DaGengster
Ive been playing a lot of the older GTAs on my iPhone (mostly as a pass time while waiting for cloud/loading/timed out simulator (aka gta online) on my PC) Recently finished gta 3 and SA. 3 was interesting. This was the first time Ive played it. Idk why but driving is a pain. SA was amazing, just like how I remembered it 5-7 years ago. Vice city was the first GTA i played but I ditched it in the middle for gta 4. However I dont remember most of it, other than that annoying demolition mission where you had to fly that stupid helicopter. Currently its being sold for $5 on the app store, it worth getting and playing? Probs not as good as SA but it still worth playing?
Big_Smiley
My man were taking "Vice City" here. I can't say the amount of grate times i had playing this game back in the Ps2 days. For a game like VC only costing 5 bucks? Now that's steal right there. SA's only different because the amount of features it had and i mean a crap load of featues. VC had it's own unique way of gameplay and features and still does to this day. Whether it's exploring VC's massive beach or crusing around on your angle motorcycle. Or just simply killing NPC's with a massive list of melee weapons (11 in total) I can name a lot of things why VC is an amazing gta in the series but i don't want to spoil it for you since it seems like it's been a long while since you played it. Stop reading this and do your self a favor and buy VC! You wont regret it Oh just a quick tip... Water is still your enemy in this gta so careful with the water lol. Vanzant
The best way to play it is either PC or Xbox. I'll never understand why the demolition mission is so hard... I have never failed it. Detective De Santa
I would say yes, vice city on the PS2 is some of my happiest memories on GTA, the radio stations are pure gold.
DaGengster
Thanks for input. Bought it. The best way to play it is either PC or Xbox. I'll never understand why the demolition mission is so hard... I have never failed it. Yea, ik iphone isnt really the best platform but the point of this is so I can play gta when I dont have access to my gaming PC(like if im traveling and etc). If Im on my PC, id probs be playing something else. As for the demolition mission, this time (on my phone) I managed to do it in 2 tries. I think the reason people think its difficult is because its the first time you fly a plane. Mixed with having to maneuver around the inside of a building and having people trying to shot and hit you with hammers, it makes it more stressful I guess. DontSpankMaBitchUp
Yes. Just beware of water and your vehicle catching on fire (you only have about 3 seconds in the 3D Era GTA games before they explode right away to get out and run)

I don't forget it, at least me. I recommend the PS2 version. Has trails, ped and Tommy sounds (when you hit a vehicle, etc) and everything how should to be. In PC you need mod it for enable the trails effect, fix textures, sounds, etc. VC in PC is very, very broken obv if you don't mod it. Vice City in Xbox already has Trails but I don't know if the other things are broken just like in PC, so I go with the PS2 version or get the PC and mod it to get closer to PS2 ver. Tycek
What kind of question is that? Of course it's worth getting and every money spent on it, will be spent well.
Vik
Its definitely worth getting. You could get it on your PC as the game isn't that intensive (even our phones can run it)

BlackSnow176
GTA III and GTA Vice City > San Andreas, GTA IV, GTA V, GTA VI You should really try VC and actually complete it this time Edited September 9, 2015 by BlackSnow176
DaGengster
GTA III and GTA Vice City > San Andreas, GTA IV, GTA V, GTA VI You should really try VC and actually complete it this time Just finished all the main story mission. Over all pretty good. tommys kind of a dick at times. But the driving mechanics though... Where rubber tires never introduced to vc or something? XD maybe im just getting too used to gta v super glue tires (but i still think cars on vc slide around a lot more than any other gta game) As for your comparison, gta 4, gta online, and sa are probs my favs. But this might be bc i spent more time playing around with mods on sa and 4 Edited September 10, 2015 by DaGengster
gtafan2u
Man never compare anything in your life with money. Cuz good things comes in small packages. I liked VC so much that even SA looks fainted in front of it for me.

MEJ
The best way to play it is either PC or Xbox. I'll never understand why the demolition mission is so hard... I have never failed it. Yes, this mission was too hard for me when i played it 12 years ago but after that i can finish it in just one mintue. We must keep trying and we will get everything not only in GTA or in any other video game. Yes, PC, XBOX and PS2/3 are the best equipments to run such games. We will enjoy it there. Cell phones games must be simple for wasting the time while we are in the way in a TAXI, LOL.
GreenOnions
Definitely! I can't recommend it highly enough. For what it's worth, the handling of the vehicles in Vice City is a bit tighter than it is in GTA III, but a lot less precise than in San Andreas. (Closer to III than San Andreas in this regard, really). I also played San Andreas before GTA III or Vice City, so adjusting to a different "feel" is a bit of a learning curve, and will probably be kind of frustrating at first. But once you get the hang of it, you should have a great time!
