Kal74
Okay, I have an internet connection and I'm logged into the PS network but the BAWSAQ index still doesn't work. What are the steps for getting it working? Having same issue.. cept with the PC version..I know for a fact I am logged in to Social Club.. I can't do a lester mission because the stock I need is on the BAWSAQ and I have reloaded, logged off and back in..Tried typing the URL in the game browser www.bawsaq.com.. tried cycling between toons, advancing the clock a few days, tried switching between LCN and Bawsaq and nothing works..It seems like it works at random.. I know its not down because it is showing up on the rockstar website.. so absolutely no clue what the issue is.. FPU___
I can't actually access socialclub.rockstargames.com with my PS4. The link times out. Other than that the internet is working fine.
Spuds725
The error (from what I have read)- is that the game is unable to get a connection to the Bawsaq for whatever reason (no internet connection is one reason)-- but it could be that your router is blocking the traffic. Have you guys tried forwarding all the recommended ports for GTA V on your router to your console/PC -- to do this the console/pc should have a static IP address on your internal network. The ports for GTA V are as follows: PC-- TCP 80, 443 UDP 6672, 61455 thru 61458 PS3-- TCP/UDP 5223, 3478, 3479, 3658, 6672, 61455 thru 61458 PS4-- TCP/UDP 80, 443, 1935, 3478-3480, 6672, 61455 thru 61458 Xbox 360 -- TCP/UDP 3074, 6672, 61455 thru 61458 Xbox One -- TCP/UDP 53, 80, 88, 500, 3074, 3544, 4500, 6672, 61455 thru 61458 You could try forwarding the indicated ports above (if you don't know what ports are-- they are essentially specifically allowed holes in your routers firewall). If you can-- try temporarily disabling your routers firewall and/or putting your console/PC's IP address in your routers DMZ (if it has one)... this will effectively put your console/pc outside your firewall and if you are having connection issues this may fix it--- The example above is for troubleshooting purposes only-- I do not recommend keeping your PC/Console outside your firewall permanently-- you should forward the indicated ports. If you do not know how to forward ports-- this site will walk you through it-- you will need your routers password-- the site will give your routers default password that will only work if the routers password has never changed.... (note the site does have a few ads that it will try to sell you this service) http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/ Follow the link-- find you router brand and click on it-- then click on your model.... On the page that opens click on the game you want to forward the ports in... You will have to scroll way down the page-- the games are listed alphabetically--- see below where I copied/pasted. After you click on the game, the site will dispay screen captures of your router and walk you through how to forward ports. emelen
From what I've seen, the BAWSAQ is dead and hasn't moved for MONTHS.. None of my investments in my portfolio have shown any movement for MONTHS.. This independent website, bawsaqtrax.com also hasn't shown any movement on any of the stocks listed, across any of the platforms.. You may be wasting your time faffing with router settings, only to be disappointed when you get through to it..
FPU___
Okay, thanks Spuds. I think I might give it a miss though.

Ok-- not sure if this is pertinent-- but connecting to Bawsaq and their movement are 2 different things... I am on PS3 and and can conncect to the bawsaq-- I have no idea if they are moving or not-- I did just buy $10,000 worth of a few stocks and will see what they do for me... Some of these are necessary for manipulating the stock market via the assassination missions and they still should be affected by single player play.... example is BettaPharmaceuticals (assassination #1), Fruit & Facade (Assassination #3), Vapid (Assassination #4) .... as long as you can connect to purchase them. The above advice is for trying to connect-- It will not make them start moving randomly but the above ones should move after the assassination missions...... it does not take long to forward ports on a router-- certainly worth a try-- the worst thing it can do is make your connection better for gaming... I am seeing a slight difference in the prices from 3 different sources.... AMU (Ammu-Nation) On http://www.bawsaqtrax.com/#/stockprices/ps3 --999.98 On http://socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/ps3/bawsaq999.98 On my PS3 game-- 999.96 I will note that the stocks I purchased took about 15 minutes to sync up with the social club.... and the sync up did kind of screw up... It shows I own 802 "units" of Ammunation-- I only purchased 10 shares ($10,000 worth)... I only purchased $10,000 worth (EACH) of 2 stocks-- but it shows my portfolio worth $812,000 (only on the social club)-- not on my game....
