off, gta V encounter an error message appear and so on. The crashes appear often if i tried to do an mission. FIX for all 3 sistems, wd 1TB 1.8" is not powerfull enough for this game with TEXTURES to VERY HIGH, i put textures to HIGH, game not freeze for about 3 days not. Before that it freeze for maybe 30 times in 5 hours, after every freeze SAVE was broken, must restart PC to play again. Before this fix i tried everything, reinstall 20 times, update mainboard bios, stop my overclock, tried 15.6 beta driver on ati , and others on nvidia 690, i tough that Win10 and gpu drivers is the culprit. CONCLUSION-THIS external hdd is not powerfully enough to sustain textures set to VERY HIGH.( it has 8mb buffer, 5400 speed)
